  1. Where are the original rehat maryadas? Where did the SGPC get the info from to make this version of the rehat. Also, are there any letters or old rehatnamas that comment on how to take care of SGGS saroop? I was talking to this guy who thinks it's ok to keep SGGS in a house where alcohol is. He keeps saying what if his family drinks and he doesn't, he can still keep SGGS. Are there any histroical documents that tell us about the protocol on keeping SGGS.

  2. How do you do your hair for a gol pagh? I do a loose one at the moment but it looks really stupid. One side of the joora is higher than the rest so it sticks out and makes my pagh look wonky.

^sort of looks like that, one side has a lot more hair than the other.

  3. Don't know how people can say they support India, even today I see Sikhs saying "India independence day, woo!". Shocking, the day when everything was taken away from us. I can't see how anyone can celebrate the day we were made slaves. This is how India repays us? After our community sacrificed the most for freedom, they repay us by shooting at us? By changing our history? By attacking us? Wow, they really know how to thank people.

  4. Fancy Kela Veer in your 1st paragraph you wrote at the "Gurdwara". Surely, in Legal_Khan's case, you meant to write Masjid?

However, then again, at the Masjid they probably applaud these acts as Hazrat Muhammad himself regularly had sex with his 9 year old child wife Aisha. I don't think Legal_Khan will ever oppose Hazrat Muhammad as a pedophile as vulnerable, mentally depressed children made into drug addicts by Muslim child groomers are much worse in Legal_Khan's eyes.

I don't know if he's Muslim, because the sad fact is that there alot of people in our community that refuse to believe these things are happening. I happen to know some people. Her daughter left and got off with a sullah. The sullah then left her with 3 kids. The woman said "it's ok if she goes with a Muslim, as long as she is happy".

There is no doubt however that there are Muslims that go to our gurdware and prey on girls. (according to a SAS talk)

  5. Have you ever been to USA? European don't have anything on USA in terms of violence and backwardness. Yes, Europeans are very racist as well, but how many Europeans you hear that kill innocent minorities compare to USA? USA is a gun friendly country who aren't exactly welcoming towards brown people (like Sikhs) into their country.

My pagh wearning cousin got back from Crete. He said that it was worse than the US. I'm sure they would attack him if he was older. He's 14 years old and got abuse from most people. Wasn't like that in America.
  6. USA is the last nation to live if you're a Sikh. Racial division in that country is insane and looking different (nevermind brown) is enough reason for Americans to kill you. USA has very violent culture where guns are accepted by general public. High crime and murder rate in that country is similar to 3rd world crime and murder rates. USA is most violent and racist country in the west.

It's going to be very hard task for Sikhs in USA to overcome this hate and violent culture by educating and fighting back against Americans. It's going to take a lot of resources and leadership (which we lack in our community) to fight back against such people.

Have you ever been to Eastern Europe or Greece?

  7. There is alot scriputres about Satan in Sri Granth, like this one:

"Cursed are the lives of those who read and write the Lord's Name to sell it.

Their crop is devastated - what harvest will they have?

Lacking truth and humility, they shall not be appreciated in the world hereafter.

Wisdom which leads to arguments is not called wisdom.

Wisdom leads us to serve our Lord and Master; through wisdom, honor is obtained.

Wisdom does not come by reading textbooks; wisdom inspires us to give in charity.

Says Nanak, this is the Path; other things lead to Satan. "

Since Nanak have said this, there is Satan. By denying it, you deny pretty much existence of waheguru aswell.

If you believe in a devil figure that's fine, If that is the way you understand the 5 vices then its cool.

  8. , you lose out on several social groups, friends, girls and so on. Sometimes it's not a great lose or you can find something better elsewhere.

They aren't "friends" then are they. A friend wouldn't care how you look like, or what faith you choose to follow. Not much of a loss if that friend leaves you. If you are ready, go for it. People will make jokes and try to discourage you. But stand tall, if you get rid of your pagh then people will see you're weak and then take the piss over other things. Some people may avoid you, but at the same time other people will approach you. I advise that you learn how to defend youself (everyone pagh or no pagh should know how to), there are ignorant, vile people in this world. Wearing a pagh isn't bad at all. I once considered cutting my hair, but I couldn't do it (was going through an athiest phase). The pagh shapes me, it is me. Without it I'm just another face in the crowd. I have had bad experiences, but they have made me into a better person. It has made me stronger and more determined, to be the best that I can. Remember that the pagh is the stamp of your guru. You become a representive of Sikhi, so it makes you always have to be the best person you can be. If you are ready then go for it.
  9. The different names are just used to describe God's qualities. For example Sikhs could call God, Waheguru (wonderful teacher), or you could use the name Akaal Purkh (timeless lord). Both these mames are just describing aspects of God. In the same way the Guru Granth Sahib uses different names for God (Allah, Ram) to describe the qualities.
