  1. lmao hahahahahahah omg #dead I laughed so hard
  2. Calm down it's just a biscuit.
  3. What you need to understand is that taking Amrit is a transition you make in your life to become part of the khalsa and adopt sikh philosphy. Obviously I don't think Amrti is just sugar water, however the context of my post was to get people to think. Clearly your arogance didn't allow you to do so before making your replies. Anyone can drink amrit (water mixed with some patasay) but the physical amrit is just sugar wate. It is not what is vital in determing how well you mold your life according to sikh philosphy. The message of justice that the Khalsa empowred was what turned "Indian into Khalsa." Also, stop being so sensitive you guys need to chill and stop being such pandits about everything.
  4. I'm afraid the video tapes of Dasmesh Pita talking about this issue were lost somewhere....... We don't know what, how or to whom he has said something. Say I were to message you a story and you were to tell a person in your life this story and they were to tell another and eventually 100 people know the story. Think about how much this story is going to change when it reaches the 100th person, it's likely to be a very altered story. If Guru Nanak's purpose was to help people move away from superstition then we can lend support to the argument that Guru Gobind Singh probably wouldn't support dheray babay. (OBVIOUSLY NOT!)
  5. I'LL MAKE OF THIS. If they do w/e the unfortunate souls in the video are doing I'm afraid they've moved back several steps. Taking amrit and tying a dumalla doesn't change anything. These are physical things which don't reflect what wealth these brothers have actually obtained. They might actually be more in debt than before. (note I'm not using wealth and debt as metaphors for what some superstitious people like to call "kamai", take them for face value as progress on the path of sikhi)
  6. I hope I'm not the only one questioning the validity of the videos LOL
  7. There is no use in wasting your time to collect information from this forum about Faqar-e-quam Parkash Singh Badal. I think we all know how much power he has and this no name forum can't do anything but waste time as I've just done by making this reply....
  8. A person who tries to give and take with god can't get anywhere. God is not your accountant. Being amritdhari isn't going to make you a better sikh than anyone else. Do you really think you've come to some higher level of understanding after drinking some sugar water? Amrit is important but you are yet to understand this my friend.
  9. Throw it in the garbage just like how hair goes in the garbage then get a new one. People who can't use basic logic like this OP are prone to following babay. You should be able to use your own brain and not come on a forum to ask about some ritual you need to do or something. Sikhi is a way of life not a variation of HInduism. It is so sad how prevalent the Hindu thinking process is in our "sikh" brothers. If people tried to understand bani instead of doing daily nitnem without understanding a word I'm sure such questions would not come up, at least not this frequently.

    About 5 Kakars

Who tells you these absurd things that kakkars can't come off? It's not an arm or leg. You guys need to think things through with some logic and not act like all hell is going to break loose if a kakkar comes off. Having a kakkar on or off isn't going to change who you are as a person/sikh. Wear your kakkars but don't treat these possessions like they have some godly value. You don't realize this because it's so well integrated into people but this is a form of superstition which sikhi philosophy doesn't follow. Take this comment to your brain then your heart.
  11. Another example of what is wrong with "Sikhs" today. Sikhi isn't about growing hair with whatever you're referring to.
  12. This user is a prime example of what is wrong with "Sikhs" today. I'm not even going to elaborate why. Read bani and understand it don't add your own mirch masalay.
  13. No biggie man. Deleted. That's not going to change anything so just recognize it was a mistake and you're good.
  14. What proof do you have about such a story... I can make up stories too. Stories are made up so kids develop a strong sense of faith. I'm just puzzled how gullible people above the age of 10 are.
  15. I'm just astonished by the way people think... % of your simran?! Are you serious? If you're going to play the game of I did x amount of simran, sewa etc with Waheguru then you have no hope my friend. Learn to be a little selfless... sheesh
  16. I'm guessing we can only wear black, blue, white, and orange t-shirts?
  17. I think the views here are too biased. Colour shouldn't be such an issue and I'm not exactly sure from where people are getting these views. Singh, If you're a sikh and you practise nitnem I don't think the colour of your dastar is such an issue to be even brought up. I understand "colours of khalsa" , however If you're unawre the Akali party's colour is blue. So if you wear blue so you support Akali? NO. Users might see my views as too liberal but I think views here are too right wing.
  18. I'm sure they mean no harm. I bet if you educate them they would realize why it's inappropriate. Again, I'm only saying this because they seem to be unaware...
  19. I would like to inform you that Harvinder Singh is bought. The "stunts" he pulls are backed by politicians. Last time he took his kirpan out and said a few worlds about the 9th guru, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and later about Bhagat Singh etc. In other words his image of a sardar is being used. The things he does are favourable in the public eye but the big picture should also be looked at.
  20. I agree with you there. Growing up a sikh and going to a sikh religious school in Canada, I've never heard of Dasam Granth till recently. So, as I stated earlier I can't make a decision since I haven't fully read Sri Guru Granth sahib Ji and have only learned about the existence of Dasam Granth. I just want to make it clear that I'm not against "Dasam Granth" as I know most people on this forum are Pro Dasam Granth. Therefore, there must be something I don't know so I've began looking into it.
