How and why do you respect an artists impression?! Sorry but thats ridiculous. That artist couldve painted anybodyyy, sold it off as a portrait of Guru Sahib and then it ends up being worshiped and respected.I dont see why you need a painting done by any old 'artist' to help you focus. Why not have Gurbani calligraphy to help you focus? Moorat could be in form of an image, a photograph, a painting, a statue even. Guru Maharaaj clearly says 'man meh dhiaan', not to physically have an image to aid your focus coz we're so weak that we need a false representation of Guru Sahib made up by some artist to help us.

I don't see the point. Just suffocates everyone. And all those chemicals cant be good. Rose water if we really have to but even then i don't see why beautiful roses should be killed just for a little smell. Would we kill a peacock just for his feathers? I wouldn't anyways, nor would i buy or use cut flowers. Planted flowers look a lot more appealing in my opinion Pul chuk muaf ji

Dr Sukhpreet Singh Udhoke talks about what colour the Nishan Sahib historically was and how over time it has changed. In the time of the 3rd Guru, Guru Amar Das Ji, the Nishan Sahib was the colour white. This was to represent peace & purity (shantee). Then in Guru Hargobind Ji's time the Nishan Sahib was changed to a shade of yellow called Basanti. In Guru Gobind Singh Ji's time the NIshan Sahib was of the colour navy blue. At the time of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and Khalsa Raj the Nishan Sahib placed in Delhi was blue. However, the Dogray asked Maharaja Ranjit Singh to add the photo of their mata to the Nishan Sahib and change the colour to orange. He changed the colour, however, he did not add the picture of their mata. But Akali Phoola Singh said he would keep the blue Nishan Sahib. Therfore, the Nihang Singh's have kept a navy blue Nishan Sahib as it was the colour instilled by Guru Gobind Singh. The orange (kesri) is not our colour. In the REHAT MARYADA there are 2 acceptable colours of blue and yellow (basanti)

Yes they have it wrong. Kesri colour is brahmanical doings. Nothing to do with Sikhi. Should be Basanti Lehar. But its just a colour for the campaign...irrelevant really could've been pink lehar. The Nishaan Sahib on the other hand colour and all has significance. I dont know why its Basanti but thats how it was and should be. Pul chuk muaf ji
