  1. On the topic of food products, are Amritdhari's allowed to eat chewing gum? I know loads that do.. But i've also heard your not allowed..
  2. And bhaji i guess this would be more practical, for future benefits.
  3. Hanji bhaji, this seems like the most appropriate approach It all comes down to the individuals and how ultimately they would like to celebrate there day.
  4. Hahaha simran345! Thanks penji ? i'll concentrate on my studies before i go there ?
  5. Simran345 ??? haha. Im still waiting ji for my fiancéé. Where is he ?
  6. ? singhbj singh, sorry bhaji. Im a singhni, but this is all new to me. ? thanks again all for the suggestions. Obviously I wouldn't want to do anything wrong on our day. Simran345 & KhoonKaBadIaKhoon I guess a first dance isn't wrong if it's done in an appropriate manner. Haha, and i'm not engaged either yet. I was just wondering the options and ways to celebrate an amritdhari wedding with family and friends ? but thank you all again for your suggestions ?? wjkk wjkf
  7. Thats a really good idea GurbulAkal. Thank youuu! Any suggestion for Gatka Akhara? That would be lovely too Simran345. Are we allowed music though? Obviously appropriate ones I mean. Correct me if im wrong, but Amritdhari's shouldn't have a first dance and things right?
  8. Thank you for your comments everyone :) your right simran345 i'm sure relatives and friends can survive another day without meat alcohol and music. Thank you also for the recommendation InderjitS, I will bare the jatha in mind ? and Pakandi Baba, thank you for the suggestions. If anyone else has any recommendations, please feel free to add to the ones given.

  10. Wjkk wjkf, So, my family aren't amridhari sikhs however I am myself. I'd like to know more about the wedding ceremony. Are amritdhari's allowed to have a wedding reception hall after the anand karaj ceremony? If they are what would be an acceptable celebration with family and friends? Forgive me for saying anything wrong. I'd appreciate all comments and suggestions from sangat ji. :)
  11. Waheguru Ji Ka khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh ? I've seen Giani Ji's after Sukhmani sahib paaths, or when Guru Maharaj is being transported recite chaupai sahib. It's offered as protection during that period of time if I'm right.
  12. Penji. You don't know me, but I felt for you through your post. I somewhat understand where your coming from, because I felt the same way a short while ago. If you would like someone to talk to, private message me. Trust that waheguru always does the right thing, and gives lessons when they need to. Keep Guru Sahib in your heart always. I hope he listens to you soon.
  13. ? maharaj kirpa. Thank you both for your help. I guess working towards a goal, will help me to reach maharaj at amrit vela if I start off slow and build a nitnem which is suitable for me. Thank you again and for the quote bhaji. I will keep that in mind when I'm struggling. ??
  14. Bhenjee ? .. Thank you bhaji's, for both your advice. But the complication also comes when other things get in the way.. And NOT doing nitnem at all.. So how do you justify not doing it.
  15. I fail to wake at amrit vela, resulting in not doing nitnem paath or simran in the early hours of the morning. I feel like my sikhi saroop isn't there, which makes me feel 'dead whilst yet alive..' I set a routine and slowly it works and then something gets in the way, resulting to failure again. I haven't been consistent with amrit vela, some days are better than others but I feel like I'm sinning. Does this mean I will have to go to pesh to ask for forgiveness as I've initially broken a vow to guru sahib of not waking at amrit vela and doing nitnem bani.. Please any advice would be helpful.
