It doesn't happen, usually, through theoretical means. Most of the time the process of mental strength is a result of a preceding period of trauma or adversity that leaves a mark on the individual. If one hasn't been completely defeated and bowed by those difficult experiences, a good place to begin the rebuilding process is a lot of honest and stark introspection. Don't fall into the obvious trap of externalising all your problems on a third party. Be ultra critical of yourself, and decide whether there was any deficiencies in your own character and conduct that may have contributed to your issues. If you can't be honest with yourself, life is virtually worthless on so many levels. Manufacturing mental rigidity because you want to be safe and well-prepared is absolutely possible but doesn't quite have that same urgency and "sting" as someone who is forced to develop that inner strength and rigidity through necessity. It's amazing, lol. I've noticed an emboldening of the Indian right to assert themselves and their Indian identity since Modi came to power. It's clear as day across social media based on my observations that this newfound spirit of pride originates from the social engineering being pushed in the Indian media. She can't bring herself to say she's still a Sikh. Yeah, I'd say she's converted, but for the purposes of her career and her fan following she's choosing her words carefully. It's called Lying By Omission, i.e. it's not what she says that needs to be analysed but what she purposefully selects to omit that's the truth.
