    Seriously??

The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said:

"Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats."

Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.

Yeah Dhadi and Kaweshria are known for joking around now and then.

the answer must be in Sukhmani paath, where you read about the slander.

also, be careful not to jump to conclusions.  a lot of people can relate to your situation.

at least you have a job.  and a lot of people hate their jobs.

shift work has benefits that a 9-5 does not, in terms of you can do things at times of days that others cannot.  warehouse job you can do simran or keep your mind free to think about things that interest you/your ambitions.  thats harder in office jobs etc where you have to use your mind more.

DISAGREE, ANY job done needs the mind set to it. So warehouse will employees be busy stacking / labeling? (Physical movement). I would say though, probably Gatehouse Security can do Naam Simran all night long.

a lot of people have not done well at their studies.  you persevered for six years- that shows grit, and you admit to plagiarism (rather then do wrong and then deny it)- that shows your are always improving your morals.

a lot of people have family problems and social problems.  you got through them all.  you are an intelligent person who can admit their faults and who looks for solutions.  give yourself some credit.  despair is not the answer.

imo, you sound like you have depression.  it must make you off-putting socially, maybe you say odd things without realising it and thats why your friends and cousins keep away form you.  there may be logical explanations for this.

God and Saints are merciful.  They are good and they will help you.  Don't despair.  Keep going for grace of God.  Sants do not have enemies.  They help anyone who wants help.

Look at life of bhagats, sants.  They did not slander any sants but had problems too.  Bhagat Prahlad's father tried to murder him and Bhagat Dhruv was insulted and rejected as a child.  Drupaadi had to undergo humiliation.

Also that paath- dokhee- that means someone who troubles (harrasses) a sant.  I do not think you are doing that the currently, right?  Its a warning to people who are currently doing that.  'dokhee' means pain, not slander ('nindya').  we should not do dokhee or nindya of anyone, sant or not.

  3. Japji Sahib can be done anytime within 24 hours, but ideal time is before breakfast.  Ardaas after is optional but if you can make it necessary will be ideal. When it comes to paat more the merrier.

Meat / alc should be in separate rooms to Gutke Sahibs. It is possible no matter how small the house. WAIT! Isn't all food in the kitchen??

You can still do paat after meat n alc. Nothing wrong there... just wash yer hands! (Obviously).

  4. You need to slow down and be calm.

My advise is, to make Degh Prashad at home then do Ardaas (with Bhog and take out 5 prashad in sarbh loh bowls). Following the Taksaal Rehat when making Degh is highly recommendable. During Ardaas ask for your desires.

First time things will go wrong / prashad is not fully cooked, burnt due to bhanda having a previous unwashed stain... but over time making Degh will improve. If you can't make it everyday then once a week. The recommendation is making degh once a month.

If you REALLY gun for it can even take your prepared prashad to Gurudwara then do the mandatory 40 stanzas of Anand Sahib in front of Guru Granth Sahib Jee follwed by Ardaas. The panj Prashad can be distributed to any five Singhs sat in Sangat (after taking it out in bowl but put it back in your main bhatta). Bringing your prepared degh is ideal at Amritvela as their will be less Sangat.

Home or Sangat, 5 Singhs will visit and eat the Prashad if everything is done correctly, in Maryaad and with Sharda.

  5. 4 days total.

First 3 days Akhand Paat for the auspicious occasion.  4th day Anand Karj followed by Kirtan, Katha and Guru ka Kangar.

In my attendance of 20+ weddings I have only seen ONE such wedding. Zero party... party brings meat, alcohol and bhangra / music.

  6. I can see this old post has popped up on feed.

I am 34 was 17 when I was blessed with Amrit. Due to my kacha (raw/ uncooked) jeevan I dwell on this; if I had not taken Amrit wouldn't I have enjoyed sex, going pubs and eating meat sometimes? All before the age of 25? Then take Amrit later on in life? And if you have indulged in such activities... ENJOY IT! Why worry about hell / heaven?

As an Amritdhari we have other responsibilities; reunion with God whilst in Grisht jeevan. But if you're Non Amritdhari why worry? JUST ENJOY!

  7. Was listening to Sant Ji's katha on youtube.

Sant ji stated apart from the traditional raags, there is nothing wrong if Kirtan is sung in other NON - Raags set up by our Guru Ji's.

His example: Think of poison in a bowl.  Drinking the poison then blaming the bowl is silly. The poison is bad not the bowl. Likewise, we will never call a bowl Amrit once it contains Amrit init. Sameway it's not the raags being good / bad... it's WHAT we put into those raags. How many times Kirtan was sung but on a track of sum Bollywood tune? It is happening in Gurudwara by Raagis! Youtube also has Kaweshri jatha singing history of 1984, on Dr Dre's - Still Dre track.

Rap instrumental/ Bolly tunes stand neutral. We can either put bad things and sing with our own remixes and lyrics... or we can recreate to sing Shabads of Gurbabi, kirtan and Sikh Prachaar over them.

  8. Well, also need to take into account what the Country 's law state. Allowed marriage at 16 - 17 WITH family consent and BOTH couple's consent. BOTH must be 16 -17! 18 plus no consent needed for marriage only both couples.

Used to be 18 plus but nowadays with "Kids cleverness " they act like know it alls so I think it 16 plus?? Joking.

Only paapi / kaami 18 plus gets married to minors below 18. Yes, every country has its own culture BUT COME ON! MAN.

malwai just take Amrit from Gurdwaras, regular way.

the three groups speak slightly different dialects of punjabi.  which is cool.   the majha dialect is considered 'taksal' (closest to Gurbani).

