  1. Brother 1699, wjkk, wjkf I have felt from your thread is that you are concerned more about Hindutva, RSS, Ravidassia etc. etc. Let me politely ask you, are you a Sikh or a chamar? Because from your discussion, it smells of the plan to pollute Sikhi with those who call Ravidass as Guru, bring them into Sikhi fold and create such a mess that Sikhi is destroyed from inside because these people would insist of calling Ravidass as Guru. Since they would already be in, mess is there and there goes our Sikhi down the drain. So you want all these Raviadss followers ina nd turn SIkhi upside down? Destroy all its concepts and loose everything gained over 3 centuries and destroy everything by striking at its core by diluting it and making another guru. Don't be surprised that when we have two symbols, two jaikaras, two granths (three actually), two traditions. Wonderful plan brother. This is called Hindutva agenda. I know you may feel bad in what I am saying. But please tell me how else what you are saying can be interpreted? What surprises me is that you support those who want to go out of the bounds of Sikh Mariada and when I say that "let's not dilute Sikhi", you complain that we are falling into hands of RSS or Hindutva agenda. How could it be so? Do we need Ravidassias, Radhasoamis, Kabirpantias, Noormehlias now? How come you want to assimilate all these people when they don't even care about Sikh Mariada and Sikh Gurus? It beats me. May be brother, it is you who may have been influenced by RSS agenda. I have merely said that Ravidass followers are not Sikhs. When did Ravidassia become Sikhs? When did people who are bent of making another Guru become Sikhs? Why is your focus on Ravidass followers only? Are you a chamar or a SIkh? Brother when you are Sikh, Khalsa, you are not some Ravidassia or Noormahlia, aur Saudha Saadh chela. What Dera Ballan does is their business. Why do we Sikhs want to snatch any title forcibly from someone when we already have a tile of "Sikh" or "Khalsa"? Beats me. Maybe you would know better. Tomorrow you would say Radhasoami title can't be used by Gurinder Singh Dhillon's chela? Or something more in future. Following your line of thought, we should go ahead and assimilate all Deras where chamars, mazhabis go and have their own gurus or go to all deras and make everybody a Sikh even though they don't give damn to us and don't call our Gurus as Gurus. It beats me brother. And once they get in, they turn Sikhi upside down because they are in majority and we sit on sidelines watching everything destroyed from inside out. Good plan but won't fly. Maybe you should approach SGPC with your plan. Your egalitarian attitude is appreciable but don't pollute Sikhi with that element which is not Sikh. Ravidassia people will NEVER be SIkh and SIKHS will never be Ravidassia people. Sikh can only be Sikh (Sehajdhari or Amritdhari). Please don't make it harder. Rab Rakha
  2. Brother 1699 wjkk wjkf I like your passion. But you have to realize that we Sikhs are not Raviadssias. Ravidass is NOT our Guru. He is not equal to be Guru. He doesn't deserve to be Guru. Else Guru Nanak Dev Sahib would have addressed him as such in SGGS. Please, I am not against Bhagat Ji or anything but respectfull, we must limit Gurus to 10 and SGGS. If leatherworkers want to come to Sikhi, they must accept only 10 Gurus and SGGS. It is not being fussy, it is just protecting our interests. According to you, we should assimilate all chamars/leatherworkers and allow them to call Ravidass as Guru then let's bring Naamdharis into Sikhi too and call Balak Nath as 11th Guru (this is what they believe), or get Nirankaris into Sikhi fold too and call thier Hardev Singh as Guru or get Radhaswamis and their head Gurinder Singh Dhillon as Sikh guru and mess up everything. I have no love for Rama Nand or any Dera or Dera Ballan. Who gives damn whether they are apartheid followers or not. They are raising Ravidass's profile, that's all they do. Good for them. If they are RSS agents, who cares? Not our business. And when I saw Rama Nand many years ago, he didn't look like a Amritdhari from any angle. He had no karra, had no kirpan, regularly called Ravidass as Guru. Which Amritdhari Singh addersses Raviadss as Guru. When you partake Amrit, you limit your reverance to 10 Gurus and Guru Granth Sahib. If leatherworkers leave Sikhi, it doesn't matter. Who cares? They want to make a non Sikh their Guru, they can do it. Nobody stops them. Power to them but why should we dilute the Sikhi to accommodate them. Sikhs are not Raviadssias. If Sikhs are Ravidassias then Sikh can be Radhaswamis too, Sikhs can be Noormahlias too, SIkhs can be Kabirpanthis too. Where does it stop brother? I understand that you want to enhance population of Sikhi by bringing in all these groups who want to make their own Gurus and increase our population. This is not how Religion survives. People who come into Sikhi should leave their past behind. They get a new lease of life when they come into Sikhi. They should leave their other Gurus like Ravidass, Kabir behind as "Gurus". Guru Nanak Sahib did kirpa on these Bhagats, it doesn't mean that we should make them new Gurus in the Sikhism now just because some leatherworkers want to do that. All the power to leatherworkers in their new religion. I actually admire that they had guts to make their own religion and chose their path and respect them for that. They have been tortured through centuries by everybody. They have their own book. I say again, good riddance from them else there would have been another cause of disturbance in our beautiful religion headed by 10 Gurus and SGGS. This is because some would oppose them and they won't stop and there would be disturbance. WY go the path where we know there is cause of strife?

