  3. Simran345, its good you do seva. Continue doing it. You're right non-Amritdhari and Amritdhari are not perfect, which is why we do seva and abhiyaas of Naam and Gurbani to become virtuous.
  4. The gist behind Guru Granth Sahib jee has seriously been missed. Faith + Listening + Love of Naam (Vaheguru mantar) produces EXPERIENCE. Also, Naam produces Gyaan (knowledge) and Budh (intelligence). The intelligence some of you are talking about is not intelligence, but the ability to know and do more than what an animal can. Intelligence comes from knowing your source/origin (God) and by taking birth with karams of compassion, charity, good deeds, reciting naam (from another religion) until Vaheguru leads that person to Guru Nanak and then on top of that inspires that Sikh to never forget God. Sikhs need to grow their Naam and Gurbani Abhiyaas so that they can erase their mayl which will enable them to experience spirituality. Those who have not experienced God should not assume God doesnt exist. Your doubt exists due to being entrapped in the power of Ego which has entangled you in Maya/illusion, thus your ego blinds you to the extent that you only believe what you perceive through these worldly senses. The ego is such that it does not want to believe anything else except for what it knows through Maya. The karams are to blame, as we continued this doubt and love for Maya. They prefer the gift, instead of the Giver; such is the way of the self-willed manmukhs. What can anyone say about their intelligence, their understanding or their cleverness? God purposely stays hidden to test his creation. Vaheguru/Guru Nanak is a diamond and diamonds are rare to find. He is only found through Gur Shabad, which is the Vaheguru mantar. In the water, on the land, and in the sky, He is pervading but hidden; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, He is revealed. ||Pause|| When we experience God, this is personal, but it is not personal to another who is Gurmukh too as they both can share spirituality. It is up to the Gurmukh if they want any one else to experience spirituality, if they do they will only for that person who is innocent like a child. The one under the power of Ego is bound by it until Vaheguru himself does kirpa - ਹਉ ਵਿਚਿ ਆਇਆ ਹਉ ਵਿਚਿ ਗਇਆ ॥ In ego they come, and in ego they go. In ego they are born, and in ego they die. In ego they give, and in ego they take. In ego they earn, and in ego they lose. In ego they become truthful or false. In ego they reflect on virtue and sin. In ego they go to heaven or hell. In ego they laugh, and in ego they weep. In ego they become dirty, and in ego they are washed clean. In ego they lose social status and class. In ego they are ignorant, and in ego they are wise. They do not know the value of salvation and liberation. In ego they love Maya, and in ego they are kept in darkness by it. Living in ego, mortal beings are created. When one understands ego, then the Lord's gate is known. Without spiritual wisdom, they babble and argue. O Nanak, by the Lord's Command, destiny is recorded. It is not a difficult task to experience God. The term Evidence is used by the ego due to the influence of Maya. In a world of Maya, the only evidence will be within Maya. 5. I agree, I believe that growth for Sikhs is only based on Spiritual Growth. It might sound unimaginable how someone can grow spiritually, but through continuous abhiyaas on Naam and Gurbani we develop guns (virtues). Naam and Gurbani is what made Sant Jarnail Singh what he is, same goes for Baba Deep Singh and Banda Singh Bahadur. All the qualities they possess has come from making all kinds of effort with Gurbania and Naam. Did you know that writing Gurbani/Guns is a rehit/hukam from Guru Granth Sahib Jee because it increases spirituality fast, why do you think Baba Deep Singh Jee was so POWERFUL? That's the Paras Kala of Gurbani and Naam that by touching it again and again we become gods - ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਉਹਾੜੀ ਸਦ ਵਾਰ ॥ A hundred times a day, I am a sacrifice to my Guru; He made gods out of men, without delay. ||1||

  8. Here is the website for the ransubayee kirtan, at some of these they hold a amrit sanchar - http://www.akj.org/skins/one/programs.php?countryid=4 They especially have one at their international ones, however they do not announce all of the amrit sanchars. So, you could call the contact numbers for each of the ransubayee?
