Gur Fateh Jio we visited anandpur sahib and saw the exact place where Guru Gobind Singh ji held diwan on that day. its down that steep bank, from keshgarh sahib. the area is just some bare land, nothing on it, i cant remember if there was signs but basically its got a fence around it and some litter there. I was quite disapointed when some singhs told me this was the very place the 5 piyare took amrit. maybe they only use it at events and really clean it up, but no one seems to know about it or be too concerned................ but everyone heads to the main gurdwara sahib, whle im complaining, i might aswell add the sarovar needed cleaning in march 2008, I did ishnaan but it seemed that it hadnt been cleaned for a while, they might have been waiting til vasakhi tho..............hmm

i know what you mean! ..........................its something to think about ........ but to the arguements that have been put out. as sikhs we are to live in maya but remain unattached........i agree........ we should not go to the forest etc etc and leave grishti jeevan................ also agree but those who do go to the forest can also be liberated, as have done in the past. and those who live in maya can be liberated................... but what is the point of living in maya if you dont try to unattach yourself.............many many people have said to me, we have to live grishti jeevan, and God gave us maya to use...........but they just use that to justify themselves.......... very few actually attempt to get attached...........but you can live a grishti jeevan with out tv, msn, internet, and playstations and millions of other things........... ppl need sometimes stop using gurbani to justify there use.............as somethings are just bad for us and stop us from progressing, and we should minmise its use................

why did you come on here to tell us you wana die? .........why make a thread on this? Im wondering..... you either want attention or you are making it all up......... or I would rather hope that you want to find answers, to your problem, your maybe thinking there are answers and by saying online someone will help you..... If you want that help, contact that helpline..... Basically without the Guru you cannot be liberated, Guru ji via amrit is going to lead you to Akal Purakh........ so you can die and suffer and keep being incarnated until we get the human life again....its a extremly slow and painful process.. . . try to meditate and seek good company, stay away from meat, alcohol, and filth, then you body will feel better......... personally instead of dying you might as well do some seva of poor people, or get a job and give you money to those in need......... why waste a life when you can save others...... ppl a living in wars, little kids starving with out families, and so many other problems........they would do anything to be in your place....... Guru ji is showing his love to you personally by providing everything , this is why he gives you clean water, a warm bed, clothes and food...........and so much more...... the Shabad is all about love, it is the fundamental criteria...........i think your just confused you need to get to that helpline.........

I would have to say he reminds me of most 3HO Sikhs i owe my sikhi to '3h0' sikhs, Guru did kirpa and lead me to them, infact i would claim to be one, what is ur problem jio..... punjabi 'sikhs' have been knwn to have shaved their hair, drink, do drugs and alot of bad things, in 1984 they went against our own people and plotted against our own Dharam. in 1947 and before they contributed to masacares of their own people. ............... in america, in england bad things have been done, but those individuals only tarnish their own jeevan, the Dharma is as pure as Guru Gobind Singh bestowed upon us. there are bad apples everywhere, dont let things make you put divides in us. to be honest, this made me stronger, i prayed to guru ji, and thanked him , that it wasnt me, i was so shocked and it made me think how lucky i am to never faulter from sikhi........ lets work on our lives and experience the true sikhi , and let others follow........ during the days of wars with singhs in the past, when Gurus were givin shaheedi and sahibzadey jis were giving kurbani, times were alot worse and julam were bigger........ lets become stronger!!!! and unite!

best thing to do is not to plan it................. just and enjoy ur time and where ever Guru ji hukam takes u , itl be beautiful. Amritsar , Anandpur Sahib are possibly two places u might wana spend some time at, as there are many historical gurdwaray full of sikh history around these areas, or simply just to enjoy the khalsa spirit and connect to something outa this world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive been learning martial arts for five years, im quite disapointed at what i hear. martial arts no matter what kind arnt meant to be mastered in a short period. if you want to defend your self then there are many courses or clubs which teach you things in a short period. punches , grappling, or basic kicks, they also charge more and will teach you so fast, you will probs only walk away with limited knowledge and no practice.. but learning a martial art is a different game, you are learning an art. Its not about money, but if its gona take 5 years to get to black belt obviously you gona have to pay for the lessons. some clubs can make u a black belt in 6months or even sooner. but without practice and training for many years you cant learn the art or pass it on effectivley. I know from experience, i used to get sick of doing the same kicks and moves ,thousands of times and thinking whats the point. but now its become part of my natural reaction............. the misunderstanding which alot of ppl use to undermine martlail arts is things like the wrist lock. typical statements like how can u use a wrist lock against a punch or jab' are silly and ignorant comments. when you are taught a wrist lock, they show you how to do it, probably in a basic scenario, but in a real life situation u only use it if you see the opportunity, so if you see their wrist exposed supose if they grab hold of you, or a situation where you think it will work then you use it, otherwise you use a alternative move. do these ppl think wrist lock is the only defence against a punch? each move is efective, but you must b able to decide and have the sense to choose which defence or attack to apply, this is why you need to have them trained into your subconsious ...................

HMmmmm..... well im gona be in the European Hapkido Chapionships, which is a Korean Martial Art, i dont see my self as some sort of sports professional tho, its just somat I like doin, well ok its been 5 years now...... :s )))) oh n i train and participate in my dastar, n hopefully in three weeks ill have to find a way to wear the siri sahib also.... any tips will be welcomed............ :D :D

I think Miri Piri Academy is the best choice ................ only those with great fortune get to go there. the kids are brought up doing seva at Harmandir Sahib and learning about sikhi, wat else could you want to give someone............... i cant comment on any other school becos iv have never been there or heard of them

no body in this thread, has mentioned the real reason for cold water showers, and why we should take them, this isnt ritualism, i know alot of apnay are stuck in rituals, but lets not always jump to the idea if you dont know, then it must be a ritual, we are humans, and it is for our benifit to take cold water showers, bhai nand lal ji had a greater reason, and we are the ones who lack faith and gyan. This DOES NOT MEAN I am saying cold showers are compulsory or anything like that, what the Panj Piyaray say and what others say i do not know. but i did mention the science behind the cold ishnaan, maybe someone can research it on SIkh Sangat........................

my advice to ppl is that from the outset, we should have asked for the Singhs reginment number and contact details, something which could be used to verify the facts over exageration of facts and accusations with no hard evidence is useless, and those who wanted to help may have wasted their time on this..........what could have bee something so serious and important...