People are not blind. They see what happened and culprits in Austria Jail are Singhs. Read the news because sometime agao they complained about Austrian Police disrespecetd gutkas. They are all Amritdhari Singhs. It is a simple case of our <banned word filter activated> Singhs killing a dera Baba for no reason. And that guy Rama Nand was not a Singh. He was some Dass I think. Check with your Ballan contacts please. And who cares whether these people who consider Ravidass as guru remain in Sikhi or not. I wish they get out and make their own gurus. They should leave Sikhi because we can't keep on enlisting more and more Gurus. Either we follow Guru Gobind Singh Sahib or we don't. I respect Ravidass Ji too but it doesn't mean we have to make him Guru. Tomorrow Naamdharis would say their Guru is a Sikh guru (they actually already claim that). Nirankaris say that. I don't know what are you talking about 1699. I never said I don't respect Bhagat Ji. And you address Bahagat Ji as Dhan Dhan Baba Ravidass Ji. Why not Bhagat Ravidass Ji as that's how our Gurus addressed him. We have to go by Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. We can't accommodate every caste group who wants to have their own Guru. Please don't dilute the Sikhi. Anyway good riddance of Ravidasis and now they have their own religion and book. What else can we SIkhs say. They want their "Guru" Ravidass, they get "Guru" Ravidass but never in Sikhi. Good for them. Good luck and wish peace to them.

While I am not in love with any dera but those idiots who murdered this Baba were our own Singhs and they have their families living in India who are all in Sikhi saroop. So I don't know where you got this intelligence report of yours from :-) Sorry to take wind out of your claims. And I heard this Baba too in a program. I didn't see anything wrong in it or any beadbi in it.E Else Singhs would have objected. I think it was about 10 years ago...and he was singing a shabad related to life of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. The problem is that ravidass people are not Sikhs and they can never be Sikhs because they call Baba Ravidass as Guru. We are not going to allow any further Gurus in Sikhi because Guru Gobind Singh ji has clearly stated who is Guru now. I am glad these Ravidass followers are out of Sikhi and they have their own religion now and follow their own book. Less trouble and violence and they are not the sort of people we want to mess with. They are all over India. good riddance from them.
  5. The Baba sitting at the tabia of Guru Ji is not Rama Nand. He was a local from Balwant Singh's Dera. The guy looked like Rama Nand. I heard Rama Nand before at my friend's house and this "chour" sewa guy doesn't sound like Rama Nand. And Rama Nand Dera people had no association with Bawant Singh Dera because Rama Nand was chamar and Balwant Singh was jatt. Moreoevr this guy at chour is very dark, Rama Nand was relatively gora. Rama Nand didn't believe in this tilak shilak of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He was a nice bloke but our idiots killed him. I know it because one of my relatives went to that Dera too. This video is few years old.
