  1. Using gurbani viakran rules the correct meaning for the tuk you have posted is: One who kills himself through the vichaar (of shabad i.e. naam abhiyaas) is saved and does not enter birth again. Here vichaar means the vichaar of shabad, not thoughts. The meaning you have given is the one PMKC use, and you will probably ignore gurbani vikaran rules in favour of believing in your mahapurash above all else. The veechar here is spelt with a sihaari at the end which gives the meaning THROUGH. SO if you give the meaning of vichaar as thoughts then the meaning would become "through the thoughts one is saved" which doesn't make sense. So the correct meaning of vichaar in this case must mean "shabad di vichaar" So through the concentration on gurshabad/gurmantar our mind is killed, hence we become saved and free from rebirth. In any case both meanings are similar so I won't get into an argument about this. Your meanings are still fine under gurmat principles.
  2. I'm glad you brought this up. Anti raag mala group have not ripped out angs but they did ink the raag mala. NOTE: this was nothing to do with AKJ, it was panthic scholars of that time who gathered together and were 100% sure raag mala was not bani. And guess where this happended? Akal Takth Sahib! They were panthic gursikh scholars who didn't assign themselves to any group. The tables have turned now, the majority believe in raag mala today, but it was the opposite then. It just happens to be that out of the main groups of today it is AKJ who doesn't believe. In those times panthic sikhs didn't really belong to a group but to the panth and put faith only in Guru Sahib, rather then a particular sant. So the scholars (again not linked with akj at all) inked the raag mala as they did 100% believed raag mala was kachi bani. They had real proper knowledge, gained after many decades, not like us. Now let's look at the extremist pro raag mala "sikhs". They believed in the gurbani that they burned! They did it intentionally. Where as the scholars only inked that portion due to believing it was definately kachi bani. So those that burned all those saroops without raag mala, knowing it was sachi bani, well I can't imagine what they will have to face in dargah. Ram rai INTENTIONALLY changed one word of gurbani to satisfy the moghuls, ram rai knew he was changing sach bani and he knew what he was changing was infact gurbani. Panthic scholars GENUINELY believed raag mala was kachi bani and not fit to be in Guru Granth Sahib. They only inked on that occasion in a panthic setting with all types of panthic scholars present. You have the nerve to try and justify burning of puratan saroops. p.s. pro raag mala have no answer to MANY puratan saroops being without raag mala which were written decades/centuries before Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh was even born! Whereas saroops with raag mala typically contain other kachi bani (ratan mala etc) which was removed by khalsa panth. It's only, for some reason, that raag mala became a big deal. The panth was about to remove raag mala along with the other kachi bani contained in some saroops at the end. There was no opposition to removing things like ratan mala, but removing raag mala turned into a big controversy for some reason.
  3. Also I want to make this clear incase these over the top pro raag mala ppl try to mislead the sangat, particularly the young innocent members. The Guru roop Khalsa Panth, through Sri Akal Takht, decided a long time ago that it is upto to the individual sikh whether or not to read/believe in raag mala or not. So it is legit, under the hukum of Khalsa panth, to either believe in Raag Mala or not to believe in it. In the early days raag mala was not even read at akal takth sahib! only when a taksali became jathedaar did he change this marada without going through proper procedures of panthic approval. Even in Sant Jarnail Singh's time raag mala was not read. Infact a taksali singh read raag mala there and Sant jee ended up slapping him!! The reason was that Sant jee respected the akal takht marada and told the taksali to never impose his beliefs and marayda on akal takht again. Now imagine if Sant jee had a narrow immature mind like some people here? In that case sant jee would have praised the singh and started going on about how those who don't read raag mala are like ram rai. Instead Sant jee slapped him to preserve the supremecy of Akal takth! These things are beyond the understaning of the likes of Singh123456777. These types create hatred in the panth becasue of their extreme views against those who don't believe in raag mala. I request the likes of Singh12345677 to try to be more like Sant jee and let go of your own cleverness. Sangat jee, don't fall for their propaganda. Never place trust in ppl who are willing to burn puratan saroops of Guru Granth Sahib jee just because they don't contain raag mala. They are trying to destroy the puratan evidence. Not only are the guilty of maha beadbi of guru sahib (burning the saroops) they are basically destroying our historical treasures (the puratan saroops).
