Even though many Sant's of Sant Samaj & Damdami Taksal Chief Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa are protesting, some people of this forum are still unhappy. What is surprising to see, if the fact that non of the Anti - Sant Samaj and Anti - Damdami Taksal people have done ANYTHING what so ever against "Ram Rahim". People of this forum expect the Sant's and Damdami Taksal to do things over night, if these people are so concerned we are sure you have contacts in Punjab and India why dont you get it done? Some people of this forum expect Damdami Taksal Chief Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa to change Punjab overnight and do what Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale did, the times then were different, Sant Ji had support of the Sikh Naujwaans, who were so pure they were ready to do anything for Sikhi Shaan. A topic was started regards the protest, but people turned it into a Sant Bashing and Taksal Bashing Forum. WAKE UP! If you can't do anything about it, dont slander the people that are doing something! As for Baba Harnam Singh stepping back because of meetings with Sukhbir Badal? THE REAL FACT was that everybody know that Taksal does not use the "Dhoof" you purchase in normal store and markets, they use a herbal made using fruits & coals, whilst doing this Santhiya was happening the Gurdwara Gurdarshan Parkash and the Singh who was lighting it put too many coals on which created a lot of smoke NOT HAVANS! Damdami Taksal and Gurmat Sidhant Parchrik Sant Samaj announce further protests in Punjab Damdami Taksal chief and Sant Samaj President Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa announced further protests against the dera chief ram rahim. The protests will be held outside the main offices of administration of Haryana and Punjab for a 11 days. The protests will be led by 51 Sant's at a time, if the administration still failed to take any action against ram rahim, then Sant Samaj would take a firm stand and taken any actions necessary. For his actions of against the Sikh religion and the killing of innocent Sikhs, Ram Rahim nor his followers will never be forgiven. Sant Baba Baljit Singh Dadu Wale and Jatha Booked Sirsa rail roko protest led by Sant Baba Baljit Singh Khalsa of Gurdwara Dadu Sahib and their Jatha have been booked for disturbing the peace by protesting on the 25th July 2008. Sirsa Administration and authorities filed a case with the Sirsa police against Baba Baljit Singh and demanded his arrest immediatly for disturbing peace and disrupting trains on the day of protest. Sant Samaj and Taksal taking a sharp notice of this demanded the case be scrapped, and exclaimed the fact that the dera chief is free to roam around and kill innocent Sikhs still no action is taken against him, but if Sikhs protest without hurting anyone, in defence of their beliefs and religion then they are worthy of being arrested and charged? They added "if the authorities fail to take action against him (ram rahim), then the Sikh Nation would take its own actions against the culprit, as they have been doing in past and present history".

The Morcha continues in Fatehghar Sahib, Sirhind station, the main link to Delhi. The morcha/protest from Sirsa station was ended early only after the arrival Jathedar Balwant Singh Nandghar (Jathedar of Takhat Sri Damdami Sahib), after he was pressurised by the police and authorites he asked the Sikh Sangat at Sirsa under the leadership of Sant Baba Baljit Singh Khalsa (Dadu Wale) to end the protest. The morcha in Fatehghar Sahib continues into the late evening with more and more Sangat gathering, Damdami Taksal Mukhi Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa also took langar with them, so the Sangat that were present in the protest had Guru's langar, but not only stopping there, Baba Harnam Singh also provided langar to the passangers in the trains who were from all different religions. When Baba Harnam Singh asked the passangers in the trains that were stopped by the Singhs, how the Singhs have treated them, passangers replied, "we may be held up, delayed and very very late, but after seeing the seva you have done for us and your love for your faith, we stand with you at this painful time, and demand arrest of the Sauda Saadh and action to be taken against him". It is at Fatehghar Sahib Sirhind Junction that this main line splits from Delhi up to Jammu and towards Sri Amritsar, this is where Sikh Organisations are mainly protesting. MOST Sikh Organisations have worked together and supported this programme fully.