  9. Of course you can go to the Gurdwara and you can do seva too. Guru Sahib has never said a woman cannot do seva due to her period. It's natural for women to get this.
  10. lol sorry, thought you were. Anyway, what you have said is true.

    Waheguru

In the shabad which you have as your signature, it says 'One who calls himself a Sikh of the True Guru (Satguru), shall rise in the early morning and meditate on the Lord's Name'. Guru Arjun Dev jee is the same as Guru Gobind Singh Jee. So, Guru Gobind Singh Jee says God's Name is Vaheguru and we are only to recite Vaheguru - vwihgurU guru mMqR su jwp kr iesnwn pVHY jpu jwpu ]] vaahiguroo gur ma(n)thr s jaap kar eisanaan parrhai jap jaap |||| Repeat the Mantra of the Guru 'Vaheguru'. Take your bath and then read your morning prayers. Rehatnama Bhai Nand Laal Jee and vwihgurU gurmMqR hY jip haumY KoeI] vaahiguroo gurama(n)thr hai jap houmai khoee|| His Guru-mantar is Vaheguru, whose recitation erases egotism Bhai Gurdas Jee Gurbani says following Guru Sahib's teachings allows you to find Vaheguru and without his teachings we cannot, so the above line here states Vaheguru is the GURMANTAR, WHICH REMOVES HAUMAI. So, without the Gurmantar we cannot find Vaheguru. and lastly - siq nwm krqw purKu vwihgurU ivic irdY smwey] sath naam karathaa purakh vaahiguroo vich ridhai samaaeae|| By its grace the True named creator Lord, Vaheguru, comes to reside in the heart. Bhai Gurdas Jee Vaar The start of Guru Granth Sahib Jee begins with Sat Nam Karta Purakh too and this above line explains what the Sat Nam of Karta Purakh is, which is Vaheguru. So, whoever does not recite Vaheguru is not a Sikh (true devotee) of Satguru (Vaheguru/Guru Nanak/Guru Gobind Singh), which clears this up too - ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਮਨਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥ Without the True Guru, no one has found Him; reflect upon this in your mind and see. According to you and others who claim that other religions take you directly to God, Vaheguru must have sent Guru Sahib onto earth for no reason and Guru Sahib and all his Gursikha sacrificed their lives for nothing. I do not wish to carry on with this debate now! As long as you're amritdhari, japping Naam and following all of Guru Sahib's rehita thats fine; you can believe what you like.
  12. No one should be bound by the teachings of anyone except for Guru Sahib. Regarding the rehitnama of there being 25 Singhs, if that really is a rehit made by Gursikhs of Guru Sahib's time then I believe it is refering to Singhnia too. Otherwise, it can be made up in recent times. A lot of false things have been introduced recently such as Akal Takht has made the wearing of a dastar optional for women. Now, if that rehitnama (25 Singhs) is true and made by a Gursikh in Guru Sahib's time then Singhs can also refer to Singhnia. For instance, some rehita refer to men but they can be applied to women - mWie BYx jo AwvY sMgiq idRSit burI dyKy iqs pMgiq ] maa(n)e bhain jo aavai sa(n)gath dhrishatt buree dhaekhae this pa(n)gath || Great sinners are those who cast evil eyes on women who enter the Sangat and do not treat them as mothers and sisters. Rehatnama Bhai Nand Laal Jee and isMG isMG pr SsqR n kry ] jwn gurU Kwlsy qy fry]43] si(n)gh si(n)gh par shasathr n karae || jaan guroo khaalasae thae ddarae||43|| A Sikh should never attack another Sikh. He should recognise others as the Guru Khalsa and should remain fearful of them. Rehatnama Bhai Desa Singh This is what Bhai Gurdas Jee states in his Vaaran about those who become a Panj - prmysr hY pMj imil lyK AlyK n kImiq pweI] paramaesar hai pa(n)j mil laekh alaekh n keemath paaee|| Where the five persons sit together, Lord God, is there, this mystery of indescribably Lord cannot be known. pMj imly prpMc qij Anhd sbd sbid ilv lweI] pa(n)j milae parapa(n)ch thaj anehadh sabadh sabadh liv laaee|| But only those five meet (to sit together) who repudiating hypocrisy have merged their consciousness in the unstruck melody of the Word. http://www.sikhitoth...p?ShabadID=6196 and ieku isKu duie swD sMgu pMjIN prmysru] eik sikh dhue saadhh sa(n)g pa(n)jee paramaesaru|| One is a Sikh, two the Congregation and in five resides God http://www.sikhitoth...p?ShabadID=5849 So, you have shown lack of understanding in Guru Sahib's rehita. If what you said was true and it only means Singhs (men) then Bhai Gurdas Jee would have made that significantly clear! So, the rehit is refering to both Singhs and Singhnia when it says 25 Singhs!

