  1. your nephew ? excuse me get it straight you were talking about your Chacha and Chachi so that make any kid your cousin....he may have a jooda but does he know anything about sikhi . Besides I hold you at zero level of sikhi because you engaged in dating and then talk about considering other faith girls ...man sort out your besharami before you judge others . You may not consider it your duty but I think that is down to your lack of knowledge but I will try my best whenever and whereever I can. p.s. anyone capable of hanging their iman, sharam hiya on a koonti to go to Bollywood is not Dasmesh Pita di beti ...when she said it , the thought that came to mind 'tanu kaun puchh reha ?' kaali ghada jadde bolda
  2. It's like this they grew up surrounded by jewels of wisdom, but being ignorant of their value they considered them commonplace pebbles and thus paid them no mind . Having grown up being influenced by Godless, faithless people they believe that the treasure lies in 'living it up' . There is still time to show them what treasures lie in their own yard ...and that is what we must do ...
  3. Malkeet , if that is your name, please tell me your muslim aunties have sikh children, muslim children or atheists because that is the only three flavours that come out of that situation , the chances that the kids will be sikhs is lower than that of being atheist , because your uncles have zero respect or knowledge of what the Guru s and Sikhs of the past laid their lives down for just like those girls you cuss, and to be honest there is no way a muslimah is going to be versed enough or even motivated enough to teach their kids to be gursikhs . So there you have it the destruction of the future of sikhi . It is not about fish in the sea it is about ensuring going forward that there are a strong group of Sikh women who know and can teach their kids what it means to be real , to stand up for right, to be spiritual ...sure anyone can throw up their hands and say let them go ....but that is washing your hands of responsibility that Guru ji placed on all his followers to spread the message of sikhi and remind those who have strayed where the path lies and encourage them back .Guru ji didn't bring up generations of backsliders , you can't crow about being sikh if you are willing to just let it slide
  4. GUys This is the latest insult they're taking Dhan Dhan Guru Gobind Singh ji's bani and mashing it up with banal lyrics then dedicating to MODI
  5. Jasvinder Singh is making a good start with our Vanjara brothers and sisters: https://www.facebook.com/SikhVoice/photos/a.318452421542415.87730.318449181542739/886309331423385/?type=1&theater
  6. The first time I watched the film I pointed out the major sikhi parenting fail : "I know it is not anything to do with sikhi beta but we shouldn't hurt someone's heart".....leading to later where the same girl is timid , lying to cover up a possibly abusive/absent husband. If that's the gift of rakhdri you can keep it , my Guru ji made his daughters into sherni not chuhi. The Dad should have talked to them both and given them both kirpans and told them 'you should become Khalsa so you can look after each other and the world' much more sound sikh idea
  7. I Guess it is true because Uday SIngh has given out his hukhamnama.... https://www.facebook.com/ASRPM/photos/pcb.1614584432125884/1614584352125892/?type=1&theater It is different if we respect a person because they realise their mistake and come back under the panthic maryada , but if they are capable of saying Guru Granth Sahib ji is not Guru kehn di laik then there is NO WAY I can respect that person or interact with them then the caste based nonsense is the cherry on top.
  8. how many brothers failed to protect their sisters during Mughal years , what happened to the duty then ? empty ritual
  9. You seem to forget that Sikhs need not be born as babes , then can be reborn by taking Amrit ... so if we do sterling effort in parchaar maybe the future is not so bleak ...besides how do you know that this is not another RSS media propaganda thing.
  10. so perhaps the media were premature to announce Namdharis in general ... which faction is larger Uday's shish or Dalip's?
  11. I mean I had to choose between taking instruction at a local Namdhari centre or obey Hukham to stay away and I chose rehit . Maybe others will disagree but I felt that if I was meant to learn punjabi from a gursikh then something so much more important as gurmat sangeet then the basics would have at least that level of discernment.
  12. integral means they are essential for the existence of the panth ...how can they be integral when they have excluded themselves for how many decades and rejected Guru ji's rehit ...please think about it ...True if they have renounced the act of setting up dehdhari Gurus , done pesh before Panj and taken amrit of Khalsa Rehit then no problems then they are brother and sisters again else they are just becoming bheki sikhs with a lot of hindu customs such as havan. Don't get me wrong I would love for all of them to become Khalsa then we will gain a lot of sangeet gian again
  13. possibly showing people that just wearing kirpan without doing pesh for such a big papp makes a mockery of amrit sanchar nahin?
  14. well if they were being full-on sincere they should it least adhere to panth's rehit and break from previous 'amrit' rules
  15. just had this drop on my feed , apparently officially Baba Dalip 'Singh' has officially rejoined panth and has given hukhamnama to his followers to do same and have Guru of Guru Granth Sahib, I feel mixed on this: 1. having seen them greeting RSS peeps in photos recently taken 2. they have not retaken amrit from Panj just put on kirpan anyway here's the link, tell me what you reckon: https://www.facebook.com/ASRPM/posts/1614584432125884
  16. in India surely Guru Granth Sahib ji is a legal entity ...if so if people have donate lands to Guru ji is history past it is only His and the SPGC have only rights to use for gurdwara purposes , last December they did a land grab at another 6th Patshah Gurdwara and sold that land for 30 million surely we can get them all sent to prison for defrauding Guru ji ...or is Indian legal system that far gone?