Trains stopped in Punjab over Dera chief row Train services in Punjab were on Wednesday suspended following blocking of tracks at several places by Sikhs demanding arrest of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh in the wake of the Mumbai firing incident. The Sikh protesters squatted on the track at several places, including Amritsar, Sirhind, Malout, Abohar, Sangrur and Rajpura in Punjab to protest against the killing of a community member allegedly by a body guard of the Dera chief in Mumbai last week. The 'rail roko' call given by Damdami Taksal and certain radical Sikh organisations asked the protesters to remain peaceful. "At least eight super-fast and five passenger trains have been cancelled for the day. Several other trains were being terminated short of their destination in order to ensure the safety of the passengers and rail property," Divisional Railway Manager, Ambala H K Jaggi stated. Thousands Sikhs led by Damdami Taksal chief Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa, Chief of SAD (Amritsar Presidium) Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu, Khalsa Action Committee and President of Sikh Students Federation (Mehta faction) Bhai Paramjit Singh Khalsa were staging a sit-in on the tracks at Madhopur village near Sirhind. The rail line connects Delhi with Amritsar and Jammu. Punjab Police sources said in Chandigarh that though the movement of trains had come to a halt, the situation was peaceful. Sikh protesters block trains in Punjab Demanding the immediate arrest of Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Ram Rahim, Sikh protesters blocked trains in Punjab on Wednesday. The Amritsar Shatabdi and the Sachkhand Express was stopped at the Amritsar Railway Station. According to reports, thousands of protesters have blocked the Amritsar-Jalandhar rail line near Walla village. Sikhs also held demonstrations in Haryana demanding action against the Dera chief. The killing of a Sikh allegedly by the Dera chief's security guard in Mulund sparked major protests by the community in Mumbai. The protests have since spilled over to Punjab, Haryana and Jammu. Though the situation has largely been peaceful, Sikhs have staged large-scale demonstrations in several parts of the country since then. Protesters have repeatedly warned that things will get out of control if no action is taken against the Dera chief.

Please refrain and find out the full details before making such statements, nobody bowed infront of anybody. The Sant Samaj was stopped from going there, then the ENTIRE Sant Samaj made that decision not just Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa. The point now being that no ones asking anybody to expect anything, but instead of sitting around in a dera, or disputing silly issues, Sant Samaj and Damdami Taksal Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa are doing something about it. There are many other leaders and organisations who could take action, easy sitting abroad saying "he should do that", or "they should do that". Go into Punjab and see how the fire is burning. If we cannot do something, then at least support those who are, if we cant do something, or dont want to do anything, its best to shut up and let them do their actions.

The Sant Samaj and Damdami Taksal can issue statement saying we will got "hunt and kill" nindaks of the Sikh Panth but, remember one thing, Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa and other Kharhkoo Singh's could make these statements when they had the appropriate following behind them, this due to the Government of India thinking the consequences of arresting Sant Ji or any other Kharhkoo Singh and the uprise it would / did cause. We hear made-up stories and set out to believe this, when 99% of the time the story is wrong. If one Sikh leader or head of an organisation goes to meet SAD Badal or Sukhbir or congress we think they must be in on it together? Its a sad fact but one Jathebandi needs a excuse to cause controversy and keep the other Jathebandi split, we will not mention names but it is a very sad fact. The time has now changed, but the feeling and thinking inside "Panthic" thinking Sikhs has not. Its easy labelling anybody and somebody an agent of the GOI and of Parkash Badal or SAD but the people levelling these alligations, themselves have done very little or nothing to support the cause. If somebody / anybody does speak up against the Sauda Saadh and others, should be fully supported by the Sikh Sangat. At least those people of the Sant Samaj and Taksal are doing something towards the situation rather than sitting behind a computer screen levelling alligations against people. Its clear that in this day and age every Sikh Organisation should fully input their resources into making sure Sauda Saadh gets what he deserves, not only that but every other pakhandi saadh and pakhandi gurus deras should be sealed before they also get out of hand, whether it be sauda saadh, nirankari, naamdhari, radha soami, bhaniara wala or ashutosh nurmahal wala or darshan daas. Damdami Taksal, Gurmat Sidhant Parcharik Sant Samaj, Khalsa Action Committee, Shiromani Akali Dal (Panch Pardaani) and Sikh Students Federation will continue working together with Guru Kalgidhar Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib's Kirpa.

