  1. Because arranged marriages between two from the same community are so succesful? None the less, Im glad this was stopped. If you want to marry outside your religion, go get a court marriage. Hate these liberals trying to enforce their views on religios institutions.
  2. That man wasn't eldery, and he was given 2 previous warnings to stop his activities. But this is great news, kid must feel great knowing at least someone out there is looking out for sikh. Should keep an eye on these kids, after being humilated they may seek revenge.
  3. Are you from BC or just making up what you hear? As someone born and raised here, I've met a handful of guys who talk like they're black, and they're usually not well accepted. There wasnt a tiny spec of "black" in Johal or Buttar. Also, most of these dealers are not "fresh off the boat," very few are. You've heard incorrect lol. Nor are they considered low in general, but obviously these 18-19 year old kids will be low, I don't know many 18 year old mob bosses. Like many others in here, you have no clue what you're talking about. Which ghetto are you from btw? I'm willing to bet a lot of the kids involved are tougher than most of the guys hiding behind a screen on here, after having grown up with them. Too many people here going off on "what I heard."
  4. For the record, I am not from the UK, so I am not extremely familiar with the politics there. But, I have not heard of Sikh-Edl clashes ever up until now, where did these clashes take place? I've only seen him praising Sikhs, I'd call his leadership skills into question regarding members of organization opposing Sikhs, but wouldn't say he is a bad person himself. I've got zero problem with someone who opposes Islamic extremism and doesn't throw Sikhs in the same pile.
  5. From what I have seen, it sure does seem like a muslim problem, at least in the UK. Tommy Robinson seems like a good man to me, he seems to support Sikhs too, but instead most Sikhs want to chose sides with the enemy over him.
  6. My thinking was that these people may act up because they know there will be little to no consequences, the authorities sure won't do much. But if vigilante justice occured, may send a message to other guys. In that part of the world, western morals are useless.
  7. Parents cant supervise their kids 24/7, plus kids in the villages run around alone all day. I don't expect nearly as much of a backlash, bunch of liberal losers! I assume they will once ID's are confirmed. Someone with Sikh Channel released it, this likely took place in Amritsar. They could be sikh or hindu, god knows, no kara visible on any of their wrists however, don't know about India but most here wear a kara. I don't expect Badal or any jathedaars to speak out on this, but yet when the video of the Sikh child being bullied on the bus was released all the major Punjab heads were trying to tell lecture America.
  8. Watch the 20 minute documentary on youtube, search "sikh reference library." Jathedaar Vedanti, if I recall correctly, also provides a similar story that the Granths werent burnt, but taken to Delhi.
  9. nothing lol, what can you do about it even? So many posters in this thread fantasizing about a world police force of Singhs, but we can't even protect ourselves in Punjab.
  10. Let's see if they're will be an equal amount of outrage for this as there was for the pakhandi getting beaten. How low have Sikhs fallen that in even Punjab they are the victims often? Can't even defend ourselves, all we can do is whine about our "sentiments." Had it been 1983, these losers would have been dealt with already.
  11. There is the muslim way of bashing, and then the proper way brother. Its ok giving constructive criticism, but just hating will land Sikhs in the same boat as the Islamists. You seem like a heated chardhi kala singh to me though, I get your views, but you can and easily will be misunderstood.
  12. I'm not familar with the process, how are those singhs selected for Amrit Samagams? But surely someone will have to choose which 5 singhs from the community meet the "requirements" the most, as there is bound to be more than 5. Would it not be the community who picks? I don't think democracy itself is a problem, its the lack of requirements. I've seen a few posts from StarStriker bashing the UK now, thankfully he's not as bad as those Islamists posted on Londons street trying to enforce Shariah over British law.
  13. Not entirely, none the less though, aj kal no ones fight for righteous causes. Seen "Singhs" wearing chola sahibs, dumallay outright say they have lives to lead and would not fight for a cause.
  14. You have no clue whats going on or why this is all happening.
  15. Why do you think they pose any harm to you? They have issues amongst themselves and keep it that way. No reason for you to hate on them or prepare to fight with them.
  16. You really think these kids will listen to gurdwara committees/organization? most of whom are corrupted. They'd laugh in your faces.
  17. I commend Raj Kakra for his efforts in making films that give the Sikhs a voice, but if I had to give a completely unbiased review of the film, I would rate it low. The movie had little substance, not much of a plot/storyline, could have been done in much less than 2+ hours, and the suspense music every minute or two sure gets annoying. The CGI and action towards the end of the movie was horrible. In terms of watchability, I'd put Punjab 1984 much further ahead of it, despite that films subtle yet not so subtle maligning of the Shaheeds.
  18. So he was punished for speaking his views that certain others didn't agree with? Sounds like something I'd expect from Islamists. Everyone should be free to speak their mind on a discussion board.
  19. Like i've said we were a much more capable and stronger people under the gurus and even in the 80s. We could defend ourselves and others. Unlike today. Also, its not about getting favours in return. My view is lets be able to stand on our own two feet before making futile attempts to help others. Also, at a certain point it just becomes foolish to continue helping someone who keeps backstabbing you.
  20. Sikhs did indeed have issues then, but in those days we also had tons of great leadership, unlike today where we have 0 leadership and 0 unity and are much easier of a target. It is not a game of winning/losing, but instead about survival. I don't see how helping others will mean we won't die out, till day what has it gotten Sikhs? Nothing wrong with taking some time to solve our own problems, and then help others when we are also in better shape to do so. Exactly what I was saying earlier, we can go around helping everyone possible, pretending everything is fine and dandy, but in the end we get a slap in the face. But it's still not enough for most sikhs to wake up. We need to put the effort elsewhere or else Sikhi will be gone soon.
  21. I'm generalising Sikhs? Not at all brother, I know some are anti-Islamic, and yet some aren't. I myself am not racist, but just prefer looking out for Sikhs before anyone else. Let the muslims deal with the Gujrat issue, we have our own problems to solve first.
  22. So many Sikhs jumping to be brothers with Muslims, trying to get Modi punished, I guess Saharanpur didn't get the message through to the wilfully blind.
  23. Nihangs of aj kal seem like they've been sleeping for past couple of decades. This is just pathetic though, a Hindu controlling our takht. The future looks very bleak.
