Practicing forgiveness will help a lot.. That is how we will find peace.. Stress, some pain from past and bad memories are the root causes of cancer is most of the cases.. Letting go and living in the moment will heal all.. WAHEGURU

So true.. sarab rog ka aukad Naam..
  4. Yes Inder veer ji..I was thinking the same.. it is pretty decent and interesting for most of the women..
  5. Veer ji I have contributed.. you can't simply see it as we have different perpectives.. it is totally fine to discuss about the main issue but it seems many are making fun of someone's character.. Veer ji..as a part of Sikh Sangat, I don't wish to see any strong word such as hatred on this forum.. We simply shared our thoughts like you did.. and yes veer ji..you have more knowledge than I do.. Please go ahead veer ji and give helpful advice.. that is our goal anyway ? Veer ji..I didn't mean to cleverly frame anyone..I wasn't helpful enough I guess..but you can be..so go ahead.. Still I apologize for what it looks like to you.. Sangat ji..maaf kareyo..all I wanted was to give my honest opinion on different types of profession..rather than going too deep into someone's life to decide someone's character and personality..
  6. It is quite upsetting to see how people label women as Gossip Girls and Drama Queens these days... Guru Nanak Dev ji taught us so much about respecting women... with beautiful quotes.. and women had similar issues that time as well.. But just to make life easier, we ignore to solve the problems and blame women for sharing their dukh sukh..
  7. When I saw that..I felt like writing the same as it seems the topic about figuring out partner's profession has changed to figuring out partner's flaws..sad to see that..
  8. Hmm.. yaa.. Office related job sounds respectful but lots of things happen in Offices too... Trust is the main key here...
  9. Well said.. Guru is our guide..
  10. You have a beautiful soul.. Being vegetarian, honest and treating everyone equally is not easy these days.. you are doing great.. Yes, Kaam (lust) in one of the 5 vices and Many of us are doing it these days... but not many are aware of it... Waheguru ji love their children.. you are trying to be a better human.. It is Waheguru's Kirpa that you have realized what is wrong and right... it is Waheguru's kirpa that you feel bad about certain things and it is Waheguru's kirpa that you want to be better human Please don't go so much into your past.. Enjoy your present...No more regrets and only a grateful heart with Guru's Kirpa..
  11. Wow... What a beautiful reply Dashmesh Nihang Ji.. I just finished reading the story of Ajamila... really interesting .. Thank you
  12. Sat Sri Akal veer ji.. It is nice that you want your partner to be in independent and financially stable.. I am pretty sure she can get a decent office job with her BA degree... if not Managerial, at least Admin, Secretarial.. Hairstyle and cosmetics.. I would say 90% of the women like this stuff.. but having passion for this kind of stuff is not that helpful for a better career.. I am not here to criticize any profession but I feel she will have higher changes of growth (financially and confidence wise) if she gets into Office related jobs.. You know there are lot of other good options such as being a good tailor, a good tutor(work from home) You are not going to spoil her in any way if you want her to do something on her own...It depends what kind of sangat we have around us..what we watch, read and many other factors for us to become a better person or worst.. I understand your concern about salon job.. You know the place around you and how it could effect you and your family.. So please choose wisely...and I would not vote for Salon job.. Your mind knows the right answer Listen to it..
  13. Such a beautiful experience.. thanks for sharing.. When I was young, I used to read Sukhmani Sahib.. My mom used to tell me..Sukhmani Sahib is the key to all Sukhs.. and I had full faith in it..I used to do it for my studies... I was and I am little selfish , always asking somthing for these materialstic life but I can only ask my Wahgeuru for these things... One day, my Nana ji got really sick and was admitted in the hospital, ICU.. He had a heart attack.... We got a call from my Mama ji and we were really upset.. My mom was crying but at that moment, I left from there and went to my room to do Sukhmani Sahib. I was scared too but I finished my Sukhmani Sahib Paath. Rigth after that, I went to see my mom, Mom was happy and told me that Nana ji was doing much better and spoke with mom on the phone as well... Next day, we went to see Nana ji, he was doing good..few days later, we went out with Nana ji to some market, Gurudwara and had good time.. Waheguru dee mehar naal Tumhey Chod koi aur na Dhyaouu..Jo bar chaou so tum tey Paouu... sorry for the spelling mistakes Sangat Ji... Waheguru
  14. Well said paaji.. Being in the present is like talking with GOD... Praising GOD I really like your point about humans interaction with no attention or other intention.. It is true, we don't feel the connection then... This trap of future and Past is never ending.. Once we are living in this very moment, we find peace.. I learn so much from Bhai Satpal Singh ji's videos.. He is doing an amazing job.. I got very helpful answers and my doubts are clear.. I have learned a lot about being present and connecting with Waheguru.. THANKS A LOT SANGAT JI
  15. That is so true...Humans are living mostly in past or future.. Nature brings us back to Present

