  1. i agree with you 100%. i've always been against these things such as raakhi, etc. but it's sad to see so many sikhs out there who practice it, like my cousins in india. i don't think that sikhs in india as a whole will ever boycott raakhi, because they don't want to be "left out."
  2. sat sri akal, everybody... recently i was searching the web, and no page loads when going to www.sikhpride.com. this website was very informative and had some really nice photos... just wondering if anybody has heard that it is officially down permanently or temporarily? thank you and God bless you all...
  3. sat sri akal, that's really awesome to see that... representing the faith...
  4. Sat Sri Akal, So what's the deal? Why wasn't India participating in the World Cup this year (or in the past)? Anybody know their rank for the qualifier? Are there any sikhs on the team? They have such a huge population, there's got to be a few good football stars wandering around somewhere, right? Just wondering..
  5. SSA, www.sikhness.com official wallpapers if anybody is interested... thank you... widescreen (1280x768) : http://www.sikhness.com/media/images/wallp...s_wall-wide.jpg regular (1024x768) : http://www.sikhness.com/media/images/wallp...khness_wall.jpg
  6. SSA, Yes this is true, we should be thankful to have had such amazing gurus. If only we could have been alive during that time to actually meet them.... can you imagine that?
  7. ssa very good point... there are so many of these little sikh kids i see around everywhere, so-called little thugs that think it's so cool to be in gangs, etc.
  8. Friends, Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh. I was planning on going to India, and want to buy a couple of vajas (harmoniums), and wondering which ones are the best ones that you would recommend to me, and from where to get them. All help would be appreciated, because I don't know much about the different types and brands. I see lots of raagis with ones that say "YAMUNA" on them, but don't know where to get one, and if there's even anythign better. I'm willing to spend money for quality. Thank you, everyone. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh.
  9. WJKK WJKF Personally, I think you're doing a great job... More power to you, and spread sikhi as much as you can... WJKK WJKF
  10. bindy bains, see this is what is truly called "seva"... a few people, responding to somebody they don't even really know, and willing to help them out in any way they can... this is one of the times, that i am truly proud to be sikh... thank you so much for helping out and showing your love... the site's address is www.sikhness.com... and it's a site, where sikhs can get together and basically just talk about things and get support especially after 9/11... i've known many people who have cut their hair after 9/11, and i think it is preventable... i have nothing against people who do cut their hair, but i don't believe it should be done because of these 9/11 reasons... and there's some other cool stuff on there too... it's brand new and we're starting to get a lot of users now, so check it out, and please link to it... anybody that links to it, let me know, and i will definitely add your link on the sikhness.com links page as well... gotta support the cause, know what i mean? rb :TH:
  11. Yes Paneet, That would so awesome if you could do that, I would definitely appreciate it. The link is http://www.sikhness.com and a description of it can be found on the main page. 13. Well, I'm not sure if they are allowed in sikhi, but YEA... girls like it with a LOT of bling... trust me... technically, i don't think there's anything against it, it's just a symbol of love... u know, ring... circle... of love... i think rb
  14. sadh sangat ji, sat sri akal... i was wondering if anybody has any good suggestions on how to promote a website? Somebody mentioned using Google or Adwords, but it's not that type of business website, it's a website based on sikhi? how to get the word out? any suggestions? hopefully a way that doesn't require any or much money at all... i would be ever greatful... thank you all... waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh. rb :T:
