  1. I am sorry but we might be wrong in using the words 'my country' or 'countrymen' for India and Indians.
  2. This is correct. I was once, during my college days told by a bus conductor mate in Punjab that he too went for recruitment for PRTC Bus conductors 'interview' and the trend was to meet Bibi ji(Surinder Kaur) with one lakh rupees at bungalow and he didn't have that sum and thus missed out on govt job. Corruption is has always been rife in Badals' circles. Waheguru is the best judge and indeed he'll do justice to everyone.
  3. Does anyone know do they still organise London Sikhi week in Uni's? I went to one a couple of years ago and found it amazing.
  4. You know what mate...no-one can know this better than you. All people on this forum won't know the finer details about the Girl and her family more than you. It's easier to say just break the engagement coz she lied to you but what's the guarantee any other girl will tell you truth about each and everything. Just a simple question...How many girls and boys for that matter reveal to their partners on how many ppl have they had sex with before? People lie and lie big..... its you who can decide whether to persist with her or not....just get to know her better and see what's she's on about....and then decide what step to take.
  5. These guys are brainwashed and more significantly dishonest man. Arguing with them is like banging your head against a brick wall. Coz they won't accept no logic. To them quran is the only logic. The best way to shut em up is to question about Muhammad's life and his wives. Him marrying a 4 yr old and indulging in child sex and then also his marriage with Safiyah the 18 yr old jewish girl whose family he murdered and had sex with her the same night. Combine these facts and question him if such a person can truly be a role model for humanity? Go to sites like www.faithfreedom.org and wikiislam. You gotto know enough before you debate. Also question about heaven 72 virigns and stuff and y muhammad had arond 10 wives wheres muslims are allowed 'only' 4 each.
  6. I had an awful tough time reading this dude's posts and what he really meant.....lol i dnt think it would be appropriate for me to divulge in details why i employ bhaiyyas....but anyways reitrating my point i would again say Hindus in general are the enemies of Sikhi and they will always be...the soon we realise the better it is. Period. And if you have to reply to me you can do it in Punjabi.
  7. http://www.punjabnewsline.com/content/view/18027/38/ RSS leader Rulda Singh succumbs to his injuries at PGI GAGANDEEP AHUJA Saturday, 15 August 2009 PATIALA: Rulda Singh, head of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, an affiliate of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has succumbed to his injuries in PGI Chandigarh in the wee hours of Saturday. Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Dy CM Sukhir Singh Badal have mourned the death of Rulda Singh. He was shot at and seriously injured his shop cum flat t Grain Market in Patiala in Punjab by three unidentified assailants on July 28. Rulda Singh, known as a Sikh face of Hindu fundamentalist organisation RSS has had his background in Damdami Taksal, the same Sikh seminary where Jarnail Singh Bhinderanwala studied. Later he joined RSS, perceived by a major section of Sikhs to be anti-Sikhism. Of late he has been issuing statements critical of the Shiromani Akali Dal led by Parkash Singh Badal exhorting its alliance partner BJP to leave the coalition. The Babbar Khalsa Internationl (BKI) had claimed responsibility for the attack on him. Punjab Local bodies & Industries Minister Manoranjan Kalia has expressed deep grief on the sad demise of Rulda Singh. He said that BJP and as well as RSS has lost its precious diamond. Kalia spoken to PGI director Dr. KK Talwar over phone for speedy discharge of dead body from PGI as no doctors were available for post mortem due to Independence Day –holiday.
  8. How ignorant your statement is regarding indians and sikhs not actually playing but just watching cricket. i'm 25 and have been playing since last 18 years of my life and can confirm that the amount of cricket indians play and are passionate about is just unmatchable. Iv'e been playing in a London league for 2 years and misc cricket in london fron 4 years and have found out that the number of indians playing cricket in leagues or in parks is second to none. Even in the English national team currently there are 2 sikhs (Bopara and Panesar) and 2 pakis (shah and rashid). Although i find it surprising that indians in u.k although well off in terms of professional careers and jobs still manage to find out enough time for cricket. Probably it's all coz of ther passion for the game.
  9. more than shashtars sikhs need to carry some courage...british born sikhs, well most of em have brought tremendous disgrace to the panth.
