But what if they still don't listen and end up marrying a non sikh or end up converting to another religion, would you accept them?
As a loved one, probably. For dharmic advise, no lol.

Id ask them what part of Sikh confuses them, and then tell them its okay to not have the answers for everything, theres no rush. As for the marriage prashan, Id probs tell them its safer to marry a fellow Sikh & keep trust in paath.. It says in paath (please forgive me for mistakes):
So a marriage with a follower of Sikhi is good for a Sikh. Since both would believe in gurbani.. & look, it says 'supreme miseries' above, Im sure marriage problems can be solved with gurbani too.

Vaheguru ji Ka Khalsa
Vaheguru ji Ki Fateh, jioJust a question, have you ever had bad thoughts about someone who is a Sikh, such as, you may think theyre not following correctly? Ive heard a story where a Singh was gurmukh, and then one time he saw 2 Kaur bibi jis speaking in the Gurdwara ji amongs eachother, and he thought to himself that those bibis arent paying attention to the Gurbani at the Gurdwara ji.. After he thought that, I think he lost his attention into Sikhi.. Its because he assumed something wrong about those 2 Kaur bibi jis. Those 2 Kaur bibi jis were actually talking about dharam/Sri Vaheguru ji at the Gurdwara ji, they werent talking about gossip/offtopic things. Somehow when he realized this mistake he did something (I forget what), and he got better. Bhull chuk maaf karliye Vaheguru ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru ji Ki Fateh

Strictly speaking we should only be drinking pure water from well or spring, but due to where we live we might not have access to these things in which case a good quality, fluoride free mineral water is better than drinking poisonous tap water, it is the lesser of the 2 evils.
I think I read some comments about the dangers of modern cooking materials like stainless steel, aluminium, teflon leaching stuff into food and releasing dangerous fumes. I think everyone should use sarbloh, it has lots of benefits.
Ooh okay. Thank you-ji.

Sarbloh Bibecki is supposed to drink water from well, and not from tap. Sarbloh bibeck is not allowed tap water.
If Singh is drinking tap water, then they are lying about sarbloh bibeck. There is another type of bibeck followed in western countries due to tap water use.
Some sarbloh bibecki Singhs in Buddha Dal will not even eat food prepared by their wives, they are that strict.
I think some Singhs in western countries who claim to follow Sarbloh bibeck are speaking jhooth.
Is bottled water allowed?

False ! Panjabis are the best looking ethnic group in India. Panjabis don't look like the stereotypical " Apu " from the simpsons like most Indians do. Panjabis don't go to other states to work as laborer [ they go cross country to Canada ] JK , other Indians from slum filled H*LL holes go to Panjab to work as laborers. Panjabis are the tallest and strongest ethnic group in India [ look it up] , it's also not a Surprise, Panjabi language is now famous because Sikhs carried it . You might not like the Panjabi media with the gangster / bad boys songs but because of these guys Panjabi is not only " surviving " , it's thriving. Gone are the days of Daler Mehdi , the clown who made Sikhs look like a bad meme , now Panjabi media is finally competing with Bollywood and getting 40-50 millions views each video. Look at other states where Hindi replaced the original language , Bihar [ most people don't even speak bhojpuri ] , Rajastan , Gujrat , Maharashtra , Orrisa , Jharkhaland , etc etc . Hindi has killed native languages in most States, but not Panjabi. You have to give it up to Panjabi media even if you dislike them , they are carrying Panjabi. Also forgot to mention , the only other language which is featured most in Bollywood beside hindi is Panjabi , most movies take place in a Panjabi setting and most dialog involve Panjabi phrases mixed with hindi.
Have you been to Punjab recently? There are alot of schools there that teach in Hindi in Punjab.. Its quite odd because I know some families whos children go to those school in Punjab, and their children can't even count in Punjabi. My cousin's family migrated from Punjab to here in the west, and her kid can't read Punjabi but they can read Hindi.. It surprises me. A lot of the shops use Hindi signs rather than Gurmukhi ones. Im pretty sure Delhi was part of the Punjab region as well, and look what its turned into linguistically.

Interesting, I literally thought they must've been panjabis singing dogri geetah, even the instruments style and the videography scream 2000s panjab.
True! I understood the geet very clearly, dogri is probably just a dialect! Im from doab, and most people in my city are from malwa, and I have trouble comprehending what they say at times, but these dogri songs gave me no problems.

I googled jammu/dogri music and I found this song, those girls literally look like punjabis and the dogri language is just like normal punjabi..

Iv never heard that before! But these shrines do demand things. For example every visakhi my nanke keep path and do langar at the family shrine, but last year my nana forgot to organize path and langar at our shrine and he started seeing small snakes everywhere in his house! He would ring my mum up, we Iive in the UK, and tell her how there are snakes everywhere in the house, baby ones . He even got a man to come in and put snake killing tablets in the house it didn't work my nana then hired a snake catcher, but after he caught them and went more snakes appeared . My mum and her brothers who all live abroad got really worried but then my mum remembered that maybe on visakhi my nana forgot to keep path and langar at the jaggah and it turned out he did forget! Once he organized the path and langar the baby snakes disappeared!
I know this sounds crazy but it's true lol
It really confuses me though ...
Wow! Is your nana amritdhari? Im glad alls well. Im too scared to share stories that Ive witnessed.

A lot of jatts have ancestral shrines in their fields by the khoo , some have them built in the corner outside their house but mostly in the fields. So at night that why you might see divas in the fields. My cousins go there everyday and light a diva but at special occasions they get sikhs and other locals to sit there and prepare langar for them. They even keep akand paths there. But yeah ...
Ooooh. Would it be normal for people to get posessed at shrines? On my nanke's side, I think it was an aunty, but whenever shed pass by any ancestor shrines (even unrelated ones) shed lose control of her body and she would regain consciousness after a while but would say her body felt like it got hurt. Just wondering why this would happen.