In the meeting which was presided over by Sant Samaj President and Damdami Taksal Chief Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa and General Secretary Sant Baba Paramjit Singh Mahilpur Wale, the Sant Samaj said that only the resolution passed by the 5 Singh Sahibaans of the 5 Takhats of the Sikh Panth would be acceptable to the Nation. The actions taken by Takhat Sri Patna Sahib Jathedar Singh Sahib Bhai Iqbal Singh and Takhat Sri Hazur Sahib Jathedar Singh Sahib Bhai Kulwant Singh to discard the decisions taken at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib on 6th of June 2008 were supported an endorsed by Sant Samaj. They thanked the two Singh Sahibaans to not accept and discard any resolutions of this sort. Sant Samaj stated that no-one group of or hand picked Singh Sahibaans could make any decisions of Sri Dasam Granth. They also condemned the humiliation of Singh Sahib Bhai Iqbal Singh at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib by an SGPC employee, as respecting a Singh Sahibaan is everyones duty. The Sants said that it was a shame Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Jathedar never took notice of the bad wording Prof. Darshan Singh used against Sri Dasam Granth, yet Takhat Sri Patna Sahib excommunicated Prof. Darshan Singh from the Sikh Panth. The Jathedars of the Takhats could only be selected and removed by the Sikh nation in Sarab Sanmati not hand picked by any political leader. If the problems between the Singh Sahibaans were not cleared up the Sant Samaj would organise a samagam to sort the differences and discuss the issues the Singh Sahibaans were not agreeing on.

In a meeting held today at Gurdwara Babe Shaheedan, Sarmastpur - Jalandhar, under the presidence of Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa (Chief of Damdami Taksal) the Sant Samaj declared that unless action was not taken till 24th June, all rail connections from Amritsar to Delhi would be cut. Baba Harnam Singh stated that last year on the directions of the Sauda Saadh Shaheed Bhai Kamaljit Singh Ji was killed, now a Sikh by the name of Balkar Singh has been killed on the same directions. He said that action should have been taken a long time ago on the Saadh. Baba Harnam Singh exclaimed the fact that Sikhs are still detained in jails across India, with fake cases against them and some without cases registered at all, then why is this Saadh and his followers who arrested who have the blood of these Shaheed Singhs on their hands?

Chowk Mehta (June 21, 2008) Ultimatum by Damdami Taksal: Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa, head of Damdami Taksal today issued an ultimatum till 24th June, 2008 to the Government to arrest dera sauda head. He said warned that if the demand is not met with the the prescribed time limit a public protest shall be launched and railway traffic shall be blocked. Chief of Damdami Taksal Baba Harnam Singh in a meeting held with various Sikh religious organizations at Jallandhar `has demanded immediate arrest of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh along with his body guard for allegedly killing a Sikh at Mumbai last evening. Khalsa said that if the killer of Bhai Balkar Singh was not arrested by June 24, all the Sikh organizations would interrupt rail traffic and no train would be allowed to move from Amritsar to Delhi on June 25. Khalsa informed that Rail Traffic would be interrupted on June 25 from morning 8.00 a.m to 7.00 p.m and further line of action would be announced in the evening on same day on June 25 against the Dera Sacha Sauda chief. The Taksal has called to entire Sikh Nation to leave personal differences behind, unite and focus on issues affecting the Sikh Nation. Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Panch Pardhani) and Sikh Students Federation has supported this announcement.