YES! In UK a resident can tell a Person's hometown just by listening to their accent (North / Scotland, London, Sheffield or European etc) the same way, born n bred Indians will recognise if someone originally belongs from Majha, Malwa or Doaba.

Since I been visiting India as a kid and even today I only knew of Doaba. I came to know about Majha and Malwa through my wife. She's from Ferozepur (Malwai). Their voices tends to be very soft, whereas Doaba's are deep. Then a brilliant minded person may go deeper and know whereabouts of a person... Like Ropar Region (Doaba) residents over their have asort of husky timid voice.

I prefer my wife's side language though, their vocabulary is broad; Door, buha, gate and darwaza. To lean, Taasna, Dhoh. Wind, hawa, paun and has 2 other words just to name a few examples. Doaba sadly, only has one word in their vocab. Instead of learning from each other, each Region believes their language is correct and the others are wrong! Simply because "We read it in a book like that." We in the UK respect each others language (Wee means little in Scots). Or the matter of fact Wales has kept its Welsh (Cymru) language which is really amazing.

  10. Va = Vasudev, He = Hri, Gu = Gobind and Roo = Ram (I think Ram)?

These were the known Lord's name in the past jugs. Today it means from Darkness (Gu) to roo (light). Another meaning is Lord, take me from darkness and into light.

Now... WHY is it Waheguru??? GOOD QUESTION! Am afraid IDK but my above answer may be some help.

  11. Brahmgianis are known for eating one meal a day. Simple daal with either one or half roti... thas once in 24 hours! Amazing...

Unfortunately for normal folks, especially who work hard or exert unusual energy for work or own choice... u may end up dying from Orthorexia. EVEN if u eat 3 meals a day, FULL STOMACH. My sister was a victim of orthorexia.

I would like to touch on her lifestyle. Aged 16 onwards she read books on healthy eating. Aged 18 plus she STOPPED eating things like fry food, chocolate n biscuits. She even stopped Prashad and langar at Gurudwara. Her diet consisted of raw vegetables, baajri roti with steamed broccoli or steamed pulses (daal) ONLY or if not roti then boliled rice. Which she cooked all by herself. And fruit once a day. No drinks, hot drinks only milk (once in a while) and pure tap water. So she was a vegan (milk was almond or oat). Pre 2021 she was incredibly strong and barely got tired. 7 days she would get up at 4 or 5am, ishnaan, paat, usual breakfast of fresh nuts n seeds if not milk or fruit... HOWEVER last year it all came crashing down on her. She lost weight n had almost zero strength to lift anything. She could barely sit!!! Then this year she passed a few months back.

Maybe she got egoistic? Maybe she fell in the "Too much of anything is bad for u" category? Maybe she never rested but kept herself busy with work, walk n shopping for food??? Either way her diet backfired on her.

Google Orthorexia to learn more symptoms, conditions etc. It's too late for my sis but hopefully you or yer loved ones don't  have to go through it.

  12. Although you have a right to fear but really, there nothing to fear.

Only last month this Sarb Soorat Singh (I mean me) was at Delhi airport and police / security treated me just like a normal person. On top their were LOADS of Singh / Singhnia going about their Business in n around the airport. As long as u have the correct papers and travel documents should be zero problem.

Personally, this time round I didn't enjoy India much. It's cause staying at Tai / Chachi's (and dad too, I guess) house. Bibias argue in the kitchen, can drive over there so have to b reliant on cousin, women are concerned about themselves n their own fam over cooking... no love and no logistics to travel. I announced to my parents n wife next visit I will be at a hotel...

What is the nearest city to Moga?? You will definitely find a hotel in that city... unless Moga is a City? Then there should b a hotel there... lol I heard of Moga but can't remember if it's closer to Amritsar or Hoshiarpur? Anyways...

You definitely will need a lawyer for this job. There may be rip offs but u will have to judge n haggle(?)

    Good luck.

Pictured: Transgender rapist who first appeared in court as a man named Adam with a face tattoo before changing gender ahead of trial for attacking two women - as she is sent to a women's prison

Transgender woman is found guilty of raping two women when she was a man

Isla Bryson was a shaven-headed Adam Graham with a Mike Tyson-style face tattoo when they carried out the violent sex attacks in 2016 and 2019 after abusing the victims they originally met online. Bryson, who claimed to have had gender issues since the age of four, began transitioning from a man to a woman in 2020 after being charged with the rapes. The attacker denied the accusations, telling jurors any sex was consensual - although Bryson insisted she did not like sleeping with women and they made the 'first move'. There was no reference to the 31-year-old having a gender recognition certificate during the trial. It is understood Bryson is being held in a segregation unit at Cornton Vale women's prison, where the attacker will be risk assessed ahead of sentencing to see where she will serve her term. Today Bryson was found guilty of the two rapes. The defendant denied the charges, saying in evidence she 'would never hurt another human being'. She had been on bail, but was today remanded in custody by judge Lord Scott until sentencing on February 28 in Stirling. It comes amid ongoing controversy over Nicola Sturgeon's Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill (GRR), which would allow anyone anyone over 16 to 'self-identify' as the opposite sex without needing medical diagnosis of gender dysphoria. Scottish Conservative shadow community safety minister Russell Findlay said today: 'This rapist decided that he was no longer a man only after appearing in court on a rape charge. We now have the utterly perverse situation where a Scottish court refers to someone who says he identifies as female using "her <banned word filter activated>" to rape two vulnerable women. We warned of the inevitability of this happening if the SNP's gender self-ID law passed, but for it to have become reality is deeply worrying and an affront to the victims.'
