  1. Ah well, as it goes with these dramas, they usually die down eventually, and things get back to normal after a while. It is unfortunate for the Singh that lost his life, as well as the sad situation for his widow and children. I hope Bhai Ranjit Singh ensures the children are educated (providing the necessary funds), and they can have a relatively normal life.
  2. There are those of us who believe Sikhi is the way forward for mankind. Then there are these regionalised squabbles between the very people who are supposedly at the top of the Sikh hierarchy. We wonder why people laugh in our faces when it's suggested that Sikhi is the one true path.
  3. These fat faggots would get winded walking down the stairs. That aside, anyone else believe we haven't learnt our lessons from last time, in terms of toughening up, self defence, etc? When was the last time you ever heard a parcharak tell the sangat they NEED to learn how to fight in case something like what occurred during the 80's reared its head again? Anyone?
  4. This so-called "trained" assassin must've been trained by Mr. Magoo. A genuine assassin knows his target, and doesn't mistake his quarry for someone else.
  5. I agree, violence is a complete no-no. If a man has to resort to a backhander to keep the peace, then I'm afraid he is with the wrong woman. A good woman / partner / wife doesn't play games, and doesn't put her husband in situations where he feels compelled to treat her like an animal. That is unless he's a complete fool who practices aggression even against a decent woman, and in that case he deserves everything that comes his way. I don't see an issue with a man raising his voice if his wife seems to be labouring under a few misconceptions. Usually, nipping behaviour like that in the bud is enough to ensure an harmonious household for the entirety of their lives. A fearful, weak man who can't speak up for himself and assert some semblance of authority in situations that are threatening to spiral out of control is an absolute disgrace. If he's afraid of his wife, how on earth is he meant to be the rock which inspires confidence in his dependents? In relationship dynamics that go back to our evolutionary traits as human beings, a woman will never give herself completely to someone she doesn't respect. But that's another subject. Funnily enough, the strongest and most intimidating men I've known don't need to punch or scream in order to assert themselves. All it takes is a glance, and that's usually enough. They exude a certain quality that can't be taught or copied merely by observation. That's true power.
  6. Raising one's voice is equal to violent oppression, is it? So, for arguments sake, if someone is taking liberties on a daily basis, a person can't voice their displeasure by elevating their voice to communicate their unhappiness about the situation?
  7. You do know what hypothetical means? A 'what if' scenario? "Had we the numbers to really get down to business, this is what we should've done" Alternate timeline? You're getting caught up in history. I'm telling you what we SHOULD'VE done, and you're haggling over numbers. I'm not being sarcastic or condescending. Who do you think I am, Jagsaw?
  8. That's fine, but if we genuinely had designs on a Sikh homeland, no Sikh country would've been possible with an 85% Muslim majority! So, what do you suppose would happen? You either throw them out or convert them. Those Muslims cheering for Ranjit Singh is irrelevant. They were still Muslims! It's actually that kind of flattery and pandering to our egos that has frigged us over time and time again. So they cheered their emancipators, big deal. How did that aid us in creating a Sikh majority state? We decided to conduct a multi-religious social experiment, the end result being made homeless in 47 and then raped and butchered in the 80's and 90's. Oh but those 19th century Muslims cheered for us back in the day(!)
  9. Don't shoot the messenger, hehe. I'm just relaying to my brothers and sisters on this site what I'm seeing and hearing, and not just me, but the kind of conversations that are starting to be had in some circles. Occasionally, we wrap ourselves up in this safe space on this site where we lose touch with the non-Sikh reality that the rest of the world is experiencing, and we end up believing things or versions of events about daily life that have very little semblance to whats truly occuring out in the world. I think that's a very dangerous way to live; possessing erroneous assumptions about a world that is clearly in a state of transition, and usually in the past we've always been a few steps behind and that's not ideal. So, yes, we should be aware of the changing tides, and if that means coming to terms with various uncomfortable truths that previously we'd be loathe to admit, then so be it. The only people who'll suffer by sticking our heads in the sand is us.
  10. That's my point. Had we the stomach to go the extra miles to secure our future, none of what we'd have hypothetically achieved would've been through "hath jor ke benti." It would've been bloody, violent, and generally unpleasant. That's why I mentioned "alternate timeline." It was a fantasy scenario, a "what if." Btw, if anyone believes - in my hypothetical situation above - that no proud Hindus or Muslims would've resisted Sikh armies that were determined to carve out a country and kingdom for Sikhs, then we're living in cloud cuckoo land.
