    Waheguru.

A mahan Brahmgyani. Dhan Dhan Sant Baba Sham Singh Ji. Thank you for compiling that beautiful article. I have another photograph of Santji that I will try to find and post here.

Below is a small incident from Mahapursh's life that I had written a few years ago.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Sant Baba Shaam Singh Ji was a beautiful Sikh of Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj who dedicated his life to seva. For over 70 years Sant Baba Shaam Singh Ji was blessed with kirtan seva at Sackhand Sri Darbar Sahib. Every morning as Sant Ji made his way to the house of Dhan Dhan Satguru Sri Guru Raam Das Ji Maharaj he would lead the sangat in singing:

This Shabad is by Bhagat Kabeer Ji in Raag Bilaaval on Ang 856

    bilaaval ||

    Bilaaval:

    dharamaadhae t(h)aadtae dharabaar ||

I stand humbly at Your Court.

thujh bin surath karai ko maeree dharasan dheejai kholih kivaar ||1|| rehaao ||

Who else can take care of me, other than You? Please open Your door, and grant me the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. ||1||Pause||

thum dhhan dhhanee oudhaar thiaagee sravananh suneeath sujas thumhaar ||

You are the richest of the rich, generous and unattached. With my ears, I listen to Your Praises.

maago kaahi ra(n)k sabh dhaekho thumh hee thae maero nisathaar ||1||

From whom should I beg? I see that all are beggars. My salvation comes only from You. ||1||

jaidhaeo naamaa bip sudhaamaa thin ko kirapaa bhee hai apaar ||

You blessed Jai Dayv, Naam Dayv and Sudaamaa the Brahmin with Your infinite mercy.

kehi kabeer thum sa(n)mrathh dhaathae chaar padhaarathh dhaeth n baar ||2||7||

Says Kabeer, You are the All-powerful Lord, the Great Giver; in an instant, You bestow the four great blessings. ||2||7||

One time as Mahapursh was walking towards Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib at amritwela he noticed that one of the shops which sold badam milk was left unattended. As Sant Ji proceeded he saw that the shopkeeper was sleeping on the floor. Beside him there was a large tub which was filled to the top with used cups.

Sant Ji immediately went over to the tub and while continuing with his Naam Simran began to wash the dirty cups. As Mahapursh made his way through the cups the shopkeeper woke up to the beautiful sound of Guru Sahibs kirtan. The shopkeeper looked around and instantly recognised Sant Ji as Mahapursh used to make this journey every day. The shopkeeper reached for Sant Jis feet and with tears in his eyes asked Mahapursh why a bramhgyani, a kirtani of Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj was washing dirty cups.

Mahapursh smiled and said, Gurmukho, what else is this body for? I do an ardas to Maharaj to bless me with such seva.

May Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj bless all his beloved Sikhs with such an outlook.

    please do share the photo?

  2. Vaheguru stop this missionary bakvaas on Sikh Sangat just close the threads when someone does shanka because they arent the sort of people to listen to daleels, it will just confuse the general sangat. basic point what would you rather do put a pic of a model in your child or guru sahib or shaheed? do you put pictures of your fmaily on wall? if so? why? to remember them. same way maybe by seing a photo of guru sahib someone will remember them, a bad thought or situation will finish. just seriously get a life and stop doing shankey on everything.

  3. Theres no point in wasting your time with naastiks like dilgeer, we've been countering their stuff for a while. its the limit when they start questioning gur sahibs name - just go on khalsa news or something and see that even within misssionaries they fight at each other one is saying why do we use guru with guru sahibs name guru is only vaheguru.. then another missionary says thats stupid but we shouldnt use dev or daas wit guru jees name. at the end they will eat at each other..

dhunda lot hates ragi darshan singh

    ragi darshan lot hates dhunda

watch the tamasha..and if people are seriously even questioning guru sahibs name then they deserve to rot in the pit of hell.

    Heres the article.

just to repeat our stance anyone is welcome to follow whatever they wish. the calendar is just an attempt to show what the dates have been for the past three centuries - we see the reformed calendar as only re-enforcing the original bikrami so it is a positive move to towards the restoration of truth :)

  5. Please take no offense from my post as I am against modernist who wanted to change old calendar. However, it still puzzles me that nit only missionaries cult are not following calendar but also some panthic jathay are not following em. Akal takht is higher than everyone. Can you please post the differences between akal takht calendar and above posted calendar? Are their any date difference in major events such as gurpurabs ?

in regards to the above there should be a detailed write up in the next few days.. but to show you the differences between the new calendar that you guys are talking about above i have attached gurpurbs according to latest sgpc dates and then our bikrami ones. there is difference please have a look yourself..

  6. Rakharh punniya because it is celebrated as a jorh mela within nihang singh jathebandheeyaaa

holi to differentiate that holi and holla mahalla are different dates

and lohri because it marks the coldest day of winter - not a religious or hindu thing just a seasonal date. hope that sheds some light to why these were included.

and dussehra because that it also celebrated in nihang dals and takth hazur sahib and always has been verified by

Bansavalinama written in 1769 CE by Kesar Singh Chibber also mentions the celebrating of Dusshera. Kesar Singh Ji writes:

On the days of Dusshera, worship your weapons. From your mouths you should recite the ballads of Chandi [Chandi Chritars and Di Vaar].

[Worship your weapons by using] lots of Incense, Gee-lamps, flowers and nice fragrances. [use] Saffron, Sandalwood and a Wisk to wave [above your weapons].

but dont get to caught up on it please.

  7. Basically this is the bikrami calendar that was around before all the dates were changed with the intervention of purewal etc.. in regards to your question this is not the same as the calendar of sgpc which can befound online also (new nanaksahee) although many of the dates are the same but some are different. it is based on puratan dates in bikrami

so we took bikrami dates and just found the matching date on Gregorian calendar

so for first five guru sahiban dates in bikrami are below (janam, jothi joth, gurgaddi) and we have given matching english dates

Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jee Kathak Sudhi Poornmashee Asoo vadhee dasmee -

Sri Guru Angad Dev Jee Vaisakh Sudhee Ekam Chethar Sudi Chauth Asoo Vadhee Panchmee

Sri Guru Amardas Jee Vaisakh Sudi Chaudas Bhadron Sudhee Pooranmashee Cheth Sudee Ekam

Sri Guru Raamdaas Sahib Jee Kathak Vadhee Dooj Bhadron Sudhee theej Bhadron Sudhee 13

Sri Guru Arjan Dev Jee Vaisakh Vadhee Saptmee Jeth Sudhee Chauth Bhadron Sudhee Dooj
