  1. What have our elders achieved in the last 20 odd years? I don't see anything of great significance. I think even they would agree with this. Sikhi is simple and has simple principles. Truth being one of them. Rajoana is a simple truthful man. I think even our elders will agree he is far better than us. Rajoana has touched people who we could never get to. He is a leader for them. All our current elders and us included are not able to reach out to these people. Leadership skills you ask? If a leader can't reach out and stay in touch with his people then what kind of leader is he? I don't class all these jathebandian as leaders. Yes they are a big part of the Panth but by no means are they leading me. I respect them but they lack leadership skills if you ask me. Everyone needs to stop being divisive. I agree alcohol should not be served at any event involving Sikhs. If people want to drink that is up to them. But we should be able to tell the world that Sikhs don't drink. I am sure everyone can live without a drink for 1 evening.
  2. We need unity. Let's not get into bashing each other. Has anyone bothered to contact any of the channels or jathebandi or anyone to see if they can help?
  3. Where are Amrit Sanchaars this Vaisakhi? Please list here.
  4. I agree. We are so negative. We just look for anything so that we can argue/talk about it. We just want to be right all the time. We don't look at the good in things/people. Not having a go at anyone either, we are all included in this. Lets watch out for those trying to cause division.
  5. Shaheed Bhai Jaspal Singh did what we are not fortunate enough to do.
  6. This is great news. Be interesting to find out what they were questionned on and what charges were brought if any?
  7. I agree all the policemen/army men who refused to fire or enter Harmandar Sahib should be honoured. Regardless if Sikh or not. If i was old enough and we had Sikhsangat back then I would have made that suggestion too. Yes I don't know the inside story. Maybe you can share what is going on in that prison? Maybe i am naive but maybe the prison guards like Bhai Balwant Singh. If they hate him and the superintendent is scared of badal and whoever and is acting on instructions then that is his problem. But as a Sikh nation it would be good PR and may encourage others like me who can't read the superintendents mind, to in the future be honourable and support a righteous man. We sit here in the uk/usa and accuse everyone of being RSS or badals little pet unless they get arrested or shout khalistan jindabad loud enough for the whole world to hear. Yes i dont know the inside story but then can you honestly say you do? No one said siropa. Maybe a trophy or something. But i guess i must be acting on badals instructions too now.
  8. Just a few points: We should honour the Jail Superintendent who refused to hang Bhai Balwant Singh. He has played a great role over the last few weeks. Also how can we proactively help have the leaders in Punjab released from prison? They have not committed any crimes. They led peaceful protests. Is it a crime to lead a peaceful protest in a Democracy? Why are reporters arrested (Sikh channel and sangat tv) for filming in a Democracy?
  9. So we must get arrested to be Panthic? lol Let's not be so naive. Why can we all not understand what Rajoana is saying to us? He wants us all to unite. All I am noticing is people coming out to divide. In any 1 family not all members will agree with everything. We will have different ways of doing things. We will have different roles. We need to stick together. Our enemies want to divide and rule. Stop slinging mud.

  11. This is time to stick together. If the Jathedar took a stand on something then we should accept that. The biggest thing we need to be careful of is being divisive. Everyone needs to pull together. Bhai Balwant Singh is trying to unite us not divide us. Lets show him enough respect by listening to him. He has warned us of Akalis not anyone else. We need to ask ourselves what are we doing? Lets be constructive. If you are referring to the Jathedar of our Panth then I think he has made a statement asking for them to all be released.
  12. Stop eating ladoo. Maybe listen to his own Adesh only a few days ago and remember what he said in that adesh. He asked for 'unconditional release'. This has not yet been achieved, so why ladoo? If he did the above it might be a result. Realise that the Sikh Nation will stand with them and speak up for Sikhs. Point out how Punjab was peaceful until police/bsf/shiv sena came out onto streets. Make Bhai Balwant Singh Jathedar, as all Jathebandian have stated.
  13. This is a very good idea. We need to send the videos from yesterday to the western media showing shiv sena provoking Sikhs and police not doing anything and then attacking sikhs.
  14. 'Incredibe India' Lol sorry I cant help but laugh at how right you are. Make videos and call them incredible india.
  15. Can everyone change their facebook pictures and put up a picture of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana. Also copy and past the following text as your status. During the 1990s, the then chief minister of Punjab, Beant Singh, was responsible for the mass genocide of young Sikh men across Punjab. Balwant Singh Rajoana could bear the carnage no longer. In August the Chief Minister's car was blown up and the... minister killed. As a result the number of killings dropped dramatically overnight. Rajoana accepted his guilt and has spent the last 17 years in jail. He is due to be executed on the 31st of March. If this happens he will be the first person to be hung in Punjab in over 20 years! Rajoana gave up his life so that the lives of tens of thousands of others could be spared. His mother shed countless tears over 17 years so that thousands of mothers would not have to. Please change your fb photo to a photo of Rajoana to show your opposition to his death penalty. Please take a few seconds to show that this huge act of human compassion has touched your heart.
  16. Show your support and show you are proud of Balwant Singh Rajoana. Put up the posters in your business or Gurdwara. Turn up to the protest on Friday 23rd in London.
  17. Need to get the channels to advertise the protest on 23rd in London. Not many people are aware of this.
  18. Can everyone please dedicate their facebook status or whatever social media you use to Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana. Put a photo up to show your support. Many are doing this. Lets show unity.
  19. Its great to see both channels covered the protest. Well done to Sikh Channel. Please can everyone dedicate their main photo on facebook or whatever social media to Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana. 21. What has happend to the Sachkhand and Guru Granth Sahib Ji Saroops that were present in this Gurdwara?
  22. Can this please be moved to the general section. As it gets more coverage there. This is a very important issue and needs to be highlighted.
  23. When did this occur? It is so important to concentrate on our Jeevans and stop bickering and causing more issues amongst each other. We are seeing so much of this type of beadbi now. Even 1 is 1 too many and now I am not sure we can even count how many in the last year or so.
  24. I agree with you bro. The reason for asking the questions were related to this article: http://news.outlookindia.com/items.aspx?artid=746400 What I am wondering is why the need for 450 Saroops? I understand that some of these Saroops are now in the UK. If you ring a Gurdwara in the UK they will tell you they have no more space to keep Maharaj de Saroop.
