I bet the guy said something like, "if he moved Mecca, how comes no one else noticed?" Muslims place a big thing on miracles like that as evidence of God's presence. Had Guru Nanak really did that, I think many of the people there would have recognised him as a holy man. Dr Niak didn’t make the brother look dumb he did it himself. I have scene many of Dr Niak talks. I have always wanted a Sikh to ask him a question, and when he did I was cringing. The Singh pushed in front of people to get to the mic, causing a commotion. Rushed to come out with this. He was told moving of the Mecca or any other building is Un-scientific, Dr Niak then said lets just suppose it did happen it would be recorded by Islamic historians. These mircales are always connected with Religous founders in Religion to proove they are men of God. If Guru Nanak did move the mecca, he would have documented in his writings. Guru Nanak also was against myth mircales. The verse which is NOT in the SGGS ...goes along something like the whole of mecca was spining. If anything was spinning it was the peoples mind with whom Guru Ji had debate with when he gave them his answer, "to point my feet to a place where God is not"

More than a scholar a student of comparative religion. He can quote from various scriptures. I saw a Sikh Brother, ask him a question about Guru Nanak at Mecca , he replied with, its possible he went to Mecca, in a chup charp manner (quietly not drawing attention) Dr Niak didn’t say Guru Nanak was a Muslim. It was the brother showed himself up in front of a few 100 people when brought up the kaba-moving story. Dr Niak is highly educated but cunning and sly , like say don’t trust them nor get close to them.

Preposterous & vituperative statements were used throughout the program in attempt to malice the image of Sikh people throughout the world . Sikhs living in other Indian states were branded as terrorist and the Sikh Sangat across the globe as active sponsors of terrorism. Certainly, Perpetrators of such onerous and tyrannical complications are oblivious to glorious, distinguished and divine Sikh history. However Sikh Sangat must consolidate and unite to resist any such attempt to defame the RELIGIOUS ,SOCIAL AND CULTURAL heritage of SIKHISM. Dude the Mandir spun 180 Degrees to face Bhagat Naam Dev.. (for ref: Shabad in Guru Granth Sahib Ji by Bhagat Naam Dev).. it is the only mandir in India that faces sunset rather than sunrise (which is v. bad!) True say, Guru Sahib ji didn't do that. Instead, Guru Nanak said that even his GURSIKHS are above these ridhia sidhia (supernatural powers) because they are all minor compared to the power of Gursikh. This "miracle" was a way to teach the Mullahs that God is indeed everywhere. No need to make a big issue out of a mior event - this is just a minor event. Islam says that God is NOT everywhere, but is above all and sits on his throne ('Arsh) - Guru Nanak wanted to get rid of their doubts with this little minor display. so whats your conclusion ??

Very well said, I haven’t looked in to this that deeply but no for a fact that the kaaba didn’t spin. This type of magical miracle is against Sikhi principles, and un-scientific. People try to attach miracles to people, to prove they are men of God. If anyone was spun it was the people Guru Nanak had debate with, put my feet in a direction in which God is not.
