  1. the list is stupid. how can it include gajinder singh a mere hijacker, but not include wadwaha singh babbar? indian gov stupid. unless the 20 list is the same as the one from 2001 which did include babbar.
  2. tubelight - you are right, he should stand up and speak of human rights openly - BUT HE HASNT. im not sure he even has spoke about gujrat riots let alone sikh riots. what type of decent policitian is he?
  3. shouldnt more gurdwaras being feeding homeless (even if they drink or take drugs) etc with langar - mobile soup kitchen styleee? instead of serving up already fat men who come to gurdwara to socialise? any views?
  4. the point is that, as a sikh, he can goto any guru ghar he likes BUT as a sikh, in a position of power and influence on a world stage, he should STAND UP for sikh rights OPENLY. in that respect, i havent seen him do or say anything which is PRO SIKH RIGHTS. in essence he is the same as Manmohan Singh, a SILENT PUPPET of the bahmans.
  5. very perceptive post. i myself have thought about this daily for the last 8 years but sadly have not done anything about it. we should investigate how you can put books into a public library in the uk us canada etc and donate as many 1984 books as possible. gurdwaras should do this if they had any sense at all.
  6. these people are a disgrace. badal has no pride.
  7. spaminder i sense that you are trying to ridicule some sikhs attempts at achieving something. if that is your intention then you should be ashamed of yourself.
  8. tribuneindia the article above forgets to mention that the SGPC honours them each year. this year no different. they cannot play down the fact that the SGPC honours them too. Amritsar, October 31 Even as the Congress party organised a Sankalp Diwas function to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi, the head priest of the Golden Temple, Giani Dharam Singh, paid rich tributes to her assassins here today. Addressing a large gathering at the bhog of Beant Singh, one of the killers of the former Prime Minister, in the Golden Temple complex, the head priest said history was a witness that those who had dared to attack the Golden Temple would meet a similar fate. He said Sikhs were always ready to make supreme sacrifices to save the honour of the Panth. He said the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) had organised the ceremony to recall the sacrifices made by them. Besides priests Granthi Mal Singh and Giani Jagtar Singh, SGPC secretaries Harbeant Singh and Ranvir Singh, additional secretaries Major Singh and Gurdarshan Singh, deputy secretary Tarlochan Singh, Angrez Singh, Dilbagh Singh and Harbhajan Singh Manawa, chief gurdwara inspector Sukhdev Singh Bhura Kohna, in charge and assistant in charge of the Publicity Department Ram Singh and Iqbal Singh Mukhi, accountant Harinderpal Singh, members of the Dharam Prachar Committee, staff of the SGPC and hundreds of devotees were among those present on the occasion.
  9. i agree that a travel ban is the best practical option. no one will be arrested whilst abroad. we can only lobby for a travel ban. this will highlight to the world what these dogs have done.
  10. i have heard of this story before. it is true. the singh was right to snatch his dastaar.
  11. i agree with gabroo. khalistan will not be taliban
  12. sant ji did start the dharam yudh morcha but combined it with the akalis rail rasto roko etc morcha etc after amrik singhs arrest in july 1982. the akalis already had the rail rasta roko etc morcha started before sant ji - it was linked to the time during the emergency
