Sangat jee, I'm not sure whether this is the right place to post such a request and therefore I would like to begin by asking for forgiveness.

I am part of a group of final year students at Aston University in Birmingham, studying a module called Effective Management Consultancy.

The module entails a group of 6 students to carry out a task similar to Sir Alan Sugar's 'The Apprentice', where £50 is to be converted into £1,500+ for our chosen charities; Children in Need, The Prince’s Trust and Breast Cancer, within a 24 hour period on Friday 4th December 2009.

We've planned to do quite a few activities over the course of the day; non-uniform day at schools, bucket collections at train stations (peak times), PS3 gaming tournament, clothing sale, cake sales, bag packing at a supermarket (tbc), and a few more things which are still in the pipeline!

We've also set up a fundraising page: http://www.donatetobreastcancer.org/cubedimension where donations can easily be made.

What I wanted to ask from the online sangat is if you would kindly make a small donation on the above link to help us be successful in our task, but more importantly to raise money for breast cancer research!

If anyone has any alternative/additional ideas in how we can meet our deadline, we'd love to hear from you!

Also, if sangat could forward this info and link to close family and friends, that would be much appreciated.

Our strategy for this is not to advertise on facebook as it will jeopardise our activities - other people studying the same module may copy our idea! Therefore we're just targeting close family, friends and our placement companies.

Thank you all in advance! Your seva will make a huge difference! May Maharaaj bless us all.

Vaheguru Jee Kaa Khalsa, Vaheguru Jee Kee Fateh!

  4. vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh!

Veerji do you want me to make a facebook event for it?

    Fateh Jee,

Jagmeet jee, sounds like a good idea - go for it!

Will video recordings be made for worldwide audience to watch?

Audio recordings will definitely be made, not too sure about video recordings at the moment.

Gurdwaras should not be named after castes. That goes against the teachings of Guru Nanak.

    I agree.
