Hi Guys I have not posted on here in a while. The past 8 months have been the worst in my life for me and my parents. Its like something out of a tv but its really happing to us.for me to cope withb this situation I go to Gudawara every week(Nanaksar Thath Isher Darbar) I spend normally 20-60 minutes in the Darbar listing to the Shabads which really does bring me inner peace . They are times when it looks like things have turned a corner but then we are delt with more problems honestly its like dealing with a never ending storm . Honestly I have no idea what to do.

(that response also winds people up) As for me being a Modern Hindu I would say I would identify myself as an Indian more then Hindu thats for sure. I incorporate Indian culture with British Vales. I would say I live a good balanced western lifestyle.

Not related this this topic as such but today at the Bullring Birmigham I saw a Singh(Keshdhari) with a lovely looking apni(The Singh was holding her hand )I went passed the Singh , thinking fair play to him. He had good thick beard too. good sense of style.reminded me abit of Pardeep (streetstyle Singh from youtube) so those who say Singh's struggle on the dating sense are incorrect. I would take it seriously if it was better alternative to India by that I mean Free Health care for all Free education for all up until the age of 18 new universities campus Free Wifi better structure of pay benefits for low income workers International firms being bought in to create more jobs. err let em debunk what has been said on this thread regarding Hindu Punjabi's with real life example. I myself am British Indian Punjabi Hindu. Despite being born and raised in the UK i can speak fluent Punjabi almost as good as people back home in Punjab. I am proud to identity myself Punjab so is my family. I have met a few Hindu Punjabi's who speak Punjabi over Hindi. its mainly the Delhi Punjabi Hindu's that speak Hindi over Punjabi. even thou i am Hindu I dont consider myself as a Non Sikh, the only place of worship i go to is the Gudwara. I see myself more of follower fo Dharma . When people find out I am Hindu they ask me why am I wearing a Kara etc I explain to them that I am person that follows Dharma and I incorporate elements of Hinduism , Sikhism, Buddhism , Jainism but by no means I am a perfectly religious person. now if people have a problem with that its down to them .

If your taking about true Freedom then Punjabi Hindus especially those still living in Punjab should be able to vote after all its there home aswell. Punjab is the home of all Punjabi's just like India is the home of all Indians. the amount of Hindu /India hate in the Uk is really uncalled for and most of its false. I think most on here have a negative view of Hindu Punjabi's based on bad experiences and those Punjabi Hindus's back in India who would rather uphold Hindi as the main language over Punjabi.I have met those people back in India and they dont like me at all as I will always speak Punjabi over Hindi. However they are many Hindu punjabi's that will fully embrace Punjabi culture and language. My family are like that and I would say we go the Gudwara more so then we got to Mandir. I dont know many Hindu Punjabis outside my family but the ones I have spoken to seem aged between 20-37 are atheist and dont care about religion at all. Their is this gay Punjabi Bharmin at my workplace who unfortunately shares the same surname as me . He told me that he does not care about religion at all and its all about business and work for him and his family lol. atleast he can speak good Punjabi i will give him that. But man he is propa gay in terms of his mannerisms. he brings the whole Punjabi alpa male reputation down lol.