Dont believe what you read on websites and in other places, Giani Iqbal Singh Ji cleared his stand on what the "spokesman" and other papers tried to frame him with. Then the issue of RSS? in a meeting WHERE RSS people were present Giani Iqbal Singh Ji spoke out in the meeting OPPOSING THE RSS, but these things arent brought infront of the Sikh Sangat. BADAL wants Giani Iqbal Singh out the rest of the Jathedar's eg: Joginder Vedanti, Tirlochan Singh & Balwant Singh Nandgarh (PRO BADAL group) want him out, only Takhat Sri Hazur Sahib Jathedar are ok with Giani Iqbal Singh. And milk washed Mr. Vedanti can talk, what issue has vedanti solved in the last 8 years as Jathedaar? What stand has he taken? The meeting of Akal Takht, presided over by Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti here yesterday, had accused Giani Iqbal Singh of “misusing” his authority as Jathedar, Patna Sahib. Peeved over the decision of the Sikh clergy, Giani Iqbal Singh said he would bring out a White Paper on the alleged decision taken at Akal Takht in the past five years to expose Jathedar Vedanti. Jathedar Iqbal Singh alleged that he had been under tremendous pressure from Jathedar Vedanti and his personal assistant Prithipal Singh Sandhu, while taking important Panthic decisions. He alleged that he was humiliated by SGPC employees, including its task force, in front of the Akal Takht secretariat at the behest of Jathedar Vedanti, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and the RSS lobby, as he wanted to take some drastic decisions against them on the basis of complaints being received at Takht Patna Sahib. He said the proposed White Paper would force the SGPC to sack Jathedar Vedanti. He claimed that he had enough material against Jathedar Vedanti and some of his relatives. It would be an eye-opener for the Sikh Panth. Questioning the Gurmatta, Giani Iqbal Singh said the Sikh high priests of Takht Patna Sahib had excommunicated Prof Darshan Singh, a former Jathedar of Akal Takht, for questioning the authenticity of the Dasam Granth. It is reliably learnt that the pro-Badal management of Takht Patna Sahib may sack Giani Iqbal Singh as Jathedar if he convenes any meeting of the Sikh clergy at Takht Patna Sahib to embarrass the SGPC and the SAD. The management committee of Takht Patna Sahib has 15 members, out of which two are dead. President of the committee Mohinder Singh Romana and some office-bearers are confidants of Chief Minister Badal. However, Giani Iqbal Singh alleged that the Takht management had no authority to remove him as Jathedar.

MARCH AGAINST DERA CHHOOTHA SAUDA CHIEF Sri Akal Takht Sahib Ex-Jathedar picked up, freed, then re-arrested Jalandhar, The police picked up a former Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Singh Sahib Bhai Jasvir Singh Khalsa ‘Rode’ from his residence situated at New Hardayal Nagar locality today. Bhai Jasvir Singh was detained for several hours reportedly in connection with the proposed protest march of the Khalsa Action Committee towards Salabatpura Dera in Bathinda district on February 10. Talking to The Tribune soon after his release, Bhai Jasvir Singh said several policemen led by CIA staff in charge inspector Harinder Singh swooped on his house around 5a.m. He was taken to the office of the CIA staff at Patel Chowk. “After keeping me there for several minutes, I was taken to some other place where SP (D) PS Parmar was present.” Singh Sahib said. “I was asked about the route of the proposed march and other related things about the march.” “After detaining me for several hours, the police dropped me at my house”, he added. When contacted SSP Arpit Shukla denied that Bhai Jasvir Singh had been picked up and detained for some hours. He was just called at the CIA staff office and later allowed to go, he added. One of Bhai Jasvir Singh Khalsa’s supporters Baljit Singh Brar, editor of daily Aj Di Awaaz, informed about the police action to the President, the PM, some SC and HC judges and the Punjab Governor by sending e-mails and SMSes. Within a few minutes, M.P. Singh, secretary to Governor S.F. Rodrigues, called Brar up and inquired about the incident. Later, Bhai Jasvir Singh was released and rearrested the following day at 5am from his residence. Singh Sahib was held in judicial remand and later sent to jail. Bhai Daljit Singh arrested, ex-envoy Khalsa under house arrest Ludhiana, Three days before a proposed march by the Khalsa Action Committee to Salbatpoora against Dera Sacha Sauda head, the Punjab Police in an early morning swoop today arrested Sikh leader Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu from Ludhiana besides putting Bhai Harinder Singh Khalsa, former ambassador to Norway and ex-chairman, National SC-ST Commission, under house arrest at his residence in Barrewal here. Several other leaders and activists of the Khalsa Action Committee were also arrested and sent to jail in judicial custody. Bhai