    Waheguru

Well said Mokham Singh ji. Firstly, I pronounce it like this Vaaheguroo with the technique of Saas Giraas given by my panj; I think vaavaa is the right way but anyone else might say differently. Secondly, the most important thing in order to remove any disease is to possess faith and love for Naam and Gurbani. Once you have come to love Naam through Gurbani, the Naam will then instantly calm, cool and sooth the body - ਜਾ ਕਉ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਦੇਹੀ ਵਿਆਪੈ ਰੋਗੁ ॥ When you are plagued by great and excessive anxiety, and diseases of the body; when you are wrapped up in the attachments of household and family, sometimes feeling joy, and then other times sorrow; when you are wandering around in all four directions, and you cannot sit or sleep even for a moment - ਚਿਤਿ ਆਵੈ ਓਸੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ if you come to remember the Supreme Lord God, then your body and mind shall be cooled and soothed. ||3|| The chit (remembrance/suniyaa) has to be such that it has strong faith/belief/hope (maniya) and deep love within it. So, bani such as Sukhmani Sahib and/or Japji Sahib will boost this. Sukhmani Sahib because it emphasises on the Praise of Naam and the more one praises Naam the more love we will have for Naam, Thus we experience Naam's Power. So, continuously recite Sukhmani Sahib and then Jap Naam, back to Sukhmani Sahib and then Naam again (basically do a combination of them). Amritvela is one of the best times to do this, second best is the evening and all day long whenever you have time. Remember to try and keep Vaheguru in mind and tongue all, everyday. Lastly, Patience is important, you have to keep at (Amritvela, evening and Athay Pehar) it until you love Naam and then as Mokham Singh jee said, the Naam will begin japping inside itself without you doing anything.
  14. ok veer ji, but the current issue in Darbar Sahib will not last. It will change in the future, a lot will change. Singhs who do possess hidden ego of inequality will regret it in the future and will become humbled due to seeing the power of singhnia. Guru Sahib will give Singhnia high honour in the future, which will be for those Singhnia who have high respect and love for Guru Sahib through immense Naam and Gurbani Abhiyaas. Regarding an elders opinion, elders/youngster Gursikh talk a lot about their own false views from lacking a Bhramgyan Bibek Budh. Any view I hear which does not show equality for Singhnia is wrong.
  15. Ek0sikh and PAL07- You both should be ashamed of yourself to proudly make such a lowly statement about singhnia. Any singhni is allowed to take part in an Akhand Paath. There is nothing amazing about Singhs over Singhnia regardless of what a rehit may state. If you want to make such ridiculous sexist statements then become a Muslim. This type of thinking is manmat, even if this comes from a Gursikh, it doesnt make it true. Vaheguru is impartial and looks upon everyone equally. Gurbani calls both men and women on earth as soul-BRIDES. Also, Guru Gobind Singh jee states Khalsa mero roop hai khaas -both genders can become a Khalsa. Both genders can become equally as honourable and take part in panj seva, akhand paaths etc.