  10. Pakis are all the same. I was at Lords the other day and these young pakis were very vocal, shouting pakistan zindabad and allah hu akbar in newzealand southafrica match, one gora had objection to it and subsequently had alteracation with this paki mob who shouted and chanted at him as he was a upper stands and soon complained to police and this individual was removed from the ground. I was particluarly surprised to see the police reaction who witnesed eerything and yet didn't remove no paki as they were stirring major trouble. One thing's for sure, Pakis play the racism card very well. During india west indies match pakis had come as well, and my mate who works in lords told me that as soon as pakis started their allah hu akbar stuff there, they had verbal confrontation with sikh guys who chanted things like "we dont f**k our sisters" and stuff like that and pakis had no clue and kept quiet as they were outnumbered as well. If people keep quiet and be scared they are most likely to be walked over and crushed but if they stand up to it they they'l emerge victorious coz pakis are aggressive and violent but not necessarily brave to withstand counter attack. If Sikhs are to defend themselves against these animals they have to counter attack and show strength or else watch themselves being beaten.
  11. I can see how we still have people in u.k who are willing to clean up this mess and take this problem head on if needed. All we need is to get together and act rather than arguing over petty differences of opinions that we have. akjatha lion, cov, sarpanch veer e.t.c keep it up.
  12. Yeah....both are named as Sikh Channels.....let's hope both serve a panthic agenda.
  13. To be honest, if we are even to think about tackling these issues we need to think one step ahead and not ponder once the damage has been done. In this case i am 70% certain if not fully that this is a dodgy group created to mislead and corrupt sikh girls by inviting them over to melas, praising them about being sexy etc....I won't be surprised tho i am just speculating that in the process messeges are being sent to them inviting them to various nightclubs at weekends.....where guys might be already present to 'prey' at them.
  14. Well, either no-one sees a merit in my claims or no-one cant be bothered about this issue anymore. It's sad really........ (This is when i miss punjab the most...).
  15. Those Girls wouldn't be foolish and ignorant if they already knew wat's it all about.
  16. Fateh Everyone, I was checking my facebook profile and had a notification that a friend of mine had joined this group. When I tried to have a look at it, no detail is given of its members as it's a closed group and it just seems to me personallly another attempt by some muslim to mis-guide our girls. The upcoming events listed on the right hand side are are all 'melas' with the first one being Baishakhi Mela at Brick Lane which is bengali event and not a Punjabi or Sikh event. Personally, to me this seems as another attempt to reach out to Sikh Girls...get them over to melas and rest you all know. What do you guys make of it? Am i right or talking crap? What can be done to verify it and make sure sikh girls dont fall into this trap? http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=69723006304&ref=nf
  17. Bijla Singh Ji rocks as usual !!!!!! If i am right i think Bijla Singh has discussed this issue previously as well and was rooted in my memory, but a detailed explanation here's gonna refresh minds like mine and inform many others. Thanks Bijla Singh Ji. One More Thing: Won't it be better if we all including me analyse how much knowledgeable we actually are and then pass judgements on Gurbani. Coz i have noticed some people have little knowledge of gurbani and pass their judgements on sacred gurbani as experts or scholars. I think we should learn to learn more and more or shall i say we should learn to be sikhs rather than just voice opinions just for the sake of it without substantial amount of knowledge. Some of the comments like bani is contradictory (waheguru) etc were just outrageous, offensive and shocking. I feel ppl who have uttered such opinions should do ardas and seek forgiveness from waheguru.
  18. Has anyone here has studied or studying in London Metropolitan Uni. Or does anyone know how it is? I was checking the rankings but couldn't find lon met anywhere? Can anyone suggest if it's a decent uni to be in?
  19. http://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/jpost/access/1...efore+his+death The Indian commando raid launched to save the lives of Jewish and Israeli hostages at Mumbai's Chabad House may have inadvertently ended the lives of one or more of the hostages, the head of a six-man ZAKA team in the terror- stricken Indian city told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday. Speaking by phone from Mumbai, Haim Weingarten, the head of the Mumbai ZAKA team, said, "Based on what I saw, [although] I can't identify the type of bullets in the bodies [of the victims], I don't think the terrorists killed all the hostages, to put it gently." Members of the ZAKA team found the bodies of six Jewish hostages at the Chabad House minutes after a two-day raid by Indian commandos ended on Saturday. However, Indian security forces ordered them out of the building before they could remove the bodies, fearing they would step on grenades scattered throughout the facility. The security forces allowed them to return only hours later http://www.panthic.org/news/129/ARTICLE/4576/2008-12-05.html Musings on last week's bloody 'drama' played out in Mumbai, India (Op/Ed) Friday 5th of December 2008 Dr. Amarjit Singh, Khalistan Affairs Center Is the Indian Army planning to lance across the Indo-Pak border, under it’s new ‘Cold-start’military doctrine, to hit Muridke, in Pakistan, where the banned and demonized Lashkar-a-Taoba, a pro-Kashmiri militant organization used to have it’s madrassas and headquarters? Will the Pakistan Army retaliate to any Indian ‘Cold-start’provocation by firing short-range missiles into the heart of Amritsar? Jersusalam Post newspaper report claims Indian commandos killed Jewish hostages, held captive in the Cultural & Out-reach center in Mumbai, last week Washington D.C. Wednesday - The 26 November, 2008, murder of the chief of the MumbaiAnti Terrorist Squad, one Hemant Karkare - an excellent Police officer of Inspector General rank, who was investigating leads to a number of terrorist incidents, carried out in 2008 all over India by the right wing Neo-Nazi Hindutva crowd (just before state and general election are due to be held) may also hold the key to the riddle as to who was behind the 3-days mass killing by gunmen last week in India’s premier commercial city of Mumbai in which 173 were killed and nearly three hundred were injured. Who gains by Karkare’s murder? Hindutva thugs. They were feeling the heat of the investigation into their role in recent terror bombings which had killed innocent members of Christian and Muslim minorities in different parts of India. With Karkare’s murder all the files on Hindutva thuggish and bomb-making activities will be pigeon-holed! Reports from sources in India also indicate that days before last week’s carnage in Mumbai, by fanatical gunmen of unknown nationalities, the Indian Army General Headquarters (GHQ) had cancelled leave, for some reason, (prescience?) of some IndianArmy units. Personnel from these units have been stealthily moving into positions nearAjnala, Patti, Ramdas and other cantonments, in Indian-occupied Punjab, Khalistan, opposite Muridke, located in Pakistan, where the demonized Lashkar-a-Taiba is known to have its headquarters. Maybe the Indian army high command wants to test this new, much trumpeted,Army doctrine of ‘Cold Start’ under which selected Indian troops, riding in helicopters, can lance across the Indo-Pakistan border nearby and hit Lashkar-a-Taiba and other infrastructure which action would rattle and destabilize the enemy – an already destabilized Pakistan. That seems to be the intent of the IndianArmy’s ‘Cold-start doctrine’and may be another clue to the master minds of last week’s Mumbai carnage in which nearly two hundred people were killed and many more hundreds were injured. One should not forget that Indian operatives are quite capable of staging a mass murder of innocents, as they did in Chitthisinghpura, in Indian occupied Kashmir, when 35 innocent Sikhs were gunned down, by the Indian Army, in the year 2000, to make a spectacular news flash to tarnish the Kashmiri freedom movement synchronized with President Clinton’s state visit to India. There have been a number of other staged incidents where innocent people have been murdered by Indian Intelligence agencies to create a ‘situation’. The above mentioned new Indian Army ‘Cold-Start’ doctrine, it’s authors feel, does away with the need for marching thousands of troops from distant cantonments to the border as was the case during ‘Operation Parakram,’ the massive troop build-up that took place after the phony Parliament House attack drama, orchestrated by Indian intelligence agencies, in Dec. 2001. Under this new ‘Cold-start’ doctrine Indian troops can be (LINK) massed on the Indo-Pak border, for purpose of coercive diplomacy, in stealth, (without much fanfare and without long and very visible Army truck convoys or troop trains or route marches) to link up with troops, helicopters, supplies already positioned there in underground tunnels, instead of the slow and steady accumulation of firepower, supplies and men that used to take place earlier. Military observers are of the opinion that this ‘Cold-start’ Indian Army doctrine, dreamed up by some swollen-headed, dim-witted, armchair ‘Napoleon’ in India, may be effective against a lightly armed opponent, like the Kurds in Northern Iraq, or the Nagas in Nagaland, but is suicidal against an enemy armed with missiles. Every one knows that Pakistan has, over and above it’s long range nuclear missiles, a number of short and medium range conventional missiles which can easily fly across the Pakistan-India border in less than two minutes, if Islamabad is provoked by an armed ‘Cold-start’ helicopter intrusion into it’s territory by the Indian army. Also life would become very miserable, under a ‘shower’ of retaliatory Pakistan missiles for the denizens of any border city, like Amritsar – an easy target - for example. Readers in the Sikh Homeland ought to lobby the Sikh Prime minister of India, Manmohan Singh, against any miscalculation, any ‘Cold-start’ adventure, by the Indian Armed forces in Muridke or some other Pakistani target. Such action could endanger, as a consequence, Sikh holy shrines in Indian occupied Punjab in general and Amritsar in particular and make life miserable for the 23 million unhappy Sikhs living in India, captive behind a barbed wire ‘Berlin Wall’ on the Indo-Pakistan border, since August 1947, when a bankrupt Imperial Britain quit South Asia in haste after World War II. Meanwhile the riddle about the identity of the gunmen, who carried out the murderous assault which paralyzed Mumbai for three days last week, is still unresolved although a senior and usually well informed Pioneer