Bittu was sent to jail till February 14. Police officials said action had been taken against them apprehending law and order problem due to the scheduled march to Salabatpoora. SSP R. K. Jaiswal said he had been arrested under Section 107/,151 of the Cr PC. Others taken into custody were Bhai Darshan Singh, general secretary-Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) (Panch Pradhani), Bhai Hardeep Singh, Bhai Palwinder Singh, Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema. Bhai Harinder Singh Khalsa said he was put under house arrest after he refused to accompany a police team that knocked at his door early today. He said the march was peaceful aiming at urging the Punjab government to ban entry of the Dera head into Punjab. However, the police action had proved the Badal government was helping growth of such deras. Khalsa march foiled; Khalsa Action Committee detained Bhai Rupa/Mehraj (Bathinda), Hundreds of activists of the Khalsa Action Committee (KAC) were detained today after they tried to take out a march near Salabatpura, the headquarters of Dera Sacha Sauda in Punjab. The police had made tight security arrangements to prevent the march but the KAC activists changed the venue of the march at the last minute from Bhai Rupa village to Gurdwara Chota Gurusar in Mehraj village. When the KAC activists tried to take out the vehicle carrying Sri Guru Granth Sahib from the Chota Gurusar Gurdwara premises, the police intercepted them. The Panj Piaras were detained and the Palki was taken in possession by the police personnel who blocked their way by parking a police bus and a jeep in the middle of the way. Despite the police having turned the villages in the area into a fortress, and motorists being thoroughly frisked, around 70 KAC activists arrived on a tractor-trailer and joined the activists already present there. After some time, around 20 more KAC men arrived at the venue on a jeep. The police arrested them. Showing resentment over the denial of permission to take out Sri Guru Granth Sahib in a procession, hardliner Sikhs delivered speeches and raised anti-government slogans outside the gurdwara. They accused that Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal of supporting the Dera Sacha Sauda chief for political gains. Meanwhile, in Dhapali village, about 10 km from Mehraj, another religious march was attempted. However, the police stopped the religious procession near Bhai Rupa village. But, after discussions with the leader of the KAC group, Bhai Boota Singh, the police allowed only the Panj Piaras and Guru Granth Sahib Ji to proceed to Gurdwara Mansarovar in Bhai Rupa village with four other KAC leaders. The police refused permission to other KAC activists assembled there to join the march. Sadhu Singh of Gumti Kalan village, along with 20 KAC activists, was arrested as he lodged a protest in Bhai Rupa village against the detention of the activists by the police. They wanted to join the march. The KAC activists at Gurdwara Mansarovar deferred the march in the afternoon and placed the Bir inside the gurdwara. After passing a resolution to boycott Badal, the KAC activists moved towards the village. But, immediately, the police, under orders from district magistrate Rahul Tewari, arrested the KAC activists, including some women. Convener of KAC Bhai Mohkam Singh, who was arrested, said: “The march was not attempted from this place only. Our activists started the march from various other places, but the police detained them. Despite the tight security arrangements, many of us gathered here which indicates the failure of the administration.” Jathedar Bhai Kumikar Singh, the member of the presidium of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) (Panch Pardhani), said: “The police personnel themselves wanted to disturb peace. When we asked them to remove the bus from near the gurdwara, a senior police official suggested that we break its window panes.” About the arrest of the KAC activists, the district magistrate said: “They have been detained as a preventive measure. Moreover, they defied the order issued under Section 144 of the CrPC. A case would be registered only against those leaders of radical Sikhs who did not pay heed to our instructions.” When SSP Naunihal Singh was asked about the intelligence lapses, he said: “Earlier, we had the information that the march would begin from Bhai Rupa. So, we concentrated on the roads that lead to that village. But, they changed the venue. The KAC activists got only that much time which we took in deploying the force.” Mediapersons obstructed Vehicles of mediapersons, bearing the Press sticker on the windshields, were deflated and parked in a field some distance away from Gurdwara Chota Gurusar in an alleged attempt to prevent mediapersons from reaching the venue of the march. On being asked, district magistrate Rahul Tewari passed the buck on to the police officials and expressed regret.