When you love the Truth, your words are true; they reflect the True Word of the Shabad. The Name of the Lord dwells within the mind; egotism and anger are wiped away. Meditating on the Naam with a pure mind, the Door of Liberation is found. ||2|| As long as we love falsehood Naam will take longer to sink into our mind. The last line explains that when our mind is pure (from paap and Mayl) Naam will easily sink in and anger and egotism will leave us. So you need to be patient and make a daily routine of Naam and Gurbani for yourself. Gurbani explains here that in order to love Truth, which is Naam, we have to sing praises of Naam and this make us love Naam/Vaheguru – ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਗਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਨਾਮੁ ॥ Love for the Lord wells up deep within, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord's Name. ||13|| Since Sukhmani Sahib emphasises Praise of Naam, we should therefore sing that bani. You do not have to do akhand paaths of Sukhmani Sahib, but at least a few astpadees and jap Naam straight after and then go back to Sukhmani Sahib. You need to practice this every evening, Amritvela and whenever else you have time. Once the Naam is enshrined in our mind or even coming to that stage or towards we wont care about false desires and anger will vanish. Instead, compassion, truth and peace will fill our mind. Another thing you can do is read sakhia of Guru Sahib and Gursikhs such as Baba Deep Singh, Banda Singh Bahadur etc. Also, I recommend you read Se Kineyaa (Baba Harnam Singh RampurKhera Walay) and Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh’s autobiography, Rangle Sajjan, Saachkhand Darshan, Anhad Shabad, Unditti Duniya etc. You need to focus on a life of Sikhi/Gurmat and understand the seriousness of this life. We cannot rely on Maya to satisfy and give our mind peace it instead destroys our mind, even worse it does not end with that one paap/sin, it carries on and on. We should not live in this world as if it is eternal because it is not. What if you smoked and suddenly died in the same day or the next. Gurbani explains how we regret in the world hereafter for not loving Vaheguru while we were alive, so we need to make all the effort we can now - ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ਮਿਲੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਹੈ ਏਹ ॥ Listen, O my mind, my friend, my darling: now is the time to meet the Lord. As long as there is youth and breath, give this body to Him. Without virtue, it is useless; the body shall crumble into a pile of dust. O my mind, earn the profit, before you return home. The Gurmukh praises the Naam, and the fire of egotism is extinguished. ||1||Pause||
  17. I have experienced such people but when you accept it and show compassion they come to show it back. If a person from a Sikh background verbally shows rudeness and disrespect, you should just kindly educate him/her about Sikhi/Gurmat. Otherwise, if you notice that they talk about you with others (that is fine, because gurbani says the slanderer is my friend). They may stay away from you or give you cold looks but still be happy with yourself because you are bravely and proudly keeping Guru Sahib's image, which is the image of a True King but still remain humble and kind. You probably feel more insecure due to lack of Naam and Gurbani. The outer form is only justified by keeping the inner self pure. Gurmat/Sikhi was created from the essence of Truth/Naam. So, without naam the outer self becomes meaningless. If amritdhari are doing this, then they are in the wrong because they should be giving a good image in the roop they are keeping as we represent Guru Sahib. So, we should show kindness and respect to others.
  18. You will find bad and good everywhere, that does not mean we judge them. Even if some of them are proud they may have a good heart. We are all imperfect and we are aiming to become perfect ie possess compassionate, loving, caring, sweet speech etc through Naam and Gurbani. God is the Inner-knower of all hearts; God dwells in every place. So who should we call evil? Behold the Word of the Shabad, and lovingly dwell upon it. He calls others bad and good, as long as he is in duality. The Gurmukh understands the One and Only Lord; He is absorbed in the One Lord. ||7|| We should just focus on ourselves and to make ourselves pure. We could only judge another if we think we are perfect. We should always assume we ourselves are imperfect with faults and that we need to make ourselves virtuous. Here, this is how we should view ourselves - ਬਾਬਾ ਮੈ ਕੁਚੀਲੁ ਕਾਚਉ ਮਤਿਹੀਨ ॥ O Baba, I am filthy, shallow and totally without understanding. Without the Naam, no one is anything; the Perfect Guru has made my intellect perfect. I am full of faults, and I have no virtue at all. Without virtues, how can I go home? Through the Word of the Shabad, intuitive peace wells up; without good destiny, the wealth is not obtained. Those whose minds are not filled with the Naam are bound and gagged, and suffer in pain. ||2|| In the above shabad you will notice it says without good fortune we will not be able to obtain the richness and wealth of Naam. Thus, we will not obtain peace in our mind and life. Therefore, we have to patiently and continuously try hard with a daily practice of Naam and Gurbani at Amritvela (2am-6am), in the evening and try to remember Vaheguru all day. At one point the peace will come and so will the experience of Naam.
