wow alot of hypocrited on this forum.. alot of people go on like no you shouldnt wear a kara if your not fully a proper sikh, yet your the same ones who go on about muslims taking away apparant 'sikh' girls.. question i pose to you is, if your not a 'practising' sikh and you cant be classed as a sikh if you only wear a kara, why do you lot consider these girls 'sikhs' when associating them with getting influenced by muslims boys??

i was reading the other day that everton football club were staging a BNP rally. in terms of how massive this is i wil explain: 1. they are a football club, a very big one at that and have been in european competitions and are a team known very well amongst football fans. 2. they RE ARRANGED a football game for this rally to take place, thats a huge thing to do for any poltical party, especially the BNP, its frankly, outrageous! i dont follow there movement much in terms of reading up on them etc, but when i read the above i was shocked, as there almost mixing up in the norm! + the rally was due to take place in liverpool city centre, i mean i know its somewhat of a racist city, but i didnt encounter any racism whilst i was there (well not as much as some had wanred me about) so this came as a shock, i mean i couldve been doing my grocery shopping in town and got caught up in the middle of a BNP rally, that would be funny and not so funny all at the same time..

big up respect to this post, i couldnt have worded it better if id tried! if only all people could adopt a similar mindset then we'd probably have fewer problems! but even though i agree with your post almost fully, i still feel that sub-sections take too much of what they want and work almost solely on that, again, egotism in its finest form..! it seems like there all a makeshift for the bigger picture, some weaker than others... they all lead to a similar or the same goal, but at what price??

well, we seem to have enough groups on cussing out every other tom <banned word filter activated> and harry, so i thought id post a topic with problems a bit closer to home! why is it, we have so many different groups in sikhi today?? why are there so many divides in sikhi in terms of some people agreeing to part written in the guru granth sahib and some people contesting it?? i know this is a touchy subject and i know some people dont actually know how to discuss on here, rather make statements that are nailed on with no grey areas! so people, shall we discuss what can be done to help us to get along better with one another? whether you be an AKJ, or a new age nihang, or whatever other group people are associated with these days.. not only that but this new student federation thats opened up along boss, i mean i have no problems at all with the new one as they seem to want to do more to help the youth of today (from what ive read) but wouldnt it have been a decent enough idea to jus combine and revamp boss rather than making a breakaway group thus providing you with issues in terms of attracting students to a group that they dont know too well, which hasnt been tried or tested, whereas boss has?? im just throwing out ideas here, im sure your will flow just as nicely...

theres alot of help and support there aswell, just go in the evenings on a wednesday after 7, ask around and theyll be there or thereabouts in the classrooms as far as i know, located behind the langar hall.

im not too sure about the birmingham area, but if you want to branch out into the willenhall/walsall area, then willenhall gurdwara has classes every wednesday as far as i know, its taught by my thaya and theres a wealth of experience around the place.. hope this helps!
