    If you look at it from afar, you'll find both sides do it for the LOVE of Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Nirankaar Ji! - Those for it, say it's his and the reasons for it being very explicit, sexual etc etc - Those who are against it, are so because they say there is not way Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Nirankaar Ji! can write such things, or can be associated with him. SO it's all out of love, at the end of the day SGGS is GURU and that's all that matters. It has authority over ALL other Granths authentic or otherwise :)

    So, some of my idiotic relatives are doing this Jagrata [Awake all night] Hindu ceremony where they stay awake and sing to Hindu Goddesses. This infuriates me, but then they are not Amritdhari Sikhs but even some of them attend being of very little wisdom. Why? They are Sikhs by name but not of actions. Such Hindufied nonsense does not leave us, why?

    My apologies Penji - My reaction was the the actual photo meditation, this is not Gurmat but manmat no matter whom has said it. Be it a Baba, Sant, Peer, Giani, Sian - If one want's to focus on God then there is NO better medium than GURBANI [which you're aware of] take a paragraph or a tuk of Gurbani and concentrate on that than a made up picture of our 'Guru Sahibs' [even though it's accepted Guru pictures in house and Gurdwara] For instance, the line 'SO DAR TERA KEHA SO GHAR KEHA JIT BEH SARAB SAMALE - What Is That House Like Where You Sit And Take Care Of All - It might be simple but it blows my mind, just contemplating the Lord God sitting there majestically looking at his creation. :)

    I respect any Sikh preacher, Kirtani, Sants [not the fake ones,as there are many] I've not done nindiya, but you seem to be the type who are joined to the Sant and not to the message of Gurbani? The ultimate goal is for YOU to be one with Waheguru and not what kamaiee a Sant does. As his kamaiiee is for his soul and not yours, just as me eating food would not eliminate your hunger. Satguru naal jur, not the Sants

    You do realise NOBODY knows what the Guru Ji looks like? These drawings are not a real depiction of them just what is perceived by the artist, if you use this to think of Guru Ji then Gurbani which is the deh and sarir of the Guru Ji is not working for you.... Now, it begins with a photo, then an effigy, then an idol, then a dehthari....it is always this way I see a pattern in your posts and the fascination with photos.

    I agree. We humans are foolish [women mostly as they adore such sants and babas]. Yes they might be holy, but they are the messengers but people forget that and start to bow, touch feet, math tek to such, this is the spiral, it begins then ends with what I've written about. I see no use in touching feet of such. Satkar of the higest form is to say the Fateh, yet some hate this and expect matha tek, this is egotism.
