  1. haha dont worry, i had windows 98 until last year. shabad meaning... That humble being who is imbued with the Immaculate Naam that person who forever does naam jaap, paath, sewa simran etc O Nanak, is himself the Primal Lord, the Architect of Destiny (guru) nanak (says), such a person becomes godly like in their ways. i dont think mahraj literally meant we will become god, but our actions will become more godly like. Without meeting the True Guru, the Naam cannot be found. naam can be interpretated as another word for peace, naam could refer to amrit but i am assuming here naam is another name for peace. other tuks i can think of are "naam bina sabh duniya chaar" (without the name, the world is an illusion). if we think about it, how much peace do we get at times when we say "waheguroo"? so i would say its another name for peace. remember, SGGS was not made just for sikhs, it was something that people from different religions could turn to. And so, by reciting other names such as "aum", "allah" etc, other people find peace. From my limited knowledge i believe that "naam" is another word for peace. WJKK WJKF
  2. you want us to do your homework now, do u? well if you want me to post all 10 questions then no problem :-p but seriously, i cant seem to find the answer in the book, really stressing me out. anyone please?
  3. can anyone help me answering these 4 essdays, theres 10 in total, just these four i am a bit stressing out over. 1. It is often been observed that labour supply is not very responsive to tax changes. Why might this be the case? 2. How does the theory of intertemporal choice and investment suggest that investment in education will be affected by "ability"? 3. The consumption of highly paid professionals such as lawyers and novelists, fluctuate less from year to year than their incomes. Why is this? 4. Will an increase in interest rates neccessarily increase saving? Explain
  4. can someone post me the shabad here that goes "hamre pyare amritdhari re gur nimakh na man te dhari re" (i dont know how to use STTM, i know im a bit unpar in that sense lool) im also looking for the shabad sang by bhai balbir singh when he did keertan at darbar sahib in may 2007. if anyone can also post it here thanks http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=gTz4AKHWU6A&...feature=related the audio to this
  5. i think if you do economics, i would prob say rab bhala kare. I actually do something quite similiar to HGM, i do economics and psychology at edinburgh uni and im in 3rd (im doing more psychology modules). I didnt really enjoy the economics in 2nd year uni. There was alot of maths involved. It is totally different to the a level economics you get. But, although there are people who will advise you on doing the course, my personal view would be that you consider a) how well you do in a levels economics b) how well you do in a level maths (although you dont neccesarily need a level maths to do economics at uni, it is strongly reccomended), or if not, how well you did in GCSE maths c) also how well you can grasp new terminology and new formulae. Right now im kinda struggling. thats my 2 pence anyway

  9. i know it sounds like a daft q but.... just wandering, when is the 300years gurgaddi divas? i was at the celebrations in loughborough, but i dont know...for some reason it doesnt feel like a gurpurab today. theres nothing on alpha to show coverage from hazoor sahib, they did no ardas to commemorate the 300years, there was no jaloe sahib. so how come, harmandir sahib hasnt celebrated the 300 years (which i thought was today)?
