Just messing around brother, Umm to me I think the Khalsa centre could be a good venue but by the looks of it most of the Guru Khar you aint even heard of let alone you live in SE area, Im not from that area so I dont have a clue. I imagine you got that list from BOSS that's where I looked.

So I think its going to be out of Khalsa Centre or Ramgarhia Sikh Assoc SE18.

Also if you wish to distribute and help give out leaftets and are located in the NORTH or SOUTH area please give me a shout, as the seva will be required in Jan 2009 - 2.5 hours every sunday for 2 sundays = 5 hours come on ppls.

basically need some info, as some talks and events will are in the processing of being organised. we need to know which Guru Ghar are the mains ones.

The north, east, west is sorted im having some difficulties in tracking down a main Guru Khar in the south prefer a SE/SW postcode. I have managed to find Khalsa Centre (post code: SW17).

However Im aware that there are some users who are from far south london areas, hopefully you could help.

By main guru khar i mean:

> most have alot of regular sangat comapred to other guru khar in the area

> must have some youth attendance, as the talks will be aimed at the youth mostly

> should have sangat from a wide area

Hopefull you get my drift if, not plese ask.

Theres also another case in Slough of a Slough Borough Council member, who was having an affair with another member of staff and someone else was also trying it with her, and they was going take the council to court over it. Cant find the link, if anyone does .... well done.

There was a case in Slough where a again another S*A*, was branded “Sikh” by the media, helped her ‘boyfriend’ escape a Muslim had murdered a young white male in front of their young wife and 2 year old son.

The copper was based at Slough, but was from Hounslow (West London)

I can't believe a Sikh Society in London has decided to do a play with jokes, bhangra, love story, etc with the core theme of 1984. Its really sad to see sikh students don't seem to realise the sensitivity around the sikh genocide period of 1984. During the years after Bhai Fauja Singh saheedi there was not one mela or anything of the sort due to the atmosphere in Panjab. Is this going to become another "Bezti" play feasco?

Also the poster is just disrespect with a situate of a women dancing in front of Darbar Sahib. Is this a UCL play or all London Sikh Societies?

As many of news readers, new watchers & radio listeners within the UK especially will of heard of “storm” caused by the media in regards to the indian actress shilpa shetty and big brother, I do feel how the house mates address shilpa sometimes is wrong however lets not side track this thread into a big brother debate.

The main point I wanted to address is, as some of us will know how Paramjeet Singh(who has been a Wolverhampton resident for 40 years), Amolak Singh and Jasvinder Singh are being held in a maximum security jail in Nabha (India), this is nothing new as Sikhs especially those in India have suffered this day in day out, as well other international Sikhs such as the recent case of Balbir Singh Khalsa who was set up fake charges and acquitted and still remained imprisoned.

Im aware that issue has APPRANTLY been raised with The Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown and various other MPS. Yet Gordon Brown has made numerous tv appearances etc and has FAILED THE SIKHS AGAIN like TONY BLAIR in not even TRYING TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE. This was the same case after the 7/7 bombings, again and again we have been failed by this government on various issues and will continue to do so. When will we learn, is there a solution for this. Please don’t turn this in a thread about Big brother, shilpa shetty or other irrelevant issues.

I still live in an area filled with muslims and few "Sikhs" , it dont mean I let them pi** on me or Sikhi . You shouldnt move, you should stay there combat views etc do whats necessary it will only make you stronger. Hope all is well now.

Yeah your right, Im sure theres loads of people on this forum who have recieved or still recieve emails like that, theres lots of members on here who know what they are like. But hey credit where its due at least they make them aware of bollywood is doing. They affect the Sikhs even more with protraying them as "clowns" etc using Dharmik Lines etc mixed up with other RSS etc material like the bollywood spin of film "Bole So Nihal".