  19. Only atheists believe it is the end of our human existence. All religions see it as birth. Most important, Sikhi/Gurbani views this world as a temporary illusionary dream, when we die we wake up into reality. However, Christianity, Islam and Hinduism believe in seven heavens and Gurbani states these heavens are under Maya. Buddhism and Sikhi is higher, however Sikhi has come directly from Vaheguru/God, so Sikhi is above Haumai whereas Buddhism is under Haumai. Sikhi/Gurmat is about experience. If you did intense meditation/bhagti on Naam and Gurbani, practice all of Guru Sahib's rehita from Guru Granth Sahib Jee and Guru Gobind Singh Jee then you will obtain spiritual experiences. You will then see the spiritual lokh (world/life). Dasam Granth has stories of meditators who could self-immolate. This is weakness in not accepting God's will. Guru Sahib and Gursikhs accepted God's will and died through being truly martyred or natural death. I do not know who you are referring to when you say Gurdas jee. I know there is a story of a Sikh (not sure what his name is) becoming a bear but that was due to his lack of humility and compassion. In Baba Harnam Singh's (rumpurkhera walay) time, an amritdhari sikh seriously injured his leg and became disabled so one day him and his family went complaining to Bhai Harnam Singh jee at the Gurdwara and Bhai Harnam Singh jee explained that in his previous life he in a fit of anger due to his own reasons broke his dog's leg. In this life he paid for that. However, if he practiced intense meditation on Naam he would have erased this paap. This is what Sikhs these days lack - Bhagti on Naam and Gurbani because if they did they would not doubt Sikhi and would literally experience God/Guru Sahib. We should also practice compassion, humility, tolerance etc. When we enter a new vessel our janams are not remembered we enter this illusion (world). Only when we die again are we aware of our previous lives in the afterlife. Sometimes in dreams people witness a previous birth in an unclear dream without knowing its a previous birth. However, if you want to know your previous births then you need to jap naam. It's actually really easy to experience who we were in our previous lives through Naam. Also, depending on our bhagti, compassion, level of avguns and guns, good deeds and bad deeds etc we are born in particular religions and convert to those religions or become an athiest. Because of devotional worship in my past incarnations, I have been born into this life. The Guru has inspired me to worship the Lord, Har, Har, Har, Har. Worshipping, worshipping Him with devotion, I found the Lord, and then I merged into the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, Har, Har. ||7|| Look how long it takes to experience God ^ By continuously doing bhagti in our lives we come to meet Vaheguru/God. Patience is a big virtue in Sikhi - ਸਤਿ ਸੂਰਉ ਸੀਲਿ ਬਲਵੰਤੁ ਸਤ ਭਾਇ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਘਨ ਗਰੂਅ ਮਤਿ ਨਿਰਵੈਰਿ ਲੀਣਾ ॥ He is the Warrior Hero of Truth, humility is His Power. His Loving Nature inspires the Congregation with deep and profound understanding; He is absorbed in the Lord, free of hate and vengeance. Patience has been His white banner since the beginning of time, planted on the bridge to heaven. The Saints meet their Beloved Guru, who is united with the Creator Lord. Serving the True Guru, they find peace; Guru Amar Daas has given them this ability. ||7|| Sikhi is the True Religion as stated in Guru Granth Sahib Jee, Dasam Granth and Bhai Gurdas Jee's vaaran. As stated by Bhai Gurdas Jee - siqgur nwnk dyau Awpu aupwieAw] sathigur naanak dhaeo aap oupaaeiaa|| God himself created the True Guru Nanak. and siqgur nwnk dyau hY prmysru soeI] sathigur naanak dhaeo hai paramaesar soee|| Guru Nanak is the True Guru and is God Himself. and Guru Gobind Singh Jee states - jwih qhW qY Drmu clwie ] kbuiD krn qy lok htwie ] 29] jaahi thehaa(n) thai dhharam chalaae || kabudhh karan thae lok hattaae || 29|| Go to the world and promote the Dharma (faith of righteousness). And prevent mankind from wrong practices (like wickedness and depravity).(29) Dasam Granth describes all previous avtars and prophets to be full of Haumai and were defeated by Kaal. Therefore, Vaheguru/God sent himself (Guru Nanak) to earth start a True Religion. If you want me to explain in detail how the universe was created just ask.