    THOUGHTS

Guru Maharaj is loving and full of compassion.. Waheguru doesn't punish anyone.. it is people like me who are so lost in Maya..and then we cry once we receive what we have sowed.. With Naam only..it will get better.. You are so grateful and this is the best way to live life
  17. Hmm.. how does that answer my question veer ji? I am happy with a dog and birds around... lol.. Sat Sri Akal to Hyena from miles away...hahaha
  18. I appreciate your reply sangat ji.. I used to explain that I love nature.. Birds, animals and plants are the part of that nature... but they didn't accept it as a logical reply.. It seems they have pity for me because I am unable to get to their level to understand their perspective.. I got that msg indirectly several times to the point that I actually started having doubts about my values... I understand if I get too attached to nature, animals, etc.. then it is like maya..but I am not doing that 24/7..lol.. I simply appreciate it and enjoy my time more when I am playing with dog.. watching birds and plants... I just wanted to make it clear with Sangat's feedback that is this really wrong or normal.... because I have many flaws and trying to improve myself slowly.. and don't want to add more flaws.. Thank you for your reply..
  19. I guess.. They are adorable... All they want is some love
  20. Thanks a lot veer ji.. Yes that is what I used to think.. Guru Gobind singh ji had his baaz .. Talking about oneness, we are all connected.. So how can we say one form is lower and other is higher.. Of course I am not with my dog 24 hrs per day.. I go to work.. I do all the required tasks at home and in between I spend some time on things that I enjoy Thanks a lot for the beautiful lines at the end.. Hasandhia Khaelandhia Painandhia Khaavandhia Vichae Hovai Mukath Waheguru Mehar Karey
  21. Sat Sri Akal Sangat ji, I would like to discuss about something that was kind of bothering me from long time.. When I was young, I used to spend time with my Naani ji, she was always into watering and keeping food for birds.. She used to live in a pind so they had buffaloes, cows at home. She was always making sure all those animals were comfortable.. in Winter she used to put a nice bonfire around them and all.. I started liking it and doing with her.. My naani ji passed away but passed away but I still visit that pind to feel her presence.. Anyway.. coming to the present.. I love birds... I keep food for them, watch them chirping, eating and it make me smile.. Last year, me and my husband ( who is also in love with animals) got a dog and we love that addition to our family.. Now, my question is ...is it okay to love animals and birds?? My mother in law doesn't really like it that I get excited for dogs and birds.. other family members also agree with her. I love watching birds, playing with dog and loving them... I kind of argue with them... animals can't even talk and tell us their pain/hunger.. If not a lot, atleast I can do this little for them.. Then I ask her why she doesn't like it.. She said if we will have love for these animals and birds, we are going lower than this human form... I didn't really understand.. Then she explained in details to me '' we are here as humans to love God who is the higher form and if you spend so much of your time with animals and creatures then you won't have enough time for God... and that will put you down...you will go lower...coz animals are lower than humans'' But my really concern is.. is that true about loving animals? Now every time I play with my dog, she comments'' oh you had good time with your friend'' and other funny things she would say to make me feel wrong.. I get lost and wonder if she is right or it is okay to have some love for birds/animals because I always believed that are also part of Waheguru.. Please Sangat ji...give me your feedback.. WAHEGURU
