  7. I was reading "Harmander Darshan" by Dr. Saroop Singh Alag, where he beautifully explained in couple of lines, why "Harmander Sahib" is called "Harmander Sahib". He says, where there is hanuman moorti/idol, it's called Hanuman Mander, if they have shiv moorti, it's called Shiv mander, so and so. But Sri Harmander Sahib is the house of Hari - hareya hoeya, saareyan nu hareya karan wala, har tha vasan wala, har-ik di paalna/daya karan wala, har-ik de layi khula, thats why its called "Harmander Sahib". The writer has also shared real-life stories of the sikhs and non-sikhs having amazing spiritual experiences in Harmander Sahib. I'll try to post them in short as I read along. waheguru
  8. 1. Apart from Hindu caste, Vashno also means vegetarian in punjabi. e.g. some people say "ansi vashno vyaah karna", means totally vegetarian wedding. 2. I don't think eating no meat can effect the growth. Our Guru sahiban, singh shaehehs, mahapurkhs, gursikh, sikh-sangat never eat meat. It's just you have to take special care of your veg-diet, takiing all the required nutrients and vitamins that body needs. 3. Egg is not allowed because it is further to give birth to a chicken, and by not giving that opportunity, its like killing it. It's like an abortion. Apart from this, eggs has many side-effects, google it. Hope this makes sense.
  9. Would he still think the same if all these blessings come to an end, what if his wife dies, children get loss in business or personal life, he himself get some desease, coz once he has used up all his "punns", he's bound to come back and pay for not remembering God?
  10. waheguru ji, is it possible to do sewa and get it available online to download, as it seems to be very beautifully, simply, yet deeply put togeher and easy to understand?
  11. I remeber this hearing in some katha that there was a man in Delhi, who was kind of a desi-vaid(doctor), used to give purhia to patients. To surprise, everyone who used to come to him, would get cured. What he used to do was he used to go to Bangla sahib at amritwela, do jhaarho-sewa and would bring the charn-dhoorh home and which he would hand out to his patients without telling them that this is charan-dhoorh. Such is the power of charan-dhoorh. waheguru
  12. Sangat Ji, we all are rogi, physically or mentally, in some way or other and look for medication outside when we have the best medication, easily available which is "charan-dhoorh". The only requirement is the faith - shardha. It can change & erase bad karams and form good ones. Let's share stories where people got cured by charan-dhoorh, so that shardha develops in our minds too.
  13. Sant Baba Gurdial Singh ji Tandewale:- "Iston pehla ke tera shareer "kaal" kha jaye, isnu "akaal" vich leja"
  14. Sant Baba Gurdial Singh ji Tandewale:- " Jis pal isnu maut da anubhav ho jana, us pal isde ander dharam da janam ho jana"
  15. Sant Ranjit Singh ji Dhadriawale:- "Sare kehnde nu tu sanu mann, sade kol aa, tenu putar deange, sohne mehal munare deange, paisa deanhe- koi kami nahi rahegi par mere Dhan dhan sache paatshah Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji kehnde han ke aa sikha tenu dasaa, tenu dikhawa putra to bina, mehal munarea to bina, aisho-aaram to bina kiwein raheya janda hai"
  16. ^^ very true, we are not to judge anyone. It's waheguru ji's job to see how to work it out because he has to deal with all punni and paapi. HE wants us to be par-upkari, dyaalu, dekh ke undith karna, treating everyone equally.
  17. Sant Baba Balwant Singh ji Tandewale:- Apni dhee da vyaah karan vele 6 galan da khyaal rakho, jehra ena 6 cheezan da khyaal ni rakhda, usdi ladki hamesha dukhi rahoo:- Aasa, isht, upasna, khaan, paan, pehraan 1. Umar 2. Humkhyaal - Jis ghar vich aurat marad de khyala ch farak hai, duniya ch uston vada narak koi nahin. 3. Asha -Goal ik howe - rab nu milan da 4. Guru ik howe 5. Pehnana ralda howe 6. 18. Waheguru ji, could you please share the stories you mentioned?
  19. Sant Baba Balwant Singh ji Tandewale:- 3 Bachans 1. Je kise da bhala nahin kar sakde, bura na karo 2. Je punn nai hunda, ta paap vi na kareya karo 3. Sabhton vadi bhagti, koi mandir jaye, koi masjid jaye, kise nu roko na te apna rasta shado na
  20. We always say "Nanak naam chardikala, tere bhaane sarbat da bhala". We just say it, but never pay attention to what it really means. Obviously it has more than one and deep meaning. Everyone according to their level conceives it. "Nanak Naam Chardikala" - Guru Nanak Sahib ji ne jehra naam/shabad dita hai "waheguru" ya jiwein aapan kehnde han "Dhan Guru Nanak Tuhin Nirankar", onu japan de naal hamesha chardikala rehndi hai, kyonki "waheguru" naam ta aap chardikala da saroop hai ate saareya nu chardikala bakhshan wala hai. "Tere Bhaane sarbat da bhala"- sareeyan da bhala howe, par howe tere bhaane vich, teri raza vich, jiwein tu chaunda hai. Bhul chuk maaf Sanagat please share views.
  21. Bhai Guriqbal Singh ji Kaulsarwale :- "haon mooya, khuda huaa"
