  1. Lol Thankfully, Guru Sahib has given Maryada of only Grihast Gursikhs (married, never divorced/remarried) to do seva in Panj.
  2. The author (Guru Sahib) is going katha of the Charitar. Guru Sahib isn't literally saying to get a green cup, neither is Guru Sahib talking to Saki. I will look into the Fatehnama, but the example you have given seems to be from the mangal/sirlekh, not the actual text. Sirlekhs can be interpolated.
  3. Sanatanis and their wrong arths if Sri Dasam Granth. These people are doing beadbi of Guru Sahib with their wrong arths. First of all, Krishnaavtaar is katha. It is not meant as a spiritual guide. In that story, Bhrigu Rishi was against alcohol because of the 'Kach' incident. But in this case, after the Yudh, the wine given to Krishan was from Brahma. This has nothing to do with it being allowed or not, but it is just a point Guru Gobind Singh Ji added to that story, as it is a Katha. Frankly, I believe we should boycott these Sanatanis just like we boycott Missionaries. They do the same wrong arths, but arrive at different conclusions.

  8. Bro, you cannot be this ignorant. Those groups you mentioned are the ones who keep stopping women from doing keertan. Dhumma Taksal threw a fit when Punjab Government recommended Bibyan be allowed to do seva. SGPC had already made a decision to allow bibyan to do keertan seva in 1940, and Sri Akal Takht Sahib reaffirmed it in 1996.

  12. Not sure about that in Purewal's case man. In an interview he mentioned he used to have Sri Guru Granth Sahib parkash at his house and did 2 annual sehaj paath shaibs annually with his wife (his words not mine). He also said he used to for many years do akhand paath roul seva at his local gurdwara. The real ppl trying to kill Sikhi are the nastiks dressed up as Sikhs.
  13. I saw a video on Facebook where Makhu was with the Jathedar of Patna Sahib. Apparently he was forgiven and said his views had changed from 4 years ago. Otherwise, Makhu is weird. His tone of talking seems egoistic (dunno how to describe it).
  14. I am not someone to clean up someones image, but I know two facts about Pal Singh Purewal: - Probably a decade ago, a Singh in our local area found Purewal's phone number. He called him and asked him why he is against Sri Dasam Granth. Purewal's reply was that if he ever spoke against Sri Dasam Granth, he is ready to have his head chopped off. (In Punjabi, he had said: ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਰ ਵੱਢ ਦਿਉ) - Purewal has admitted he did not want to publish his book at one point during its manuscript phase because his calculated results did not match with Sri Dasam Granth. (He explains this in the preface of the English translation of Guru Kian Sakhian) So yea, maybe he is taking the politically correct way out. He is not the same as nastiks like Dhadri and neo-missionaries.

  16. The document is dated Magh Vadi 11/18 Magh - Nanakshahi 409, Bikrami 1934. Indeed this date matches: Magh Vadi 11 was also 18 Magh in that year. The English date for this Hukamnama is: Tuesday, January 29, 1878 C.E. Whoever typed up the Hukamnama gave the wrong year 1877 C.E. This also proves Nanakshahi Sammat was used in history and is not a modern invention.
  17. Yes, Gurbani is ਸੁਤੰਤਰ from any wordly grammer or poetry system. Ones who say that Gurbani is beyond Viyakaran, make a purely emotional statement without any backup. Everything that Waheguru does is perfect and under divine rules made by Waheguru. Similarly, ਧੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ too is constraint by not some worldly grammar rules but by the unique and divine grammatical rules. You are free to have your opinion, Guru Sahib knows best.
