  1. Ive got some wonderful Kurdish Turk Cypriot Muslim friends who have always encouraged me to be proud of who I am, stood by me, never tried to coerce or convert me, their mothers and fathers doted on me as one of their own when i was a kid. I am still here 30 something years on believeing in Sikhi. a num of Sub Continental Muslims got issues with their pagan history, looks like same crap as malays hence wahab deobandiism. But then again A Pak Punjabi had a dream that an entity visited him back in 1970s it led to him requesting Singh Sabha London East if he could help take part in Seva of the Original Library.. I dont know his name but you can walk into gurdwara on sundays and find this rather tall Pakistani man 6 foot and his son come in they come as devotees for the last 30 years. What inside a Mans heart only Guru Sahib knows and What Guru Sahib can also put in. So dhyaan na gall karoh. Another born Musalmaan i saw in divaans at Goodmayes and Seven Kings decade ago had a dream of a very high entity. he sacrificied his wife his job career to become a SIkh. Talked very little. He was homeless but took amrit and lived it rough on tokens. There was a lovely pakistani Punjabi Muslim family that lived nearby My Grans home, the Mother would take her children to GuruGhar as kids, her own growing daughters, they would happily engross in seva of shoes. Now their grown happily married with children. The Ladys husband a Punjabi had no qualms what his wife or kids did. I dont believe its fair to say "EVil mohammedan". I lost my wallet last year with my driving licence, £200 cash, a host of personal useful data. Guess what? A Pakistani lad found it rang up gave me back everything even gave me a hug and said here you go brother! Theres me ringing the cops DVLA wary thinking some frauds gonna take place? I went on the Cops Data file list in case anything cropped up. Nothing!! That random bloke did something for me where my own uncles and aunts would happily do me over! That Pakistani lad with a Beard and shoulder length long hair taught me something.. But if your talking Mirpuris Kashmiris its a diff world. Yes theres a lot of forced preaching and converting. In Fact a lot of the Issues around sexual grooming, racial tension, segregation in Britain are found to be areas with a high Potohari Mirpuri Kashmiri community. If thats racist stating facts so be it. ALl you need to do is look at the so called " 2001 Asian riots" .. It gives a lot of other decent muslim communities in britain a bad name. Yeh there are issues with drugs in Turks Kurds but go West London or BC What do you think happens in Punjabi areas?? But when it comes to religion all im saying is there are communities ive got respect from with no racism and theres a lot of positive integration and mutual sharing happening right now. get the good n the bad all over. all it is with apneh we dont use religion, its just upfront akhar. Others use religion. Some use Race. Then whos evil? its just a bs ego play. Stick to whatever paat seva simran u can do n dont worry.
  2. Whats it matter if your Sikh Christian Hindu Muslim? The facts are crystal clear. 3 of 5 English Killers implicated in the 1992 Racist Murder of an Affro carribean boy Stephen Lawrence are yet to be bought to Justice!! The Racist Killing of Black Schoolboy Rolan Adams by ENglish racist Thugs results in a 2 year sentance!! 2 Years for ending the life of a 15 year old?? The Killers of Indian Rohit Duggal are not bought to book. Indian Satpal Ram was jailed 15 years for defending his own life. Justice? Whats it matter if its English justicce american justice or indian Justice. The Rulebook has to be applied fairly no matter what colour Race Religion someone is. Mahatma Ghandi had supported Racial Apartheid in South Africa and wrote letters sympathising with Hitlers Secretary. Was he a "Terrorist sympathiser" for South African Natives and jewish Diaspora in Germany? But a Saviour for Upper Class Hindus? or does the definition of terrorist always stay the same?
  3. I visited Both Singh Sabha London East and Karamsar in that Era. My take ( correct me if im wrong) combined factors kicked in As Sangats were branching outwards from Newham settling across Redbridge it was more convenient then for locals than going back to Neville Rd. Singh Sabha London East Sangat at Barking were attending Karamsar in bigger numbers as the progs and kathaa appealed to them. At the time Barking Committee had little going on. When anything was suggested it fell on deaf ears. Barking should spend money wisely, invest in Youth, renovate with minimal... The atmosphere in a Gurdwara is best when its simple just look at Old Havelock. That feeling of love ekta seva warmth preservation of portraits. Once the Old building fell for the MultiMillion Pound one it may still have numbers but the feeling is now very different. Lots of folk have fond memories from the Old building. I met Bhai Rama Singh there first time.
  4. Communities need to unite together to confront Grooming, intimidation by street gangs. White Black Punjabi. Very dicey, a certain community for generations play the Race Card to evade Control Authorities. It is good Sikhs and Hindus now ask not to be labelled as "Asians", But keep well away from edl. All communities need their own Black Sisters, ENglish Womens rights, SAS for Sikhs co ordinating together on a joint platform.
