  1. Issues important to rural folks? Issues such as obtaining alcohol, selling their religion for drugs and nice motorcycles where they can write "Putt Jattan Da" on the back? Fantastic. Not sure why you're suggesting I'm a supporter of Congress. I have asked my family and friends in Punjab to support Simranjit Singh Mann for years now.
  2. The Badal family, which has destroyed Punjab over the course of 5 decades now, has relied heavily on the "pendu" vote. But he's one of us! He's a farmer! Let's vote for him! Yes, let's just completely ignore the fact that he's a mass murderer, anti-Sikh, and does not believe in God. I have no faith in the jats of Punjab in their current state.

  6. May Waheguru forgive me but I must say the following. This caste has historically discriminated against "OBC". These people turned our Gurdwara's into places of discrimination. The actions of the members of this caste has proven that these people are truly OBC themselves.

Read this shabad and then re-think your stance Gurmukho. Pay particular attention to the lines which I have bolded.   8. When everything is in God's hand why do we worry about such little things? If I'm going to get extremely ill from food, it's going to happen regardless of whether I ate some bad langar or not. Also, the only people who should be complaining about this matter are those that keep Bibek rehat (only eat from food put together by an Amritdhari). For those that don't follow Sikh rehat, who cares? Man does not hesitate to regularly consume alcohol or eat meat yet we're worried about some dirt being in our sabji? We need to stop worrying about these little things.
  9. Yes. Those born in Sikh families who choose to arbitrarily follow the Guru's word are not Sikhs. Let's follow the Guru's words until April 1699....and then choose to ignore everything!

  14. Great post Singh Ji. But I will say that our panth can learn a lot from Namdharis. They have mastered the art of kirtan. The majority of our ragis don't have anywhere near the kirtan discipline that these people have.
  15. Thanks Singh Ji for this response. Unfortunately, this is not surprising. This just causes more questions amongst Sikh youth who are keen to join the righteous path but have to question differences such as these. May Waheguru bring the entire panth together.
  16. Waheguru exists in every being; however, only through Waheguru's will are some able to reach the spiritual stages. This is why a Sikh treats all beings with the utmost respect. I'm just curious as to the reason the Singh and Singhni are asked to stand under Rehat Maryada.

  18. Gur Fateh Ji, Could some high avasthi gursikh please explain the reason Sikh Rehat Maryada requires the Singh and Singhni to stand during the reciting of lava by the Granthi Singh Ji? Perhaps more importantly, why is this not strictly enforced by Gurdwara Sahibs in Punjab? Punjabi Sikhs tend to blame Western Sikhs for issues such as the marriage of Sikhs with non-Sikhs but when I brought this issue forward with a Gursikh in Punjab he said it was not required to stand during the recitation of lava and claimed that I was looking at either an altered copy of the Rehat Maryada or it has been "mistranslated" into English. Note that section IV, Article XVIII clearly states the following: After the conclusion of the recitation of each of the stanzas, the boy, followed by the girl holding the end of the sash, should go round the Guru Granth Sahib while the ragis or the congregation sing out the recited stanza. The boy and girl, after every circumambulation, should bow before the Guru Granth Sahib in genuflexion, lowering their forehead to touch the ground and then stand up to listen to the recitation of the next stanza.   19. Brother, Sikhi will never die! Mir Mannu, Zakriya, Indra, Badal, etc. have all tried to eliminate Sikhism. It will never happen brother. These actions in these videos are deplorable but they are happening under Waheguru's will. These people are not Sikhs.

  21. Gur Fateh Ji, I apologize if I offend anyone in this post but I find this practice quite irritating. Could someone please explain the ritual behind throwing flowers on Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji? I understand that those who favor this deem it a sign of respect. However we as Sikhs are to respect all of Wahegurus beings. How does Waheguru feel about humans plucking flowers? I think most of us have heard the sakhi of young Sri Guru Har Rai Ji accidentally plucking a flower while going for a walk with grandfather Sri Guru Har Gobind Ji, I cannot be convinced that plucking flowers and showering them on Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is pleasing to Waheguru. Someone please explain to this moorakh. Thanks.
