Look at the world today. If your not wearing make-up, shaving your body or whatever people do these days you are not seen as beautiful. The media have completely taken over the idea of beauty and now as Gursikh (woman) if you are making a stand, people are going to give you looks because you seem strange and out of societies norms. So as Sikhs we should encourage one other to look beyond what people think and just remember that Guru doesn't care about outside looks but the looks on the inside. Are we being compassionate and righteous at the end of the day.

There is a book called Se kinehya (meaning what are they like) and it is about Sant Harnaam Singh ji Rampurkera wale. There is an English translation and it is quite good. I think with Buddhism and partially Hinduism it is this new era of people talking about mental well-being and mindfulness, mental health, spirituality etc. And the things is this is all in Sikhi with a pure message. We haven't taught it in schools, no one thinks about a Sikh meditating, japping naam, doing Kirtan. In schools they literally say these lot keep their hair 5ks and wear turbans.

They still do street prachar but don't film it. They do it in Kingston and other places and people have groups and every week they come to do some prachar. And Basics organises prachar events as well
