  1. I really have no idea about medicine, and Im not questioning Dr Mani's knowledge on it...but isnt the stethoscope used to measure the heart beat or something like that? The thing that you pump on your arm (blood pressure monitor?), doesnt THAT measure your'e blood pressure? Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  2. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Veer ji, I think you are taking the words too literally. Why question if an amritdhari Sikh should wear a kirpan, when Guru Jee has himself stated, (as well as being in the Reht Maryada) that EVERY Amritdhari Gursikh MUST wear a Kirpan as well as the Kara, Kashera, Kanga and Kesh. On the issue of non-amritdhari's wearing a kirpan (as well as the other kakaars), I feel that if a Sehjdhari (someone who keeps their kesh, does nitnem and reads the other banis, keeps their Reht, and is looking to take Amrit in the near future), wears a Kirpan then that is okay. Anyone who is a "casual" Sikh ie wears a dastaar and keeps their kesh, should not wear the kirpan. They just dont have the right. Having said that, I have known a lot of Gursikhs, who before they were amritdhari, did not used to wear a Kirpan. Even though they were "pakay" in their reht, nitnemey etc. They used to say they were not ready for it. Only after they had taken Amrit. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  3. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! The main Rensbai on Saturday will be broadcast live on Punjab Radio between 10pm and 2am. Punjab Radio is available on Sky Digital channel 880 and via the website, www.punjabradio.co.uk. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  4. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I too would like "Doctor" Mani to explain his reasons for why he thinks it is okay for Sikhs to go to Mandir. The question I ask is why would a Gursikh want to go to a Mandir in the first place? Why go to a place where rituals and ceremonies take place, ones that Guru Jee has told us to stay away from? What would you want to do there? Forgive me if I sound ignorant, but I see no logic in this when you have the Gurdwara, the Home of the Guru, to fulfill your needs. Another benti to "Dr Mani". Could you please stop patronising us by stating definations from the Dictionary? We are not patients or students attending your lectures, and we dont need these definations to help us understand what these words mean. Just by putting a "Doctor" infront of your name, doesnt mean you have the right to question our knowledge. Forgive me if I have offended anyone, Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  5. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! When was the last time you heard of a Gursikh having a heart attack or going into cardiac arrest from doing simran? Puratan Gursikhs who were well into their 70's and 80's did Saas Giraas simran for nearly their whole lives, and they were in near perfect healthy condition!! And why is there so much debate about the heart when it comes to Simran, when surely it is the MIND that matters? If your'e mind is at one with Guru Jee, do you think he will let you have an heart attack? Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
