  1. i dont know what fulaadi loha is we are talking about wootz, if there was someone who could make real wootz he would be world wide recognized because hundreds are ppl are experimenting to figure out the secret to wootz.. you should encourage the ppl you know to step up and share there knowledge.
  2. ok thank you but friend the burden of proof is on you to prove it can be made today. Not mine for proving real wootz can not be made today. So far you haven't proven anything.
  3. If you believe this guy good for you i am tired of trying to argue with you... if you dont like my stuff please ask him to make your kirpans. I do not want to continue this discussion. We have side tract away from my original post asking ppl what they think of my kirpans.
  4. Man how many times do i have to tell you that is not real wootz he is making it is pattern welding modern damascus. anyone can make a claim it it does make it so. i can say i defecate gold but are u really going to take my word for it. also the process in which he is using is used by not just him... this guy is nothing special. child's play. I am starting to sound like a broken record do some actual research..... wootz is a lost art. Its dead ppl waiting to this day to be rediscovered.
  5. no sir you are wrong there is no one making real wootz
  6. i don't have to prove it do some research no one knows how wootz is made. Ppl are attempting to figure it out but no one has as of today. Anyone who knows anything about metallurgy will give you this answer. even Wikipedia says its a lost art.
  7. I understand what your saying but trust me it is a dead art. No one has rediscovered it. I doubt me experimenting am going to discover it. what we are using is a good standard Damascus steel. ppl calming real wootz=dishonest... ppl calming sarbloh= dishonest.
  8. Thank you for the kind words, if you have any ideas for the sheaths let me know. the only other thing i can think of is laser etching a pattern on the kydex but that would bring up the cost. i could do it but would cost more.
  9. yes but generally this is accepted as modern Damascus Real wootz can not be made today because it is a lost art. Only way is to buy antique shastars. anyone calming so is a loser because he just wants your money.
  10. this is not ture wootz can not be replicated today lost art. anyone calming so is scamming you. only way to get real wootz is to buy antique kirpans.
  11. there is no one making real wootz steel... trust me . anyone who clams this is dishonest and not trustworthy. i just look at your link it is modern wootz... the same stuff my kirpans are made of. wootz steel is a lost art. cant be done. the only way you can get wootz is to buy antique kirpans what were made back then.
  12. Also please enlighten me on what sarbloh is which i mean give me combinations of metals... Because anyone who claims to be the only one selling sarbloh shastars must be lying.... there is no set standard. From all my research i can not find a standard. everyone is just winging it and calling it sarbloh... which i believe is dishonest. To me sarbloh was the most modern steel available during those times and thats why it is favored. So i believe we should use the most modern and best metals in our shastars available.
  13. Yes i know about real wootz.... It is lost and cant be replicated. Generally what modern damascus is a high carbon steel like 1095 with welded with lets say about 15n20 nickel . is one combination. these kirpans dont have vandium... No one knows how wootz is made lost art. No one can agree on what defines Damascus even modern Damascus. That being said modern damascus is nothing to mock either it has lots of benefits and it makes great blades.
  14. I am not familiar with russian wootz , but nothing we can make today will be even close to real damascus/wootz. These kirpans are made of what is called modern Damascus or wootz.. You take a high carbon steel and weld it with another metal like iron nickel chromium.... this cause a layering effect and you can see the grain which is what you see in the Damascus. these have raindrop pattern and ladder pattern.
  15. Wahe guru ji ka khalsa wheguru ji ke fathe, Just wanted the members of this site to give me there opinions, on the kirpans . I am trying to make an affordable usable and beautiful kirpan for everyday carry. Yes the design is very similar to a popular produced kirpan, honestly he got it right on the design but not on the price.Hand made Damascus/ wootz 1095 carbon steel with 15n20 nickel about 180 layers. The picture with 3 kirpans are made from a single billet and are cut and shaped accordingly. the other two are made of the same material but the handles are pinned and are not one piece of steal. Both blades should be really strong was just figuring out the best way to making them. This is still in the early stages. Will be torture testing these kirpans to make sure they are battle ready weapons. I still not sure about the sheath. I am working on kydex sheaths now still in design phase. But i am hoping to offer these kirpans for $150-180 dollars usa. I am also working on a economical version at about $90 us dollars. Not really a business for me its more of a hobby and side-project. All version will come with kirpan and sheath. Well i am eagar to read your comments. Wahe guru ji ka khalsa wheguru ji ke fathe
  16. Never really posted , but stumbled upon this thread. Was wondering what you guys think of these kirpans in modern Damascus. $180 us dollars. these are still proto types. Working on a kydex sheath for them trying to keep a mostly traditional look.. This is still in the early stage. https://plus.google.com/photos/115515896798523587071/albums/5839932885062877697?authkey=CPLM3Y3M2q6abw
