  1. sikh channel and sangat tv both have their good points and bad points. i have heard that sangat tv keeps reporting sikh channel to ofcom when they do khalistani shows, so now sikh channel has to be carefull what they broadcast because theyve had warnings from ofcom. ive said it since day one, the competition is disgusting. both channels are as bad as eachother.
  2. well said rebel. why does amitabh quote that his mum is sikh wherever he goes?.... his mums a sikh yet he maintained a close relationship with the ghandis. infact rajiv ghandi brought him into politics in 84 thats how close they were. amitabh flew in to dlehi airport as soon as heard "mata indira" died....if he has nothing to hide why doesnt he show up in court for the charges which have been put against him? ive also heard that media in the 80s reported the first thing he did on his arrival in delhi was slap a singh in the airport. http://a3.sphotos.ak...104549617_n.jpg the 1984 survivors deserve a voice... they cant raise it in india http://a8.sphotos.ak...538357077_n.jpg these pictures are form facebook. although amitabh isnt attending, there is going to be a peacefull awarness gathering... consisting of naam jaap etc... sounds great to me... i love this awareness through education plan, seems well thoughtout and organised... amitabh wont be there but his fans and family will, so its great that his part in 84 is being highlighted in a peacefull way... with the media present. keep this peaceful and leave it to the managers to get the message across. i have contacted seva84 who said that they have educated persons to speak to the media, they want all who attend to partake in naap jaap etc. they will get the message across through literature, and signs (i think)... we should support this... this is an oppertunity to raise awareness and educate the masses... but only if it is kept peaceful and well managed. i say, give it a shot, go... keep it peaceful, get the message out there. amnesty internation are involved - how fantstic is that?!
  3. edl have updated their facebook with pictures.. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Edl-East-Anglian-Division-Page/170262702993752
  4. another charity for the survivors of the november 1984 genocide www.seva84.com and www.facebook.com/seva1984
  5. i have been very aware of the way sikhs have been treated in india for many years now... i am fully occupied with work and sikhi but most of my days, especailly recently, i find im burning inside... sometimes while im at work i just feel real angry inside, at the truma sikhs have gone through in india... ive met families of shaheeds in india and in europe and ive even met a shaheed who the gvt thinks is dead and it just seems so personal.... sikhs are suppose to well wish on all... i cant... i wish all those who have taken part in the continued genocide against sikhs suffering of 8.4m lives of pains 8.4million times. i cant explain properly, but i wish them 8.4million cycles of 8.4million lives of pain... which is 70.56 million lives, each full of immence emotional and physical pain. i understand that sikhs have faced many genocides and killings since the shaheedi of 5th nanak, guru arjan dev ji, and were made to stand through such ordeals.... i understand all is hukam... i understand all the sikhi part ... but it doent seem to bring any comfort..... it doesnt help the anger i feel within.
  6. this is typical cheap and pathetic indian politics. are we suppose to think that all of a sudden the gvt gives a <banned word filter activated> about bringing the accused to justice?... if they really cared, justice would have been served ages ago, and the gvt would have ensured the victims of 84 are looked after, rather then keeping them below the poverty line, uneducated and living in sewage. sajjan kumar, jagdish tytler, kamal nath, amitabh bachchan..... they all deserve what the victims got.... to be raped infront of their families, then burnt and thrown out on the streets infront of their families... then their families who survive should live 30+ years in dirty conditions, without toilets, and their homes full of illnesses and deseases whilst watching the people who did this to them receive heafty rewards and lavish lifestyles.
  7. west london singh is correct. Businesses that support RSS and shivsena need to be boycotted by sikhs... this is basic. they should be boycotted for supporting terrorist organisations.... if all sikhs did this, this would have an impact in punjab at least. punjabis not as well educated as the rest of india..... all sikhs must continue to stay united and continue the struggle. the bhai rajoana sahib situation is not the begining nor is it the end. punjabi sikhs would probably support this if they were more clued up on whats going on. can we start compiling a list of businesses that support shiv sena and other terrorist organisations?
  8. i dont like the way the narrator addressed muslims as "kurdish" "pakistani" "iranians" etc, but sikhs were explicitly identified by the presenters by their religion. why could they not say "indian"?? or "punjabi's" ? like kam1825 rightly said, honour killings are much more frequent in muslim communities.
  9. before you know it you will have all security around you pointing guns at your head...... better to "spread awareness" in a more sensible way. I know someone (hindu) who got rude to an airport worker in a mumbai airport, he had to appoligise publicly at gun point.
  10. nihals a cock... bbc asian network sux... i swear bbc asian network was suppose to be closing, why is it still running? http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/47988-bbc-bias-against-sikhs-and-selective-use-of-the-term-asian/
  11. killings aside for a sec (this argument can go on for ever)... during partition were sikhs hellbend on converting muslim women into sikhs?... i doubt it... if so, this new found trend would have continued and turned into a visibable tradition today.... whereas with muslims, they are hellbent on converting sikh girls..... in this respect, the clip in the original post has flipped the roles of sikhs and muslims. fact: after partition many sikh families adopted muslim orphans and raised them as muslims reading to them verses from the koran... fact: after partition... many sikh orphans in pakistan were forced to convert to muslims... also... even today sikh/hindu girls are abducted in pakistan on a weekly basis.... was the role of sikhs squeeky clean in 1947 - no.... cause not... but compaired to muslims it was.... you may not agree with all / some of my views - fair enough.... but we should all be able to agree on this: out of Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs... The Sikhs lost the most from the partition of India.
