  1. Beer da glass at the back?? And here we are trying to change peoples stereotypes about Sikhs and drinking! Seems we're failing! Ridiculous!! Oh and is that an Indian flag aswel?! :wow:
  2. Step one: Go to: http://fateh.sikhnet.../CyberHukamnama Step two: Do Ardaas as usual in which you ask your question, tell Guru Ji about your issue and ask Guru Ji for a Hukamnama. Step three: Click "Take Hukamnama" I think you may need to click on "Click on the icon to view this Shabad seperated" if it takes you to a middle of a Shabad, im not 100% sure though.
  3. Very good post! But "pleasure is a disease" sounds a little vague. They should be taught where to and where not to derive pleasure from. I understand that we're meant to remain detached but sometimes on this forum i get the impression that Sikhs are somehow supposed to be completely devoid of feelings like a zombie or something! We have hobbies, do we not consider those pleasurable? Children get bored because they're not always taught in a way that they enjoy and in this day and age learning needs to be fun with all the distractions around and ways they can get "short term happiness". With Maharajs kirpa the wisdom will come to them as they grow up and they will understand what difficulties come with that kind of happiness. Its sparking that initial interest we need to work on, the interest that will lead to the true source of pleasure, Naam!
  4. In all your posts you sound like you're brainwashed and it sounds like you've brainwashed others into supposedly following a Gurmat lifestyle or what is your warped view of a Gurmat lifestyle. And are you joking with the comment above..."actively convert", we dont actively try to convert people into Sikhi! We do parchaar and inspire people to want to learn more about it and to learn about it themselves. Sadh Sangat thinks there is something seriously wrong with you!
  5. This is what everyone with your opinion says. Its has nothing to do with ego! Unless its affecting yours? After reading your replies i think what your are saying is just ridiculous. If thats what you want then its no longer langar, it goes against the whole idea of langar and seva. Preparation of langar has conditions but it is not reserved for anybody, langar is not exclusive. Although i respect your opinion what you want is not gonna happen. Recently during an rainsbhai at Leamington Gurdwara the organisers and many people attending wanted the langar to be made by Amritdharis only and they ended up causing alot of problems. Eventually the normal sangat and committee said fine go ahead, tusi langar banao, sirf tusi langar khao! If you want us adhere to your conditions then no one else is going to eat langar! They told them as bluntly as you told HKaur16 Ji. Ive seen Gursikhs who have very high jeevans eating langar like everybody else and they didnt seem to have any problems. Hopefully you will use your consciousness and put it to good use and improve your Gursikhi jeevan but... you're not very conscious are you Daas "Consciousness" Waheguru...

    halal meat

Paaji, this is not true. The majority of Sikhs who eat meat do not care what kind of meat it is, Most of them know the place where they are eating is serves halaal meat unless of course they miss the huge halaal signs outside! I have even pointed it out to them in the past. Most of the restaurants owned by Sikhs also use halaal meat, knowingly. Im not sure where you are based but this is certainly the case in the U.K. Pagal hogai sare!!
  7. Also Auzer in the other post you said..... "You don't need to bring Islam in everything...Get over with your inferiority-complex regarding Islam.... Did I ever make any comparison of Sikhism with Islam? There's a reason... You can't compare the two faiths...Just like you can't compare India with China........" and "See the Sikh members here who ALWAYS bring Islam in....Whereas , I NEVER even wrote the word "Islam" throughout my posts..." Inferiority complex? Tu ki boli janda?! And the other things you mention about comparisons with Islam and the Sikh members bringing Islam into their posts.....Auzer you are coming onto a Sikh forum where Sikh people talk about Sikhi....You are a Muslim coming onto a Sikh forum to try and "discuss" Sikhi with Sikhs which is fine but your posts are pro-Islamic and pro-Pakistani which just so happens to be an Islamic state which means you are by default bringing Islam into the topics so dont give me that rubbish.
  8. Auzer Ji, you are too quick to try and point out contradictions in Sikhi when there are so many unanswered questions in Islam. Explain these first before you start on other religions. Your argument is ridiculous and unjustified . Muslims try their hardest to emualte their prophet and do things "just because he did or because he said so and its sunnat". Imo this again, is ridiculous as the majority of things you do are baseless, however, as you believe he was the messenger of God somehow copying him will get you to heaven, then thats fine. My point being Muslims do many pointless things none of which have any value or valid reason; trimming your moustache a certain way; wearing trousers halfway at your ankles; raising and lowering certain fingers at specific points during namaaz; stepping into a mosque with a certain foot etc etc! I could also bring up the classic arguement of circumcision, we have canines in our buccal cavity because we're supposed to eat meat hey, the foreskin must also serve a purpose yet you decide to cut it off!! Waheguru...
  9. WJKK WJKF I think this is what you might be looking for. http://www.sikhsange...=search&start=0
  10. Thats what I was thinking! Its not as if they are the only ones who dont use the proper Raags. And i think it would be more respectful if their name was written out properly instead of just "Harjinder", seem to be lacking in the respect department.
  11. I can't verify this but i heard on Sunday 1st July a Muslim girl got married to a Sikh boy at East Park Road Gurdwara!! It apparently took place earlier then usual. I know there was definitely a wedding which took place early but not sure about the bride and groom! Know anything about it??
