What do you mean that Whaeguru itself came as "guru nanak dev ji", do you mean literally or metaphorically? I mean aren't we all part of Whaeguru and we came from it.

I am just saying this, we need to reform Sikhism, and thats simple. Another Singh Sabha movement, I mean people say it all of the time, but the things people hope aren't going to happen. The SGPC are just gonna sit there racking money, and not going to do anything for Sikhi. The thing that pissed me off is that they don't do anything aganist Punjabi music that promote drugs, alcohol, abusing women, and such, but they get angry over Nanak Shah Fakir that was going to help people learn about Sikhi. All I know is that the SGPC only cares about self interest thats it. I mean the good thing that the SGPC did is the movement called one gurdwara one village, and its been working. Some pinds have one Gurdwara now which is good.

I am just curious regarding Sikhi, I am not having doubts and such. I mean questioning is a healthy thing as our entire religion was caused due to Guru Nanak Dev Ji questioning the superstition of the Hindu practices such as the worshipping of idols, sacrifices, and caste discrimination; however, I found that there are contradictions to this as people claim of miracles that Guru Nanak Dev Ji squeezed Milk and Blood from the Roti. Managed to capture a giant boulder with his one hand, and turn a bitter nut to sweet for Bhai Mardana. Another issue was that most of these miracles were written decades after his death and were composed as Janamshakis. Which is why I am concerned that Sikhism is going at a wrong path with people not understanding the truth and logic within Sikhi. I understand the reason why it happened since we abandoned our Gurudwara's, fleeing from Mughal forces while the Udasi's or Hindu Mahants took control of it. I feel that is the reason why we follow these fake superstitions due to these Brahmins as in the 1900s. There were reports of Brahmins picking up water and spitting it, women couldn't go inside and such. This issue still happens in the Golden Temple as we still pour milk on the floors. The milk can be used for starving children, and these are the exact same practices that the Mahants did. Another issue is with the Nihangs who do a lot of things that are against Sikhism. Such as sacrificing goats, worshipping weapons, and getting high on "bhang". Isn't this the exact same stuff that these Hindu's do. We also put garlands on the portraits of our Guru's which is blatant idolatry. I believe yes, we should respect the Guru's, but not through false rituals. We also do the exact same ritualistic things with the SGGS by putting it to "Bed", covering it with clothes and such. We are pretty much worshipping it as an idol. It appears that Sikhism has been influenced heavily by these Mahants. I understand that Kala Afghana is a controversial figure in the Sikh community, he has a lot of true points that Sikhism has been corrupted by "Brahmanvad". I feel that if we don't deal with these issues an entire generation of Sikhi will be left in doubt and confusion. Also, when I was a younger kid. My parents used to tell me not to eat meat on Tuesdays which is also a Hindu superstition. Through ritual actions, God cannot be won over; As you know these threads have been made a bunch of times, but I hope that the younger generations like me will realize, as I am 16 myself.

I don't know why there is suffering in this cold world, I see many innocent people dying even though they were religiously devout to God such as the 1984 Anti Sikh Riots. Why would God or Whaeguru do such a heinous thing to cause suffering and hell such as the 1984 Anti Sikh riots.

That's true regarding the decorated Kara's, I see a lot of Kara's with people's last names on it. Its just a disrespect to the Kara itself, I also see a lot of people with gold Kara's too.

The only way to counter these Christain Missionaries is to form a new Singh Sabha like in the past, we gotta help the marginalized Sikh's like the Dalit Sikhs who have been discriminated by Upper Class Sikhs and have been neglected. The reason why the Christain's are successful because they are aggressive, they send missionaries and promote their religion through many means, and that Dalit Sikh's are seeking help and are converting because they assume that the Christain's will promise them better education, supplies, and etc.

I had these type of philosophical questions 3 years ago, but I am just curious and for some reason, I am still thinking about these questions. People often say we are living in Maya an Illusion, while in Sikhism we do believe in this Maya, but we don't actually believe that the Universe is fake, but created in God, but the only truth is in Whaeguru; however, there are Maya that trap us from reaching Whaeguru such as greed, lust, ego, etc, but I was wondering what does Sikhism view reality as?

Due to the fact that Hinduism was influencing Sikhism greatly during that time, and in fact there was caste in Sikhism during those days, the British had data of the population of certain caste of Sikhs like Jatts, and etc, during the time when they were carving Hindustan, the Mazhabi Sikhs wanted their own land, Majabistan , it also seemed that Master Tara Singh must've been responsible for causing the Dalits to not convert to Sikhism. As Tara was a Hindu Khatri Malholtra before he became a Sikh, and around that time Khatri's were discriminatory and had Hindu Practices. HI understand I have been making a bunch of forum posts which might be annoying, but I was wondering what is Sikh's view on the multiverse, I mean it doesn't deny or agree with it, and the Guru Granth only mentions multiple galaxies, solar systems, and such, but no Universe's, but do you think in Whaeguru's Hukam there could be multi universes is Sikhism and its views on Reality is it an illusion, and that the Consciousness make's this illusion and that consciousness is an illusion? So, in the past Robert Lanza was well known for his book and his theory of Biocentrism, Robert Lanza is a well-known scientist, and he had a theory in which consciousness created the universe and not the other way around, and in a way it connects with Sikhi, and eastern religions. Robert Lanza states that there is some form of afterlife, ie. Reincarnation, in which once we die we are reborn in a different universe, and such (multiverse). He also states that Death is an illusion, and such, I just feel it connects with Sikhism since we believe in Reincarnation like if we do not do good deeds, and recognize god, then we will be reborn again, and again. That makes a lot of a good sense, and I was thinking of your statement when we have a relationship with Waheguru its personal, but when you remove all of that in a way Whaeguru is impersonal.

So I know that we are a Monotheistic Faith, but I know that we don't believe in the Abrahamic View of a god which is that he a guy with a beard who lives in a sky, but we believe in a god that is formless, timeless, genderless, and is everywhere, but I am just wondering if we believe in an Impersonal God, or a Personal God? I know that we don't fully believe in an anthropomorphic god where its an actual person, but in a way, we have a relationship with God like a friend, brother, mother, father, sister, etc; however, we describe God in a Pantheistic sense, like for example like everything in the universe is made up of Waheguru like matter, time, galaxies, planets, and etc, in a way its like God is the Universe. I am just confused whether we are Panentheists or Pantheists regarding Whaeguru, and whether we believe that Whaeguru is Impersonal or Personal to us or its both like a mix.

You got a good point, and I think that I was thinking about, the rituals that don't benefit god, I am aganist that, but if there are rituals that are there to seek out god in a good way then sure.

I would only do Matha Tek to the Guru Granth Sahib, and thats it. I would only touch my elders feet as a sign of respect, I wouldn't touch any godmens or prophets who say they represent god. Infact god has no representatives, washing feet, I think its a sign of respect when you go into the Gurdwara.