  20. Have you started wearing a Kirpan recently? In the beginning, the Kirpan only hurts when lying on it, otherwise it should not. I am so used to sleeping in my kirpan that most of the time I'm probably lying on it but can't feel it, it feels comfortable. It could be that you are either sleeping on your kirpan without knowing or you are sleeping in uncomfortable positions. Otherwise, if not, I dont think it has anything to do with the kirpan because you might have weak arms/upper body due to lack of nutrition. You could see a docter about it.
  21. Regardless of how racist USA citizens are, racism happens everywhere. As long as we are far away from God we will always be racist. The problem here is that you see differences because if you followed Guru Sahib’s teachings you will see God in each and every person, so you will only care about pleasing Vaheguru. You have to understand what society calls backward is wrong; keeping hair is the norm and has been in previous yuga (ages). However, in this Dark Age (kalyug) only one leg of dharma stands, as stated in Gurbani, so people do not possess a Bibek Budh (discriminating intellect between bad and good). As Japji Sahib says ‘Compassion is the father of Dharma’, but the first practice in Dharma is keeping hair. The world is misled. There are enough sheep, so why do you need to add to that? The problem here is that you do not understand why we are on earth. When you see this world you see a permanent everlasting world. However, Gursikhs around the world see the world according to Gurbani as being a temporary illusion, a dream. When we die we wake up. Why was this world created? To lead an Atheist life or I “believe in God” life? They are both the same, as many people from Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist etc background claim they believe in God but do not follow their religion. Well according to Gurbani this world, earth, was only created for Dharma to be practiced – ਤਿਸੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਧਰਤੀ ਥਾਪਿ ਰਖੀ ਧਰਮ ਸਾਲ ॥ in the midst of these, He established the earth as a home for Dharma. Therefore, by you removing your hair, you are moving backwards. Dharam should be our priority, everything else such as youth, employment, marriage etc are secondary. The secondary only become of value when we are practicing dharam ie japping Naam. God/Akaal Purakh saw the wrong practices happening in this world, which included the imperfect practices of other religions so he sent Guru Sahib. Here, in Dasam Granth, Guru Gobind Singh Jee writes what Akaal/God ordered Guru Sahib to do - jwih qhW qY Drmu clwie ] kbuiD krn qy lok htwie ] 29] jaahi thehaa(n) thai dhharam chalaae || kabudhh karan thae lok hattaae || 29|| Go to the world and promote the Dharma (faith of righteousness). And prevent mankind from wrong practices (like wickedness and depravity) Gurmat/Sikhi follows practices which are of Truth according to God. So, you should instead be feeling pleased, content and grateful to be on the path of Sikhi. Gurmat in many shabads emphasises on practicing Sikhi in our youth, here is one - ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ਮਿਲੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਹੈ ਏਹ ॥ Listen, O my mind, my friend, my darling: now is the time to meet the Lord. As long as there is youth and breath, give this body to Him. Without virtue, it is useless; the body shall crumble into a pile of dust. O my mind, earn the profit, before you return home. The Gurmukh praises the Naam, and the fire of egotism is extinguished. ||1||Pause|| At the time of the Moghul rule in India, the Sikh religion was new and a minority but which slowly grew and increased in number whereas the majority were Hindu and Muslim. Sikhs were clearly different from Muslims and Hindus but still they kept their identity because there identity is a part of Truth, the other is Gur-Shabad (Vaheguru mantar). To keep their dharma, they accepted torture