In response to what does Taksal and Sant Samaj have to say, as you know, Baba Harnam Singh (Chief of Damdami Taksal) is also the President of Sant Samaj & both Taksal and Sant Samaj stand firm with the Jathedar's decision. Taksal believes there should be a Sikh Calendar, but the current Nanakshahi Calendar is full of mistakes. In a statement issued by Sant Samaj's General Secretary Sant Baba Sukhchain Singh Ji after reviewing the Nanakshahi Calendar Sant Samaj found too many mistakes for this Calendar to be implemented. One big mistake included Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj's Avtaar Purab coming on the same date as Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji's Shaheedi Divas which was then changed and another Hukamnama was issued at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, making a mockery of Sri Akal Takhat Sahibs Hukamname. Damdami Taksal & Sant Samaj stand firm with the Sarb-uchta of Takhat Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, but have no-confidence in its Jathedar. In 1999 you probably remember, Damdami Taksal, Sant Samaj & Sri Akal Takhat Sahib's then Jathedar Singh Sahib Bhai Ranjit Singh Ji (all in unity) took out their own nagar kirtan and 300 years celebrations and on the other side SGPC and Parkash Singh Badal and BJP took out their own celebrations.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh In a statement issued to the press, Singh Sahib Giani Iqbal Singh Ji - Jathedar Takhat Sri Patna Sahib Ji has made it clear if he is summoned at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Ji by Bhai Joginder Singh Vedandi and the other 4 Singh Sahibaans on the grounds of Takhat Sri Patna Sahib issuing the Hukamnama for the Puraatan Maryada to be implicated once again in the Sikh Faith and in Sri Darbar Sahib Sri Harmandir Sahib & the rejection of the Nanakshahi Calendar, Jathedar Giani Iqbal Singh Ji will summon, Parkash Singh Badal, Avtar Singh Makkar and the Singh Sahibaans at Takhat Sri Patna Sahib Ji on their every mis-conduct in the Sikh Faith. Giani Iqbal Singh Ji has stated that the people who have made the problem between the Takhats worse are the Jathedaar's of the Takhat's in Punjab namely: Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti (Jathedar Sri Akal Takhat Sahib), Giani Balwant Singh Nandghar (Jathedar Takhat Sri Damdama Sahib), Jathedar Tirlochan Singh (Jathedar Takhat Sri Kesgarh Sahib). Giani Iqbal Singh has said when the Nanakshahi Calendar was issued, he was not even invited and this was issued swiftly all under political pressure. Both Takhat Sri Patna Sahib & Takhat Sri Hazur Sahib Ji expressed their protest against this Calendar, at the same time Sant Samaj and Damdami Taksal rejected this calendar too, and named this calendar the "Dhuke - shahi Calendar" (Calendar inplemented by force). Jathedar Iqbal Singh also stated that he nor Takhat Sri Hazur Sahib Ji has not been sent an invite to the meeting of the Sikh High Priests on the 5th February. Talking about Panthic Ekta Jathedar Ji said he is all for Panthic Ekta, but Puraatan (Original) Rehit Maryada must be re-implemented at all cost. Damdami Taksal & Sant Samaj firmly stand by Jathedar's Hukamnama and request the Sangat and Gurdwara's around the world to implement it without delay. We request the rest of the Sangat to support the Jathedar, otherwise like with Jathedar Singh Sahib Bhai Ranjit Singh Ji (Ex Jathedar Sri Akal Takhat Sahib) the SGPC will remove Singh Sahib Giani Iqbal Singh Ji off his post as Jathedar Sri Patna Sahib. If Jathedar Ji has spoken out against Badal & friends we should show solidarity with him. No one has the right of removing a Jathedar off his post or suspending him, on Sarbat Khalsa Samgam can change such posts, only Sarbat Khalsa can remove and replace Jathedar's.