  5. 80 year Old OAP Joginder Singh was brutally attacked to the ground with his Dastar off and spat at the Edl Admin put up a link on Facebook. instead of seeing sympathy a voice of Edl Followers put up comments like "f.. Asian pervert got what he deserved" " How dare he touch a girl" ..That seemed to drown out any sympathy with racial hatred without using the words "P..." Edl founder Tommy went off to the BFP to enhance his Political Career back in 2010 new Edl Facebook Admins posted up article on "Race and ImmigratioN" talked about the negative effect other races had on Britain. This article was from earlier BNP publications. a good deal of Edl followers were starting to come out of the closet some openly discussing they were Edl practically on street and voting for BNP ( despite Tommys assurances to the Public Edl and Bnp hated one another).Ok it might have cleared up a touch from 2010. But BNP Is no ordinary party its objective is to keep segregation and kick non whites out. Around that time Tommy came back and vowed to kick racists out. I am pained apneh are going into these groups without knowing too much about them. Edited Part 11.18am 13th Dec ( I apologise to Sangat for what was said of a deceased Sikh but those comments is what I had witnessed on facebook Edl Page as soon as The Admin put the link to the attack on. The comments were disgusting, I should have recorded them and showed the sangat. Please be aware of any group research into it yourself, spend time and study their activities, group consensus, go beyond the leadership Rhetoric to floor level to know what your getting into. In Past one man leadership may have binded that group but it dont mean hes repping all their concerns which can be racial). If we are to stand up to Grooming we have SAS in our own community.
  6. How long you been training paaj? How about protein bars? Depends on the stretch of your day. I dont do much now but found eating more mini meals, good clean diet keep away from junk helped.
  7. Paaji whereabouts in the Uk are you? Hoo Hing ( Chinese Distributor) Nationwide.. do Veggie Chicken Nuggets, Veggie Prawn Nuggets n other stuff. Last time i checked on packet theres no egg or animal fat there. Theres a host of other Veggie and Health Shops even Jewish shops that sell just veg if your in London. weight loss can also be achieved by having 5 small meals a day. Have you tried Raw food diet? Do you have your paani first or after meal?
  8. * keep fit. Cardio Cores to start with.
  9. Im glad you bought this up. I used to have this issue bro * Breathe slow, take a lambaah saas open the throat passage wider till you feel the havaa going to to the tidh chest out pause two seconds then come back up. You may find the vocal changes a bit too.. * Keep sangat * Seva ( and or engage public ie help a granny cross a rd) * whatever meditation you do paaji is always good for you. * If you eat sweet n processed stuff bro keep it minimal. * If anybody puts you down, family friend or foe recognise what has happened. Nobody has a right to judge you. You are here with precious time on this earth to shine brother. * Work or home life take a fwd role in problem solving * when you get stronger you will find in a funny moment outside you suddenly have the ability to crack a joke with random people you dont even know. * dont worry chillax and enjoy life travel, meet friends, explore, hang out with folk who make you feel better without compromising who you are. If any man puts you down (because its their habit) you tell em to buzz off!
  10. Ok fair point I understand Gurdwaras need to do their bit! But when I grew up, I was not told "oi mundeh stick to your own". It was more like try to do the right thing in your mind, dont forget who you are, it was automatic that you preffered someone with a similar way of life when it came to marriage. We had attension from kurria more so in other creeds, but you either had the dating crowd or the ones that would be like "Save it for marriage". Now that was considered special! with dating communities are now open to all kinds of issues. We have so much history heritage sikhi and it works well for us. WHy would anyone want to experiment outside in grey areas where you become susceptiible to compromise to another level?? Just because you might know a work colleague you spend 10 hours with on a shift? Punjabi families Sikh families (of diverse backgrounds white brown punjabi delhiwaleh) need to open up horizons, change the way parenting done, look at genders equally become functioning members in local communities get to know each other better. Then at least when the kid grows up theres hosslah and hope.
  11. you dont get the english crapping over each other like that in churches I dont see what the bloodline thing did for me or my uncles grandads? You can channelise yourself a good way and become anakhi or you can be a total jack and screw over people, i got the likes of both in my own family. Whatever the education or employment rate in Punjab is there is no way on Earth a Man of the Same clay should be looked as unworthy. n woman n all!
  12. im seeing more sikhi now than i saw 20 years ago in terms of camps, parchars, workshops singhs with dammaleh and singhanis... We should be coming together from an era where folk did not always know, where athiesm was rising then too, Make the most of what you got.
