as the second poster said it all about Shardha. more the sharda more you stay careful and care about tiny things because a shardawan really cares. i remember a friend was who had to do guru maharaj's seva and he took shower and realized that the shower gel he used contained alcohol. It is pretty serious when u think that you are going to do seva and u just took an alcoholic shower. but at the same time most of the folks would say there is no need to worry as it just a chemical. So I am not trying to prove anyone right ot wrong but it is all about your pyaar shardha and how far u can go when it comes to guru sahib ji's seva.

I am sorry for being ignorant and not having much knowledge about sikh political history. I am just wondering what Sarbat Khalsa means? Sounds like it will be a gathering of Khalsa but who will lead it? whose decision will be final decision? How it will be possible to appoint new jathedars of all Takhts and who will approve it? What kind of problems could BADAL create ? what kind of law or rule apply in this kind of situation? Also who will be a suitable replacement for Akal Takht Jathedar? I guess Ex Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh ji also very curious about Jathedar of Sri Hazur Sahib?? I knw that the Jathedar of Sri Hazur Sahib id not directly involved in decision of 5 jathedars but some of his representative does take part in decision making process. Please share your viwes/answers

A friend of mine who belongs to a punjabi family and is a US citizen is planning to get married in UK with a British citizen. What is the procedure of legal and gurdwara wedding over there in UK? I heard some kind of permission both fiancées have to obtain from registry office... How long does he have to be there for this process prior to actual gurdwara ( anand karaj) ceremony? Please advice.

Gurbani tells us to be kind to all beings. But when insects like flies mosquitoes, spiders and other insects bothers you while you are eating like flies buzzing around ur food. Is it ok to kill them? I know kinda stupid question but I have been killing flies and when they are half dead they feel too much pain probably and I then try to kill them instantly. This makes me feel sad. But should a Singh be scared or thinking too much about killing a fly? But isn't it like killing an elephant or a fly is same thing? I am so confused.