Hii. Not sure, but a post from last year from his account includes: "Some of our boys cut their hair and ditched dastars, Others (like me) keep kes and turban but trim their beards , others keep all hair but are lost in alcohol and YoYo."

The only odd thing my family does is that we have a "khoo di jagga" in india lol. its one of our ancestors tomb/samadh and my family believe in it, my nanke have their own while my dads side have their own. When i go india i go to our jaggah as well lol we just bow down to it.
Is that why people light divas at wells/khoos/water taps in Punjab?? Last time I went to Punjab, during night itd be all quiet and nobody else to be seen, but then thered be a diva lit near the water tap on the main road. & I think I also heard people pray there when a newborn son is born, do you guys follow that?

Why not Rehman (compassionate) Singh , Rahim (merciful) Singh , Abdullah (servant of god) Singh ??
I think most see our faith as dharmic.. It might also be a cultural thing since a lot of people would rather name their children with names from their native land. Do you think were a dharmic faith?

indra raped the brahmin's wife ...not just abducted her. No sikh should use any form of his name . why not go stright to source instead of honorifics of minor 'Gods'.
how about names like Ajai , Akalroop , Akaljyot, Atol, Aganath, Alekh, Abhekh?
vaheguru ji ka khalsa
vaheguru ji ki fateh, kaur jiMost likely! But take a look at sri jaap sahib! If it was not good of a name/adjective/tainted then its portion wouldnt be used then in prasansa of Sri Vaheguru ji. Also I think that god did praschitt for his mistake so why do people keep defaming him even after he was forgiven and stopped doing that. I dont think its good to keep defaming others after theyve accepted their galti and asked were forgiven by the merciful.. Its like saying we should stop adding the word singh because kpsgill crminal had singh in his name (doesnt make sense). I like the names youve presented. vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh

I begger tell me whats the relevance of "indra" a hindu god in sikh names ?? And not just a "god" , he's believed to be the ruler of hindu heaven who often abuses his power and has even been a womanizer and as a result was cursed by a sage to bear 1000 <banned word filter activated> marks on his body when he tried to abduct the sage's wife.
So what? Indra is a title, it means lord. You cant base hate off of 1 Indras deed. Just cuz your name is Ajeet and you commited a bujjar kurehit (cutting hair), and other paaps (hiding the truth from your fiance) does not mean that the name Ajeet is tainted now & shouldnt be used Also, if someones name is Inderjit for example, it means they won over Indra. Parminder would mean most powerful lord, Narinder would mean lord of humans, Jaginder would mean lord of the world, Satinder would mean lord of truth, Mahindar would mean the great lord etc.. Look at the actual sanskrit meanings behind sanskrit names. A lot of them are adjectives or just nouns.

Sikhs in India should be targeting incoming migrants especially Gujjar nomads who are poor to embrace Sikhism. I say open up Punjab to migrants but only if they convert to Sikhism. Letting in migrants of different faiths is just asking for more religious trouble. Its basically undoing the partition and disrespecting the victims who stood their ground to create a Sikh majority state in the first place.
Preaching of religion is something Indian law allows and that is something Sikhs should take full use of.
Are you talking about Muslim Gujjars?

Are you amritdhari? In my region, if someone becomes amritdhari, then the family usually does not pressure that person to take part in these rituals with them.

vaheguru ji ki fateh jiI think she said shes female "And I’m a female, btw. ". By the way kaur ji, can you tell me what that photo means? Is there a sakhi behind it
Also OP.. Just dont do what you regret doing. Stay positive, and stop doing the obvious paaps that youve committed. Before doing any action, reflect if that action adds to your kaam/ krodh/ lobh/ moh/ ahankar dukhs, then act. Especially those 4 Paaps should be avoided, the ones that were told not to parttake in during amrit initiation. Do you practice nitnem still?? If not, then get started now! Do seva and jaap together at the gurdwara jis, Im pretty sure thatd get rid of countless paaps of any sevak. As for your partner, idk what to say. I think these love affairs are a waste of karma, cuz you know when you get anand from odd things like these it probably means youre using up your good karmas from the past (Im not totally sure about this, Ive heard it elsewhere).. So thats why it seems like a waste of karma to me. Does your partner bring out any of those five dukhs, or do they stop them? You will find your answer? Just focus on bhakti instead, its way more relaxing anyways. Also, go to pesh, tell them everything. They will give you advice as well, also forgive me for any mistakes in this reply, ji vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh

That photo of the Singh with the umbrella is just weird and cheesy.
I had some eid food at work samosa, halwa, samia, ras malai it was nice
I've seen videos online of people letting the ahmdiya Muslims reciting Quran right next to guru Granth sahib ji while standing. I don't like the double standards I remember a few years ago some ramgharia gurdwara was in trouble because they let the Hindus celebrate navatri inside and the hindu ladies were dancing infront of their murtis. I mean what's the difference? Why are murtis and dancing not ok while letting Muslims pray and recite Quran in gurdwara is ok? Some of these sikhs are begging for acceptance and approval, how embarrassing. I mean what's next, Christmas trees and father Christmas, bet you sikhs who love approval from goreh would love to do that.
From where did you consume eid food? I dont think thats allowed per sikhi! I think its appropriate to eat consumables from gurmukhs/langar/buy it yourself, rather than people of other faiths since Ive heard that whomever we eat from we get influenced by their intellect.