and death instead of accepting an Islamic life for what you stated - ‘you wouldn't have to deal with such an unsupportive environment as a child, and you could grow up without the same emotional scars. You could develop personality, get married, etc’ Muslims offered the Sikhs many women to marry and false personalities. The best personality is Guru Gobind Singh Jee and his Gursikhs such as Baba Deep Singh, Banda Singh Bahadur, Bhai Taru Singh, Bhai Mani Singh, Baba Harnam Singh, Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh, Sant Jarnail Singh, Shaheed Raghbir Singh, Shaheed Anokh Singh etc. What personality do you wish to develop adopting a manmukhi lifestyle? Our intellects are low enough but why degrade it further as people are already doing. We should want to elevate it. Gurbani states by continuously singing Vaheguru’s (Gods) Gunns (qualities) and doing Naam Abhiyaas we are filled with his same qualities such as Truth, Compassion, Heroism, Peace, Fearlessness, Love, Beauty, Contentment, Sweet Speech, Leadership, Strength, Man of his word, Power and many more. Only by following Guru Sahib’s Hukams (rehita) are we blessed with such a great personality - ਮਾਨੈ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਸਭੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਿਆਨ ॥ Accepting the Hukam of the Lord's Command, he is blessed with all virtues and spiritual wisdom. You need to keep sangat of Gursikhs, so you need to go to Kirtan events such as Ransabayee Kirtan which the Jatha Akhand Kirtani Jatha holds. You will find a lot of young Singhs with beautiful dastars and a flowing beard. Here is the link of their programs - http://www.akj.org/s...php?countryid=5 ਜੋ ਪਰਾਇਓ ਸੋਈ ਅਪਨਾ ॥ That which belongs to another - he claims as his own. That which he must abandon - to that, his mind is attracted. Tell me, how can he meet the Lord of the World? That which is forbidden - with that, he is in love. That which is false - he deems as true. That which is true - his mind is not attached to that at all. He takes the crooked path of the unrighteous way; leaving the straight and narrow path, he weaves his way backwards. God is the Lord and Master of both worlds. He, whom the Lord unites with Himself, O Nanak, is liberated. ||4||29||98||

    Dnt Know Wt 2 Do

Do you have good sangat/friends into sikhi who are compassionate/inspiring and you can keep company of? If not, I can send you my sister's email address as she is young too, and really religious, compassionate and helpful. Good Sangat really does help, as it takes your mind away from negativity and it makes it more strong-minded and content. I could tell you to do Naam and Bani - to keep a strict Amritvela abhiyaas of Naam (vaheguur)/Bani (japji sahib) and to do the same in the evening but in the beginning stages for most people good sangat helps us move forward fast, instead of being alone on this journey and moving in minor ineffective steps especially if one is depressed.

    Few Questions

No one is angry here. Guru Sahib compassionately gives a lot of people partekh darshan. To get jyot darshan is rare. The spiritual state is not one level, it is many, the higher the more knowledge we have. I wont be saying anything more. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

    Few Questions

Forgive me for knowing and understanding the greatness of Guru Nanak and Guru sahib's humility, which you clearly do not understand. You and many others do not understand how humble Guru Sahib is. I feel sorry for you and others who I have encountered with the same mat as yours who do not understand Guru Sahib's greatness. If a Gurmukh has come to you from Saachkhand and told you different then please tell me? btw, if you think Saachkhand is not a realm then you are sadly mistaken because me and many others have seen Saachkhand and it is a Palace/Gurdwara outside of the universes but at the same time everything is within it - this is what you do not understand.