  17. they do not own the land , it was given to Guru ji so should be in trust not free to sell like this
  18. it's what has been put in place the whole UNESCO issue is a safety net ...if they cannot manage via SGPC - I mean the writing has been on the wall for some two decades now . BJP/CONGRESS are in cahoots they only put on a front of fighting ,during the 70s, 80s, 90s they agreed to join resources to confound and destroy Sikhs
  19. But if my folks had done that to me what would you say ? I was the eldest sister of four kids ...true I thought more like a son in protecting my family unit but that I put down to siksha of Gursikhi . I was told I needed to get married right away like I was going to contaminate the rest just like you said but I refused to hoodwink another gursikh by not revealing the truth , but at the same time if you did reveal and then got rejected Indians being major gossipers the news would be spread like wildfire, then that would have similar effect on the family's kids . In the end the partner I was given in life knew everything and went in with eyes open , we are bringing up the kids in Gursikhi and I am waiting for him to get ready too, My two brothers married into punjabi sikh families , the one just younger than me is keshadaari but not practising khalsa , his wife similar, My youngest brother is gursikh and married into Khalsa parivar , his wife is Dastarwale Singhni and my sister married last to a mona sikh from a different jaat but they seem to be practise gurbani more than my keshadhari bro and his wife. I am married to a gora , who keeps his kesh, eats and lives like us go to gurdwara and would fight for his children's gursikhi without hesitation. So it is not so black and white .
  20. at the time I was under the age of 15 so really not an expert on anything so I did as much as I could judging the age group (17-20) and how new to Gursikhi I was . Guru ji has told us to give advice, talk with prem, if they get it fine , else try to be firmer , if they are still fixated on doing wrong , the best you can do is make sure they don't contaminate others with their thinking and be ready to step into action if intervention is necessary . Arguing and fighting with them will be point less. Now I am older and have kids of that age group I make sure that people know the boundaries between right and wrong before they even get to the point of making those kind of decisions .i.e. we have had talks about relationships, marriage, sex and Sikhi when the boys were very young. Their sister is approaching age where I have already had to talk to her about abuse, but the point is not to paralyse with fear but to give the training what to do in those situations. You have to be aware ALL THE TIME of the changing battlefield that is life . I had to grow up with street smarts because we grew up in a rough neighbourhood , jowl by cheek with aggressive racists, and I have passed on that to my kids because believe me the s@@@ is going to hit the fan and there will be anarchy on the street. Prewarned is prearmed , those who have failed to get the message re-educate ... we are supposed to make our best effort to resolve the situation , supposed to give three tries at diplomacy then cut off and go on to defensive mode.
  21. I think I have to disagree Sikhi has always been a flat co-operative hierarchy Under Guru ji , when we inserted Kings into the mix , that individual's dhils let in dhils in the panth Ranjit SIngh stopped the Sarbat Khalsa that was the governing model that had survived outside attack for hundreds of years . AFter that he reduced Khalsa influence on commanding roles and administrative roles. Leadership has to start in individual families , then villages, then towns ,districts, then whole state... It is like the brain cell model , you can knock out an area but the other cells still function and cover the lack. WHen we try to copy western or hindu models we will be less effective . Our history survives in people that's why we know what is bogus i n the history books .
  22. How many sikhs do you think have dirty laundry that remains hidden , do we even think about it when we think of doing fateh or Sat Shri Akal ? If yes we are not being right because the true judge will give them what they deserve, if No then you are approaching life in a sikh way. Our job as Gursikhs is to dekhke anditta karna, and help them get back to the right path through guidance and love. Stockholm syndrome/battered woman syndrome is well documented and I suspect a lot of these girls are stuck in thinking cul-de-sacs , we need to give them a new pattern of thought, a new way to reconnect to others through sewa . Ardas is a phenomenal power we all need to use it in life. p.s. I personally know amritdhari guys who had gori and kali girlfriends prior to marriage , I didn't agree with it , still don't; extramarital sex is a big no-no . But did I tell on them ? no I talked to their family members of their ages to tell them to stop but left the rest to Waheguru ji . Whatever they get is through their actions , I did my duty by reminding gently without getting into a major blowup
  23. we have to change our soch , it has become like those pitiful hindus who rejected their daughters when they came back ...the past is the past . If Akal Purakh can accept Ganika, Kauda rakash, Sajjan Thug and pappi like them and enlighten them who are we to castigate and reject them? That shows our lack of bandgi, sikhi and daya
  24. probably it is an attempt to malign nihangs , but it is true that Hindus consume bhang for getting out of their heads and so have pushed their bad attitudes into our circles.