newspaper columnist, Dina Nath Mishra, (LINK) writing in the newspaper of 30 November, 2008, claims in his column (headlined, ‘New chapter of war Is anyone listening?’) that the ‘terrorists’ were from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Afghanistan which composition would indicates Al Qaida finger prints and not local elements. In another related development, a calculated effort last week by New Delhi’s crafty rulers (to use the TV images of Indian army helicopters trying to rescue six Jewish hostages from a 5-story Mumbai building) meant to muster support of the powerful worldwide Jewish media, in it’s ‘war of words’ with Pakistan, has boomeranged after the prestigious widely-read Jerusalam Post newspaper published, (on the front page of it’s Sunday edition, on 30 Nov. 2008) a report, by Yaakov Katz, headlined, ‘Indian forces may have killed some hostages.’ The Jerusalam Post, one of the world’s great newspaper, (LINK) published the article which appeared in the Jerusalam Post on Friday, quoted Israeli officials criticizing the way India handled the rescue operation of Jewish hostages in Mumbai. One official who criticized India was Israel’s Defense Minister Ehud Barak, a former Prime minister and Army Chief, who was quoted as saying that, ‘Indian forces were not on par with elite Israeli units.” Speaking by phone from Mumbai, Haim Weingarten, the head of the Israeli ZAKA team, which had rushed to India said that, “Based on what I saw, [although] I can’t identify the type of bullets in the bodies [of the victims], I don’t think the terrorists killed all the hostages, to put it gently.” The report quoted Haim Weingarten as saying that all six Jewish and Israeli hostages found dead in the Chabad House were killed by either gunshot wounds or shrapnel from grenade blasts, or both, adding that he didn’t know who threw or fired the grenades that wounded the hostages. The Jerusalam Post quoted another source as saying that he was puzzled by a number of aspects of the response by Indian security forces to the Chabad House siege. “I was surprised by the fact that the raid was launched in broad daylight at 7:30 in the morning. It was a daylight assault with helicopters, which I found puzzling,” the source said. The future of 23 million Sikh captive in the Indian map lies in an independent buffer state of Khalistan, stretching from the Indo-Pak border in the West to the Jumna river on the East. We have no place in India.
  20. Muslims are desperate for attention and are always on lookout for such platforms from where there can rant and invite people to their wicked faith that they believe in. I am surprised there was no Sikh to confront them peacefully when they were talking about Sikhism. Now about those remarks on Hair, i have been asked this question countless times by muslims. They have got this thing rooted in their head that hair are not hygenic and have to be cut to keep oneself pure. When you ask them about applying the same logic to beard which is often exposed to dirt and pollution (especially in asian countries) as opposed to body hair they have no logical explanation. They believe in it coz Prophet paedo said so. May God liberate earth from this faith full of hate.
  21. Brother the link you gave me doesn't work but i have managed to search what you wanted us to listen. WORTH LISTENING.
  22. Big up to all the singhs who have taken up the challenge and decided to fight pakis head on. They might not be fully along with the lines of gurmat but are still better than internet warriors who'l cricticise anything they stumble upon.
  23. Trust me, he's not. Zakir Naik is indeed very Knowledgeable on Islam but i feel he's very cunning, dishonest and misleading. He often cites false figures to justify issues like Polygamy etc. And i read his views on Sikhism in his study on comparitive religion where he says Guru Nanak patshah was influenced by Kabir Ji and satguru patshah would often go to muslims for advice.....i mean why would satguru patshah go to anyone for any advice when he himself was ek-jot with waheguru and on what evidence did Zakir Naik wrote all dat shyt? And then Ali Sina of faithfreedom.org had also done a written commentary on Zakir Naik's debate with christian scholar William Campbell whom muslims site as a victory. Ali sina has revealed how Zakir Naik attributed a number of verses from quran in one go and said amidst thunderous claps from muslims that these verses explain water cycle in 'great detail' but when the verses were anaysed there was no rocket science or great detail. They were very basic things that are seen by naked eye but surely if i would have been present among the audience i would also have been impressed. Zakir Naik's surely a great orator and perfomer but hardly a honest propogator of truth.
  24. LOL....u must be kidding mate...Nihal's a Srilankan
  25. Harbhajan's not all that bad. Did Harbhajan bring ravan's costumes from his home and gave a surprise performance in his show? No. It is a dance show, directed and produced by Hindus personalities. Numerous rehearsels would have been performed and finally the real performance would have been shot in front of cameras. No one had any objection to it. Even Hindus masses i guess had no objection to it until Akal Takht Jathedar issued a statement, crictising Harbhajan and their main concern was about Harbhajan being a Sikh and putting a tilak on his forehead and dancing in ravan's avtar. Guys don't cricticise him for no reason. He a lovely god-fearing guy who has done sikhs proud. His only fault i guess is that he isn't perfect or a Gursikh as we expect.