  6. I live in a condominium complex and there are rooms on top of my room. I am at 10th floor in a 34 floor building. So I must be disrespecting the bani. I feel so sad and ashamed about it. The good things is that I don't keep feet towards Gutka Sahibs but my neighbors feet face the Gurka Sahibs and I had a word with him and asked him to change his direction. In fact he made a bathroom behind the pedestal where I keep gutka sahibs. What should I do now? I moved Gutka sahibs around but on the other side, we have neighbors too and I don't want to bother them. I am very agonized. What should I do? I talked to Bhaiji at the gurughar and he said bring them to gurughar, don't keep them at your house. It is beadbi. Maybe all of us Sikhs should live in either single story houses or two story houses where we keep Guru Sahib's gutka sahibs on second floor. But what do we do about drunks who drive along the road besides our building...
  7. Thanks StartStriker. I didn't know about that. The point I was trying to make is that marrying within own caste is not an anomaly and our Gurus have frequently done it. Secondly the questions the girls asked about her potential marriage to ramgharia boy and all the challenges that go with it, I would say listen to parents. Gurus spoke against caste system in bani and socially they followed the traditions too, so there is nothing wrong if girls listens to her parents. She would not be violating any basic priciple. Maybe my views are not acceptable to everybody but I am looking from the perspective of a parent and someone who has walked the talk.

  9. I agree no twelfth Guru. If people have to call Ravidass Bhagat as Guru, tell them to go their own way, keep their own book, not our Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. They don't prey on our ignorance, they just overrule what Guru Sahib has dictated us i.e. Guru Manyo Granth. And with that Guru Sahib has stopped all lineage of Gurus. Tomorrow these people would say make Ravidass first Guru as he was older than Satguru Nanak Dev Ji. Where would it stop? As they say, "if you are in Rome, do as the Roman do". If they want to keep Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Raviadss temples then they should stop calling Ravidass as Guru. There is one and only one Guru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, yugon-yug atal. WJKK WJKF
  10. Brother, this is the problem. I know caste system exists and if we have to remove this ill from Sikhi and if someone says that it exists then why do you start calling names? Do you not know that here in UK, in India there are so many killings in the name of caste system in Punjab itself. I am not saying they are right. Int he context of this discussion, I am just saying as a parent or what a parent feels when they look for a potential son-in-law or daughter-in-law. Caste does play very importnt role still and it has always played an important role. I am realistic. If both parent had no issues then no issues and one set of parents has issues then why not guide someone to chose a path which is better. That's it. Bhul chuk muaf veerji WJKK WJKF

Gangu Brahmin was indeed Guru Sahib's rasoia, who was a brahmin and who cheated Guru Sahib by handing over two sahibjaadaes of Guru Sahib to Mughals. And there were lot of Mazhabis in Guru Sahib ladli fauj. And Guru Sahibs married into Khatri caste. Please don't call names and please let's discuss on the topic.
  12. This is completely incompatible with Sikhi and should not be allowed. It has already happened and happening more. I don't have concern if these people call Ravidass Bhagat as Guru or Satguru or anything else but not in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. When Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji's parkash is in the Gurughar, how can anyone else be addressed as Guru. Our jathebandis should ask Ravdass people to follow their own book if they want to have their own Gurus. Singhs should make judgement if parkash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is allowed in those places where in presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, someone else is addressed as Guru. I have full respect for Bhagat Ravdass Ji's bani but he is not our Guru. Either we listen to Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji's aadesh/order or start making or allow others making their own Gruus in presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Guru Sahib has clearly stated "Bani Bhagat Ravidass Ji ki"
  13. Please don't make it a caste issue. The concern is to make sure that girl doesn't have hardships in life later on. Girls boys fall into relationships and it is an old phenomenon but parents who have already been through that stage of life know better. I am sure it is natural concern. Our Guru Sahibs maintained these traditions of marrying within the case. It is nothing wrong they did. It is just natural that you want to find a life partner who can identity with the same environment you live in. Please don't divert it to reflect it as caste discrimination. I go o Gurughar and sit and eat along with low caste and patit sikhs (mona sikhs) or anybody else. That is my dharmic tradition where Guruji has left no scope for caste system.   14. I am not casteist mate. I am just trying to say that parents look for good life for their kids and have walked the talk before they talk. In the case of this girl, they are only trying to protect her from the hardships may face due to a situation that be avoided now.
  15. Yes you re right. What I meant by Gursikh is one who follows Rehit even though he/she is not fully Amritdhari or may be. You are right it happens in some other places also but it hurts us and should not be acceptable.
