  1. I feel that talking to someone works but I perfer to read path as daas has given him self a long nitnem
  2. If I ever feel alone I like to think my guru is with me patting me on my back like a father.
  3. Another reason why people may not come to sikhi is because of politics. Khalisastain and dasam granth. People do not want to argue.
  4. Most people really can't do anything. We can just do ardas.
  5. Hopefully Someone has been motivated about this but daas has a benti. Show respect to your gutka sahibs. I saw a photo where they just threw a gutka sahib in cabinet and showed 0 respect. That gutka sahib is guru ji. Treat the gutka sahib with respect.
  6. I feel like peoples faith is fading because people can't go to the gurdwara and be with the sangat. I was losing my faith in sikhism years ago because I was not doing nitnem. I watched some basics of sikhi videos and I got motivated to read nitnem again. I did some naam simrin and it changed me and from that day I have always done nitnem. We need to bring peole to the gurdwara and do naam simrin with them but do to covid not many people would go to the gurdwara. We need some online parchar like get basics of sikhi out there more. One like and a comment can reccomend the video to someone new. And when covid is gone we need to do lots of parchar.
  7. I have learned this from listening to katha of Giani Thunka Singh Ji and from the time I spent at budha dal. There is this sakhi about reading chandi di vaar at night. Baba Ji would also do Chandi Di Vaar in his Nitnem every day. But a question arose in his mind. When should this Baani be recited and how often? He would often wonder. He asked many religious and saintly people but nobody really gave a firm answer. One day, while in the hut, he began reciting Rahiraas Sahib after which he did Chandi Di Vaar. He then finished off with Sohilaa and was preparing to go to sleep. The moon was shining outside and the door to the hut was open. He had just lay down when all of a sudden, he saw two men approaching from a distance. Baba ji thought to himself that if they are travellers then he will provide them with food and clothes and offer them a place to rest for the night. But if they are robbers, he will be prepared to confront them. While he was still thinking they both pinned him to the ground. One held him down from the head and the other from the feet. They couldn't be travellers or robbers because they arrived at such incredible speed. They were Shaheed (martyred) Singhs. He began doing Mool Mantr Jaap. He had just completed two Mool Mantrs when the Singhs released him. He sat up. The Shaheed Singhs explained to him that they didn't come to hurt him.. They came to remove his doubt and confusion about the recitation of Chandi Di Vaar and when to do it, how much to do and how to do it. It was the fact that he thought that he would confront them that they wrestled him to the ground. They explained that if Chandi Di Vaar is recited after the sunset, then it must be continued all night non-stop. It is alright for two or more Singhs to do it in turn. If an individual can recite it all night then that is alright as well. A clean cloth should be spread underneath where you're sitting and you must have your bath first. An oil lamp (dhesi ghior dee joth) should be lit. There are no strict rules about reciting in the day time. Whether it is recited one or more times, it should be done with love and affection. After saying this, they left the hut and then suddenly disappeared.
  8. Hi daas ki benti is that your nitnem should look like this. You may ask why so much path it is because we are in the deepest time of kaljug and we need to get out of this. Not by arguing over what path is real but coming together to do path. I recommend you also learn santhiya. And after covid we need to do lots of parchar. Wake up at 2 am after shower and everything probably is 2 20 Ardas 2 20 to 3 00 naam simrin (this should be 24/7) Japji sahib Shabad hazare Jaap Sahib Shabad hazare pt 10 Tav parsad savyie 33 savyie Bent choupi sahib (long) Anand Sahib Khalsa mool mantar (this is a must for amridhars) Naam simrin Akal ustat (Somedays do bachitar natak insted of akal ustat) Chandi di vaar Ugardanti Shastar naam mala Naam simrin Anand Sahib Hukamnama Asa di vaar kirtan Sukhmani Sahib Anand sahib Salok mehla 9 dhora mehla 10 Sidh ghost Anand sahib Naam simrin Reharas sahib Anand sahib Ardas Japji sahib Jaap sahib Arti arta Anand Sahib Dukh banjnee sahib Kirtan sohila Naam simrin Daas is trying his best to follow this. You may add bani or remove bani. For cahndi di vaar shastar naam mala and ugardanti maryda read my other post.
  9. Hindus say sikh are hindus because they can't control them. Raj Karega Khalsa
  10. When reading Chandi Di Vaar you should be standing and holding a shastar in your hand. Big or small it does not matter. You could also do it sitting but then you must place your shastar in front of you. It should be read at amritvela and before the sun sets. I like to read path with a jot as a big light is usually to bright. You should use a toof for good smell. You can sit on a blanket which is laid out on floor or a bed. You should have some water near you while reading the path. At the end you should drink it and sprinkle it around. I also recommend doing kirtan of this path witj the sal sangat or listening to it. I recommend reading ugardanti after reading Chandi di Vaar In short you need Shastars Jot Toof Water Full ishnan(including kes) Hopefully this has taught you something about the maryada. (Maryada is the same for Ugardanti and Shastar naam mala and other dasam bani for the most part)
  11. Where did you find this painting. I want to look into it.
