  1. I get it and I agree. People in the world are suffering so much. I didn’t realized until I left my bubble in the UK and saw what the world is actually like.
  2. Trust me, the entire world wants to move to western countries because it’s incredibly difficult living in those countries. Ask any expat who has worked in a third world country and they’ll tell you the same. Alot of Brits literally have No idea how easy we have it. People are literally screaming out there for a British passport. We are incredibly blessed.
  3. Truth in action yes. Yet so many blindly listen and repeat without acting. As Guru Nanak said, Truth is high but higher still is Truthful living. There are so many lessons to be learned on this test ground of earth, and so many beautiful things to experience, so much life to embrace and enjoy. We are supposed to be Free Spirits, while being Strong. Living life on the straight and narrow path with joy, Chardi Kala because it’s all just God.
  4. People on here can be so aggressive. It’s Not a religion. Sikh means student, and if you think it is, you’re ignoring one of the first teachings which is that there is no Hindu, no Muslim, only One. Don’t get it twisted my friend.
  5. Sikh means student not religion. Truth has existed since the beginning of time and beyond and the Gurus taught us the uncorrupted version of it, and taught it in depth.
  6. Same thing, when the loves there, doesn’t matter the title. God is everyone everything everywhere, and yet do we acknowledge that.. Nanak is everyone everything everywhere u see, merged in truth recognition with the One. Status doesn’t mean anything when he called himself a lowly worm, he was telling us that no one is high and no one is low. To be high in status spiritually means to put your head on the ground and accept to be Nothing. The reason many of the Devi’s and Devtas were not high spiritually is simply because their Ego rose. Where there’s ego, you fall, when you surrender it and lay on the ground, you rise. Gurbani tells us to see God as the angel and the devil. That’s humility beyond the anger attachment and illusion of the Khel.
  7. Do you believe there is no religion? Because I would say that over half the people on here believe that you can convert to Sikhi when it’s not even a religion.
  8. Of course they can. Religion is an illusion, there’s only Truth. Sikh means student, it’s not a religion. Guru Nanak taught this in that there is No Hindu, No Muslim, Only One, aka God aka Truth. Being a Student of Truth (Sat) isn’t just reserved for Punjabi’s or Brown people... the whole of humanity walks to the tune of naam, the whole universe does. It’s for the White, Chinese, Latino, black, and any other ethnic group left out. External appearance doesn’t matter, we are a All the same and we are a All one, God in every heart and cell. That’s Truth.
  9. Who’s higher and who’s lower when Nanak called himself a lowly worm. To become the highest, u must accept yourself as the lowest which is what many babas and Kirtan singers forget nowadays.
  10. Just need to relax and be at peace and stop the mind chatter.
  11. Just to note that all bhagats are not just brown. Many angels of different colors too.
  12. Possibly in ways. I’m not talking about the feminist movement, I’m talking about female empowerment and liberation in general. Every woman should have equal rights and equal treatment to every man. That should just be a given. Some men on here are incredibly sexist which is totally obvious.
  13. You’re stereotyping everyone who believes in women’s rights which is silly
  14. No, feminism was to empower women, however it’s devolved to include silly things that it shouldn’t. A real feminist knows that it’s just female empowerment, knowing that a woman has equal rights and is equal to men. Women couldnt vote and work in many places until a few decades ago. Most women I know have been victims of domestic violence or severe emotional abuse, and most women I know have been the victims of sexist men. Women are Equal to men as shown by Mai Bhago and yet many men still refuse to accept it and believe men to be higher up. Ridiculous in this day and age. I understand that many men are abused aswell, and that there are also sexist women, however female empowerment is still needed as many women including myself still encounter men who try and crush us and demote us into merely objects to step on to make themselves feel better about themselves, on a regular basis. Do you know that India is ranked as the 4th most sexist country in the world.
  15. True, the legal system isn’t always entirely fair. Of course he spoke out, hence why I said teach when it’s appropriate. He went to Mecca and taught.. can you imagine the fearlessness... who would even dare to do that today. With regards to your post, I was saying that mass murderers, cannibals, thieves etc are punished today in civilized societies. Although many may not be detected in third world countries where legal system can be less evolved. We are fortunate to at least have these in place in the countries we live in. I have been around many from third world countries and they have it incredibly tough, we are lucky. No sin is unforgivable as God forgives in every moment, before we even commit the misdeed. But we pay our dues, as we sow, so we reap. The law of karma applies throughout the universe.
  16. Guru Nanak taught there is no Hindu and no Muslim, only One. Therefore there is no conversion. Muslims wanted the Gurus to convert, but there was nothing to convert from. There’s only and has Always only been Truth and Illusion. And the Gurus came to teach the Uncorrupted Truth. Remember that Sikh means student.
  17. The legal system is in place for a reason. We are all just sinners really, some more deluded and making worse choices than others. Guru Nanak accepted that people are free to make their own choices and that everyone is at their own stages of evolution. So we detach from the rubbish and focus on ourselves and own lives, and accept that all is perfect and as it should be in each moment. To accept that we ourselves are not perfect, to let it be, not get angry, and teach when it’s called for. I avoid bad eggs, and let it be in acceptance, but I teach others out of their own crap when it’s called for.
  18. Sikhi is not a religion, it means student. We are One. That’s what Guru Nanak tried to teach us.
  19. Guru Nanak went to Mecca. Your friends are sorely misinformed.
