Me and my wife are looking to purchase our first property, we currently reside in Gants Hill, the area where I have grown up, but due to the rise in crime and gradual decline of the area, we're keen to move away from the area as we look to start a family, (however we don't want to move too far as we want to remain close to friends and family). One area we are considering is Hornchurch, it seems like a nice area, affordable and would be close to Atam Academy where I would like to send my kids. My only concern with the area is that it doesn't seem very diverse and I'm not sure it there are many problems of racism in the area?
Does anyone live in Hornchurch, that could advise on the demographic and general safety of the community and perhaps suggest which areas to avoid?
Any help would be much appreciated.
