my personal views are that it shouldnt really matter with the age as long as both are happy and they are not being forced to tie the knot.

Yesterday a meeting was held by eldery sangat of Dudley administered by the 5 member management commitee which it was agreed that the party hall owned by the Gurdwara would be extended to attract more wedding parties and that the sangats money could be used to pay for it. It was also suggested that the gurdwara could be used as a security for any loan for the extension. if the sangat has decided this can we do anything to stop it other than stop putting money in the golak??

well why aren't I surprised that the "commitee members" agreed for a party hall, the commitee have become a joke to me too now, they dont do anything for Guru Ji, you really reckon the maya that is gathered currently is spent on Guru Ghar? I very muvh doubt it, half the Maya commitee members eat up themselves, Sangat shouldnt stop putting money in the golak, the Sangat need to be informed of whats going on with the Guru Ghar maya? Has any one tol thsi decision to the Saadh Sangat ? Dont no one care?

well i was getting ready for working the other day an decided to wear all black so black trousers and black jumper (ur normal short black polo neck jumper) and i went gurghar before work and did my matha tekh and gurdwara was quite packed so i sat right at the front so i could quickly sit down...........ne ways after about an hour of listening to some excellent vichaar and shabd kirtan i got up to go and two ladies got up with me.........i just kinda went about my business and went down to the langer hall and nocticed them looking at me and pointing whilst shaking their heads............so i was thinking "wooooooooooooot man, hun meh ki kittah?" so i sat down to eat langar with my back facin the aunites and my back to where the mens part of the langar hall was and then both aunties came running up to me and sed "puth tera sara kachera pichhuh dis dah ya.......iddah sohna nain lagdah puth koi sharam tah kareah kar"

so basically the entire sangat upstairs in darbaar sahib and langar hall had a lovely view of my kashera man............i was so embarrased i felt like crying man i quickly wen to loos and erm........"correcting my kashera and havent been able to face going back to gurdwara since.........i go when there no sangat there.................talk about toe curling embarrasment.............. :lol:

haha, I was in Punjab and i had washed my Kashera put it on the line to dry for my Ishnaan following morning. I got up in the morning getting ready for Ishnaan, and going towards the line to get my Kashera, and find it isnt there, so I asked my bro where's my Kashera I had it on the line and he like ohh was that yours? lols...so I got the point whos wearing my Kashera...lol

The other day I was at Gurdwara taking a Vaja up the stairs and i tripped up the stairs and fell and everyone was like are u ok but i was woried more about the vaja because the top bit fell off and everyone was stareing at me lol

it wasn't embarrassing its just that a made a fool of myself as usual lol

o once a giani told me to bring his vaja to him it woz new aswell so i went to pick it up taking it to him and sum lil kid cum in my way and BANG it fell right out my handss god my face went redddd every one jus stoped and looked at me the vaja opened in to two peaces the giani face woz like my new vaja :wub: @ the poor vaja the giani woz like hai hai mera vaja im like oooopzzz parji sooo sowwie hes like dnt worryyy :wub: thats woz soo embarrassing never have i from then picked up a vaja :wub:

haha, this reminds me of when i was being a hero as a teenager and i decided to help the gyani pick up the vaja, and tabla bag along with the shehneh, he told me to put it in his van that was parked outside.

Now outside there were two vans, and i put it in the wrong van, which some bibi drove off with the gyanis vaja, tabla and shehneh, when the gyani come out he shuted at me soo bad when he found out that i put it in the wrong van. I found it well embarassing. he knew my rents as well so off he went to complain to my dad, and that day did i get shihthar from my dad or wat ??

How many of you deal with people everyday at work who all they talk about is girls, drugs, and liquor. I just want to do my job, and not listen to their talks..

I dont really see it happening much at my workplace but im afraid to say I hear it more at guru ghar, and I'm going to have to sayts the same old people, the bibiyaan talking while preparing guru ka langar and the men talking sitting at one place (usually the comitte members) I do find it annoying too, if I try to explain to them they take me wrong, so I just end up sitting in one spot minding my own business, it is hard at times but it has to be done !

I went india recently the onli reason why some people stare is coz they know your from England or you are from somewhere out of India.

My advice is of course you should go, Go see the inspirational and real beautiful places of our Sikh Itihaas. You'll love it.