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh, It is correct, these big political players have turned Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee into a joke, but in this day and age and seeing what is happening in Punjab and seeing what is happening to the Sikh Nation, IF we select a Panthic/fierce person as President of it who is able to take a stand against the authorities, SGPC can achieve so much and the Panth will be backing them. Same as with the Singh Sahibaan the Jathedar Sahib of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Ji if the Jathedar took a stand, a proper Panthic stand, the Panth would support them 100%. So please give suggestions on who you would propose for: 1) Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib? 2) President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee?

Also if at the same time the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President were to be selected by the Panth who would you propose? 1) Who do you propose for Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib? 2) Who do you propose for President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee? Please be sensible. Waheguru if these two were the right Panthic people and worked together, it would blow a new life into the Sikh Nation. Please only give sensible answers! Damdami Taksal alongside other Panthic organisations including Sant Samaj, believe there is a need for a Sikh Calendar. BUT Not without consulting all Sikh organisations, how can you suddenly move a date from the 4th June to the 16th, now if the SGPC President & Co, Jathedar Sri Akal Takhat Sahib moving the date is fine, BUT if the Jathedar Of Takhat Sti Patna Sahib RE-instates the Old Calendar then he is wrong and worthy of being ex-communicated and it makes him a rss agent? The date of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji's Shaheedi fell on 4th June, now changed to the 16th June, so that when Sangat went to Sri Darbar Sahib on the 4th June, the picture and programme of 1984 would go through his/her mind, that on this day the dirty indian govt sent tanks in to kill the innocent Sangat who came to pay homage & respect to Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji on his Shaheedi Divas. SO if Jathedar Sri Patna Sahib RE-implements the OLD Calendar & Puraatan Rehit Maryada he is worthy of being ex-communicated, but then what does that make Parkash Badal, Avtar Singh Makkar, Joginder Singh Vedanti & Jagir Kaur worthy of and of which anti sikh organisation are they members of? These people who have turned the Sikh Faith upside down. There is a need for a Sikh calendar, theres no doubt about that, we are a separate Nation, we are a separate Race, but that Sikh Calendar must be made by all Sikh Jathebandian, not just by some person from Canada who suggests a few dates and SGPC passes it at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib. This is the same SGPC that was declared NOT the representitive body of the Sikh Nation in Sarbat Khalsa 1986. This is the same SGPC who's 10 members removed Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Singh Sahib Bhai Ranjit Singh. Where does that leave Sri Akal Takhat Sahib? 10 members of a committee have the guts and authority to remove the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Ji. If Singh's did get together and go to take over Sri Akal Takhat Sahib & SGPC, all the SGPC would do is alert the punjab police, CRP, BSF etc etc. and get the Singh's removed from the complex. In this day and age there is no point fighting over little issues, the problem is much much bigger.