  11. Apologise? No, I don't think so, but with the Muslim it's a tad complex and goes much deeper than it would with a civilisation built on an un-Islamic philosophy. Theirs is one of complete domination and subjugation as decreed by their "God." Politics and faith are so closely linked for them that it's inexplicable that anything not Islamic can survive and flourish. Admittedly, the Mughals may have asserted their dominance yet continued to allow small pockets of non-Muslims to exist, but with things like jizya, etc, and other smaller micro-aggressions, the hope was to eventually wear down opposition and absorb them into the larger Islamic organism. Plus, there's the general demeanour of certain Muslims who revel in the death and destruction meted out by the Mughals, even to this day. That kind of behaviour is symptomatic of the kind of filth the Islamic faith breeds. There is no mercy and sympathy.
  12. You're confusing governments and institutions with the man on the street, who is as much responsible for what occurs in foreign lands as we were when the Indian government attacked us during the last century, I.e. not very much. Plus, dominant cultures and races are built not through love and understanding, but through brute force. Yes, it's barbaric, underhand at times, and inhumane, but it's a cold, hard fact of human life. If only we'd possessed that steel, brutality, and determination when we had our own lands, perhaps we'd have been spared from our current fate. But then in an alternate timeline when Sikhs ruled their own lands and beyond, we'd be hearing the Hindu and Muslim equivalents of yourself lamenting the marauding Sikh armies of the 19th century for doing to them what always happens when civilisations are created and countries are forged. It's just a matter of perspective. Doesn't mean we have to like it or endorse it.
  13. The white British (the average man) are reaching the end of their tether. It's exactly this kind of behaviour that they and other denominations of the White man are beginning to rally against. The white man believes he's under attack; he believes his very existence is under threat by a global population that is laying all the blame for the ills of the world at his doorstep. This gesture, as satisfying as it may be for us, is another slap in the face for him; a perceived betrayal by his own in favour of the Other. Even the apparently tolerant and welcoming indigenous white Canadian has started to grumble about how his country is full to the brim of third-world foreigners. The voices may be no more than a whisper at the moment, but the beginnings of something are definitely there. You've just got to know where to look.

    Atheists

How does an atheist affect you? You gonna lynch them because they're non-believers? "Punishment." Does that excite you?
  15. Neither side is represented by anyone I'd trust. They're all shysters. That's not a cop-out, but a genuine problem. One side says, "Leave the EU and there'll be WWIII" and the other side says, "Stay in the EU and... there'll be WWIII" (paraphrasing). What a mess.
  16. I'd like to think if we ever see those dark times in our lifetime, most of us will follow the examples of our Guru Sahibs and other notable personalities, particularly those who saw combat. Make no mistake, the battle will be exclusively of the whites. They'll have to fight to reclaim their lands. Ours, if it ever gets that bad, will be one of exclusively self defence. Let's not be idiotic heroes and try to steal the limelight, and end up looking like a bunch of fools. We won't have the numbers for much more. As for the sell-outs from all sides, let them burn. They thought they were smart. Their condescension and their arrogance will be their downfall. Let them talk their way out of it when they try to reason with those who don't possess an ounce of reason, lol. We'll be old men or dead by the time the above transpires on the streets of Britain, but I think we'll see the fall of Scandinavia and the ensuing reverberations from similar events at the tail end of our lives.
  17. I think there'll be some considerable collateral damage before we'll be able to bask in glory. Those of us who excessively brown-nose whites, as well as those at the other end of the spectrum who appease and apologise for Muslims will both probably end up questioning their very sanity in shock. I'd like to say, "I told you so" but when that day comes I won't bother.
  18. I'm just saying that when something like this happens, the first conclusion that most of our lot jump to is most likely completely wrong. Don't be played. By anyone. I'm bowing out of this one. Hope whoever was responsible is caught.
  19. He clearly pleads with the sangat not to begin to doubt each other or point fingers at one another. Why would he say that if he didn't suspect the perpetrators were not outsiders? So, either he knows something that he's not telling us, or it was a slip of the tongue. If you don't believe me, go watch the video again.
  20. I'm saying not to jump to the most obvious assumption. Even Bhai Sahib said in the video not to turn on each other.
  21. Yes, for us, as a minority in a Western country (which is a basic fact a few of us seem to forget), when society inevitably lurches towards the Far Right in the next 30-50 years in response to the bakwaas that's being currently spread by the Far Left, life will become intolerably difficult. I see dark times ahead whichever Western ideology eventually wins out.
  22. That's exactly the kind of thing I'd shout to take the heat off me in a situation like that, especially if my motives were rooted in something non-panthic. I will say one thing: he looks seriously shaken up by the incident. It's written all over his face. Whatever it was, he wasn't expecting it.
  23. Could be a settling of private / personal scores that we know nothing about. Not necessarily a panthic issue.
  24. Bro, I think you need to get help (I mean this in the nicest way possible). Your personal issues coupled with your desire to follow the correct methods of worship, etc, will overwhelm you if you don't get a handle on the underlying problems. Don't burn yourself out, and end up dropping everything after a year or two when it becomes too much for you to handle.