  13. that sort of stuff seems modern to me. Back in the day dont matter if you had a pagh or cut hair. If you lived outside Southalls Birminghams, you were a tiny minority of a slightly bigger ethnic minority of blacks and paks who equally could turn on you, if you didnt get it from the Working classes. So when apneh saw each other other there was affinity. As communities grew bigger Punjabis the Unity fractures, splinter into this that. We used to get pangeh all the time from chitteh kaleh gangs when we were like 15 16. Hit 17 go into Southall get hyped up apneh. Total opposite, eyes glaring at each other?? It dont matter who or what you are, community spirit is lacking. You can make excuses on rehat, this that other, the bottom line is things have changed, some of good some for bad.. If we had a Solid leadership in Gurdwara i reckon that could create a brill focal point on community building again.. People get peed off with tribalism groups, you look like this, i drive a merc you got a chitty chitty bang bang, im this jatha your that splintering.. 20 years ago you would not even be able to walk down certain areas and rds without getting a bar coming your way. When that happens you dont give a monkeys whos got a pagh or whos a mona. You were judged by actions of what you did and words you carried. I know Some ace singhs and monai who held it down, all you guys probably do that bloke was probably your uncle. Ones a Singh his best mate was a mona. If you ever met Bhai Rama Singh they would encourage community things of togetherness. Youth of today on all sides have let their Forefathers down. If we had to work our butts off 3 jobs in 1964 provide for a family, yourself, save a little to help open a gurdwara, no health n safety at work, crapped over by Managers, accepting racism as a reality to overcome our poverty, hoping the world will change, all the bs goes aside. Ancestors did noto face that to watch our communities divide off and yes you had monai and singhs then too.
  14. I reckon he deleted it. The guy started off as though he had mutual respect, then went off on his scripted agenda! By end of it hes got his own bezzati done, even his co faith members were criticising him. On Imrans video version were Singh on one side Bright red letters sprayed blood type effect "Vs" He on other.. In the title of his video Imran instructed his audience to engage with Sikhs to clear "Misconceptions" that only the path of SWT is "acceptable"! Sly dude.. He explicitly instructed members of the public to disrupt Multicultural Harmony by homogenising SPiirtuality by telling others their own identity their spirituality their conciousness and worth is wrong! deleting his acc does not surprise me one bit! Its a shame! if only Imran had sought an understanding of Interfaith mutual respect everybody is open arms and warms up to communities sharing ideals. ( comment edited - Imran got his bezzati done)
  15. time to spend with family, relatives chillax go gurdwara or do something useful. I see nothing wrong with giving a moments respect to a dude who gave up his life for others just like our Ancestors did so long as you know who you are and do your paat. dont mean you you gonna become a bible basher hanaa
  16. Its fine to aappreciate others with a sense of caring and sharing converting out of sikhi is soo off the wall!!. why give up a diamond?? I had a 40 min debate with a Jehovas Witness punjabi Aunty in salwar kameez used to go gurdwara claimed she read from Bani, Folk laughed at her misery, wound her up and packed her bags n took her kids that way. Similaar scenario happened to an old friend of a friends mum but he became a Singh and had beef with his christian turned mum who didnt wannt her Singh Son influencing his younger siblings?? btw the first aunty. her hubby was a shraabi and her hubby left her. After she turned to christianity.
  17. False is he/she who judges others by the lense of his own darkness! true Human spirited person looks within.
  18. before i get picked up for a contradiction London back in the 80s had some very sharp lines, you wwent into one town it would be Asian, another would be white, another black, go into another it would be mixed with less fuss ( until 90s) Move in one area out to another in the same city it was like a diff world. Kids with a positive upbringing would not loose their essence. You had your Jeets and Inders taking part in xmas celebs for a laugh get a pressie thats it! No religion or historic value attached to it.
  19. Now living in an area of high Pakistanis Banglas Indians. Back then 26 27 years ago diff ballgame. Diff races whites black chinese irish Browns were thrown together. race was probably a bigger thing than religion in the late 80s. If i was that same 8 year old where I am Id be more religiously concious and less adventerous.
  20. getcha geez! What town city you from Johnny? I used to think community wise. The reality that unfolds is nothing like how we would like to believe it. Things have changed massively some good others bad.
  21. yep singha! Im in me 30s grew up in an ENglish Majority area. The Schools back then did not cater for Multiculturalism much.
  22. Living in the Uk there appears to be more interest to Pagan past than christianity nowdays anyways geez!
  23. same! It has not turned any of us into Bible bashers! I even have 5 Punjabi cousins who were sent to Catholic School, no issues!
  24. Though i can see two sides of it, ultimately what has come to pass will! I do not see the decision in a bad light but rather persons in charge should ideally be amritdhari. Thats not to say somebody whos mona qualified manager businessmen of whatever is any less, its just that sangats would rather have a Management who represents those ideals with which a Gurghar is about. Ive seen some great sevedars who are monai involved in various fields ie Interfaith programmes. The Decision going forward can be seen in the negative that folk are being judged but thats just one way of seeing it. Steps need to be taken for Youth to actively take part in their heritage with love no matter if its shoes dishes charu maar or sitting in office.