  12. even muslim women have told in documenty's that muslims started the violence. they have said that they were forced to wear hijabs to survive when people would come to the vilages / on trains to kill. (before not all muslim punjabi women wore hijabs, even today not all do). ive also seen a video on a pakistani channel of singhs forcing a girl to chhak amrit... and on the way to the gurdwara the singhs were doing bhangra!! - what <banned word filter activated>!!... they switched their roles on us... never have sikhs had a history of forcing others to convert. yes sikhs did kill muslims and vice versa... but i find it hard to beliueve that sikhs forced musalman women to convert. total horse crap. also... in our pind in jhalandar, we have a mosk that my mums family have been looking after since partition. its been abandoned but theyve been looking after it and havent let the gvt demolish it. Ill actually have a clip of this and share it with yall shortly.
  13. good initiative by chatanga - document 1947 - op bluestar & punjab killings - nation 84 genocide (many of the victims relocated to punjab) -a few ww2 stories wouldnt go a miss. i heard once a gora told a singh that in ww2, a ship got flooded, and about 2000+ singhs and horses drowned (cuz they was in the bottom) while the goreh survived.by jumping off onto boats. this kind of history is gold!
  14. ks55 im not the emotional one calling people coconuts, internet warriors, brown on outside white on the inside, "they make me sick" etc.... just for having a difference of opinion! anyways nice to see you've calmed down and that you finally managed to answer the question. in four pages of comments we have the following answers: "is it right for sikh sangat to be greeted with "salaam" (an islamic greeting) on a sikh channel?" ks55 - "if a sikh channel is doing it bravo i say"
  15. darshan is a true <banned word filter activated>. he knows he is going to rev up emotions... he doesnt care for sikh sentiments (even tho he was ex jathedar of sri akaal thakat sahib) so he is well aware of sikhs will react to his crap... but he wants us to play up, look bad and get arrested because of "freedom of speach". sangat jee we need to be united on this one, any gurdwara that supports darshan should be exposed and ALL sangat should withdraw their support.
  16. one youtube user posted this comment (which i agree wtih)... This EU propaganda film is not only racist but also misleading. They have turn black into white. Let us look at the fact from history. China was invaded and humilated by the western countries since the 19th century before the PRC established. India was colonised by the British until 1947. The black people are capture as slaves by white people for centuries in Africa and sold them to America. China, India and Afican countries have never theathen white people. What people are endanger world peace? skin colour, ethnic origin and countries would have been thought out in this advert. all they had to do was chuck in a white western boxer to the mix... and that would have made a huge difference.
  17. who questioned sartaj's spirituality? since when was that the focal point of this topic? if the congress party are keeping sikhs in punjab under slavery, and sartaj is on the bench with congress at political rallys, does he not have a political interest? you have an issue with me bringing up congress, but you dont have an issue with sartaj being compared to bhai mardana sahib?! why is this question so hard to answer? "is it right for sikh sangat to be greeted with "salaam" (an islamic greeting) on a sikh channel?" before answering try putting your love towards sartaaj aside, a yes or no answer with a simple one line explination would suffice. .
  18. political motives? also i mentioned this because a foolish comparison was made between sartaj and bhai mardana sahib. my question (again) is..... "is it right for sikh sangat to be greeted with "salaam" (an islamic greeting) on a sikh channel?"
  19. explain, how is calling poeple internet warriors and coconuts constructive criticism? i went to college in finsbury park... my knowledge of islamb doesnt stop at the definition of "salaam", more over the meaning is irrelevant..... my question (again) is..... "is it right for sikh sangat to be greeted with "salaam" (an islamic greeting) on a sikh channel?" before answering try putting your emotions towards sartaaj aside, a yes or no answer with a simple one line explination would suffice. .
  20. @ kop jeeeezzz i didnt snitch! admins didnt like your tone... its their jobs to moderate... even if i did snitch (which i didnt) let it go!!! get over it! its just the net, people will have different views to you, nothing to wet yourself over! @ks55 - how can you say your post was not abusive and was just appreciating poetry? -(your words) "The internet warriors on here would never understand as they are mostly cocunuts - brown on the outside white on the inside therefore them dissing sartaj and exclaiming overwhelming - they make me sick as they have no knowledge of their mother tounge." yes you might like sartaaj, yes you can listen to his songs with your family... and all the rest of it, i havent denied this. however, i do object to sikh sangat being greeted with a salaam on a sikh channel..... back tot he topic at hand... everyone might lvoe sartaj... i dont care this dont bother me... my question to the sangat "is it right for sikh sangat to be greeted with salaam on a sikh channel?"
  21. i didnt start crying, nor did i report your post, nor did i complain to admins. You dissed me, so i wiped the walls with you. its as simple as that. that was over 24 hours ago, i cant belive your still feeling raw about it!
  22. internet warriors for having a different point of view to you? your the one huurling abuse left right and center!
  23. the bhai mardana sahib card being played again. would bhai mardana sahib sit in congress rallys next to gardas mann? khalistanigunmans last post is spot on
  24. sikhi promotes the belief that God is not restricted to one religion...and that any person from any background can reach Vaheguru... i do not believe that sikhi promotes "all faiths lead to one G
  25. i dont see a reason in the world why sikh sangat should receive an islamic greeting on a SIKH channel.like you said, stuff like this happends on brit asia... that dont bother me... im not talknig about brit asia.