  4. Those of have done agan bhet for that reason have no chance of being saved. The most dangerous "sikhs" are in the pro rag mala group. You don't see those who don't believe in rag mala going after saroops with rag mala and setting the saroops on fire. pure evil, they are enemies of Satguru who burn saroops to hide evidence of raag mala not being bani. Pro rag mala ppl believe in their particular sant and ignore all the scholarly ecidence. you can't reason with them. Then when they have no proof they come out with this sant has dib drishtee to know that this and that happened. Then at the point it's impossible to debate properly. Noone in modern times has greater dib drishti then Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh. His kmayee was just tooo much. Maha maha speical GurSikh!
  5. EH!? You would lose your respect for Bhai Sahib? Have you yet again forgot what poem Sant Gurbachan Singh wrote about Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh? It's definately not true that Bhai Sahib believed in Raag Mala. But I don't want to enter this particular argument, you have the right to believe what you want. Anyways for the sake of your soul, don't trust your mind. The mind is very cunning and dangerous. Trust Sant jee. Say to yourself that even if Bhai Sahib didn't believe in raag mala I must place trust in Sant jee and respect Bhai Sahib no matter what, as Sant jee did so clearly. Remember this that either way Sant ji wrote the poem and had very high respect for Bhai Sahib. Do some real unbiased research on Bhai Sahib. You will find his kmayee is unmatched in modern times.
  6. LOL Singh123456777 you still don't get it! Despite this big difference even Sant Gurbachan Singh, who I'm sure you consider a great mahapurash, praised the greatness and kmayee of Bhai Randhir Singh! Why can't you realise this? Remember your way of thinking is tiny compared to Sant Gurbachan Singh. Sant jee didn't just praise Bhai Sahib in a normal way, he dedicated a poem for him! Read the poem again atleast 10 times. Can you imagine Sant jee praising ram rai? Do you really think you have more wisdom then Sant jee??? This is so clear then only a moorakh would have difficulity understanding. Sant jee very CLEARLY praised Bhai Sahib in a very loving and great way. End of story. Them having a big difference doesn't take away this FACT. If you really want to talk about raag mala. Let's first discuss the fact that ALL samaradas and nihangs have mad respect for Mahakavi Santokh Singh, who didn't even believe in rag mala! So first complain about and discuss maha kavi santokh singh before mentioning Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh! Really really reflect over this, becuase I have a feeling that you're just being polite on here. Who knows how much ninda you have done of huge kmayee wala gursikhs like Bhai Randhir Singh behind closed doors. This type of mahapurash di ninda certainly leads one to the most awful naraks. And if someone only does ninda of Bhai Randhir Singh (becuase of rag mala) but doesn't complain about Mahakavi Santokh Singh (or perhaps even praise kavi ji for his great work of sooraj prakash) then that person will get further punishments for unfair discrimination. This unfair biased unjust discrimination is totally forbidden in Gurbani. So either have huge respect for both Bhai Sahib and kavi ji OR slander them both. Can't have it both ways. For the sake of your soul really really think about this properly..
  7. Here are the undeniable facts in this debate: The meateaters have made ithaas writings their True Guru rather then Gurbani. Those who believe eating meat is against sikhi is because they believe this is overall hukum of gurbani, so they have made Guru Granth Sahib jee their only Guru. Only Gurbani is pure Sach. Nothing else is I'm afraid. There are three main differing views about eating meat in the khalsa panth: 1) anti - eating meat wrong 2) neutral - let everyone do their own thing don't argue about these things 3) pro - non-halal meat allowed (nihangs more strict only allow jhatka meat) In Guru Granth Sahib jee you will find tuks to support view 1 and view 2. But here is the thing. No tuks to support view 3! This is why you see pro meat sikhs always bringing up tuks which support view 2 only and have the nerve to ignore the tuks supporting view 1. Can anyone who ignores gurbani be a true sikh? Are they not slandering Guru Sahib. Those who slander will have to bear the consequences. What sachiyaar gursikhs do is they try to respect and follow ithaas but use the fliter of gurbani to ignore the non gurmat parts in it. Remember history was not written and given the stamp of approval by Guru parmeshar So finally is Guru Granth Sahib (pure sach) your Guru or are historical writings your Guru? If you want Guru Sahib to be your saviour then don't make the mistake of disrespecting Gurbani by ignoring it and putting Gurbani lower then some historical writings.
  8. sharon kaur ji, it's because each amrit sanchar gives a different rehit. so yes amrit is amrit, but it's about what rehit i personally believe in. sorry if i caused offence. does anyone know the dates of the next amrit sanchar?
