  1. You can find her other shabads here... http://www.sikhroots.com/audio/index.php?q=f&f=%2FKeertani_-_International%2FBibi+Manika+Kaur Simply beautiful production...
  2. Isn't the live broadcast working?
  3. Well said. He will be missed by the generation who grew up listening to his kirtan and sakhiyaan. I pray and hope waheguru has granted him a place close to his charan. He was a kirtan legend of our time.
  4. Does the show ever get repeated during the week? My sky plus failed to record the programme... argggggg
  5. I was rather surprised to read in the paper the other day that the police still haven't caught the killers of Bhai Sukhwinder Singh who was stabbed in East London a year ago. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23915445-muggers-who-murdered-father-are-free-because-of-dont-snitch-culture.do A gorri Jo Yeates is killed over Christmas and its in the news everyday until they caught someone. Whilst a death of any person is bad, it even more sad how the perpetrators behind the killing of our Singh are still at large.
  6. I understand there is a new serial about the life of Maharaja Ranjit Singh running in India. Looks ok from the brief clips I've seen on youtube. Does anyone know if they plan to show it outside of india? Maybe one of the Sikh Channels in the UK should show it. Would get the parents off Star+ If anyone knows where you can watch it online properly please post a link. The videos on you tube are too short and scattered all over the place making it quite difficult to watch in sequence.
  7. What time is Bhai Tejinder Singh (Khanne Wale) & Bhai Manpreet Singh going to do kirtan tonight?
  8. Bhai Amandeep Singh did absolutely beautiful kirtan this morning. Can't wait for the recordings...
  9. Has Bhai Gurpreet Singh done kirtan yet in the rehnsbhai?
  10. The katha is brilliantly done and very simple to understand. It is very inspiring to know what Guru ji is actually saying. Although I think it will take a few years to get through it all because it so long. You can either download the MP3s yourself from the site www.gurbaniupdesh.org or order the CDs which contains the MP3s.
  11. I am well pleased to hear about another Sikh Channel on Sky. Bring it on! I do have every sympathy for The Sikh Channel who have struggled for the past year to keep the channel afloat and now that it has taken off, others want to try and pull it off aswell. For the sangat it is a positive move as more Sikhi parchar the better. Not every programme on the Sikh Channel is to everyone's taste so if you have a choice I see no harm in that. If there are more to come then may they all succeed with Waheguru Ji's kirpa in spreading the knowledge of Sikhi, because that is what it should be all about at the end of day
  12. http://timetv.in/live.htm They have got top raagi's as judges. Absolutely brilliant!
  13. I didn't know the lady who was mugged was also a Sikh! No wonder the Sukhwinder Singh chased after them... A TEARFUL mugging victim yesterday paid tribute to the have-a-go-hero killed by her attackers. Karamjit Kaur, 28, hailed Sukhwinder Singh as her "guardian angel". Weeping, she said the father of one "did the bravest thing anyone could do". She added: "He was a guardian angel coming out of the darkness to help me. "His wife has lost a husband and his child their father. I can't stop crying." Karamjit was set upon by two men as she walked home from Barking railway station, East London. One grabbed her bag - punching her three times in the face. Sukhwinder, 31, heard her screams and chased the thieves - but one pulled a knife and stabbed him. He died in hospital after the attack on Friday night. Sukhwinder had worked in London for ten years - sending money back to his wife, 29, and ten-year-old son in India. The robbers were said to be black men in their 20s or 30s.
  14. I saw his contact details on one of his Shud Santheya videos on the opening title sequence. Not sure if that was on www.gurbaniupdesh.org or on youtube. Hope that helps.
  15. Sounds like the same as my knees and legs. Can't say I have ever payed any attention to it, nor do I suffer from any pains because of them. Early 30s now but guess the problems will start when I become a bhudda. Although sitting in chonkree is becoming a little more difficult. Hmmmm
  16. For what it's worth I think Sikh Channel is great. Its the first channel I switch to when my sky box turns on. If it was subscription I would still be be happy to pay for it. There may be those out there who can't afford a fixed subscription, but all Sikhs should be able to watch it regardless. So we as a community need to come together and help this great venture. Out goes Zee tv and in with the Sikh Channel. So I'm happy to put in seva, subscription or direct debit to play a tiny part in keeping this channel alive. I will be really happy if channel lives on and will be really sad and disappointed if it goes off air due to lack of funding. I personally can't preach/teach Sikhi to others but if my seva helps those who can and are making a effort to do so then I see my kirat de kammi helping in the mission to spread the great teachings of our religion. May the Sikh Channel florish to every Sikh household throughout the world. We need it.... My humble benti to the Sikh Channel Staff is that once you reach your target income, get rid of those steaming name messages/dedications at the bottom of the screen. Its annoying, distracting and takes your mind away from the real message being spread on the channel. Its like standing in an ardas whilst 100s of names are read out coz they donated a couple of quid towards the ardas. It puts us Sikh's to shame because it portrays us as maya and ego hungry individuals. Bhul Chuk Maf
  17. Is Bhai Gurpreet Singh (Shimla Wale) going to be doing kirtan at this programme?
  18. Are recordings being done for Baba ji's Uk Tour? I got there too late last night.
  19. Its on Sunday 26th April starting from Gurdwara Dasmesh Darbar on Roseberry Avenue, East Ham. Starts at 1pm if I remember correctly.
  20. Brilliant Start!!!! May Guru Ji keep his mehar bharaya hath on this channel and may it continue to provide invaluable sewa to the Sikh Panth for years to come... :WW: :WW: :WW: :WW: :WW:
  21. Thank you ever so much web sevadars at Gurdwara Sri Guru HarKrishan Sahib for allowing us sangat sitting so far away to be so near. Your efforts are much appreciated..
  22. Anyone know where I can find some MP3s of Bhai Raavinder Jeet Singh? There are some videos of him doing some beautiful kirtan on youtube. Also after some of Bhai Gurbachan Singh Lali (Delhi Wale)
