  1. could you also get back to me to my views expressed in the point just above your post ^^^ Sat Sri Akaal
  2. "Brother, for me IT IS THE REAL SAU SAKHI. I dont care if u believe or not." okay ... i get what i needed out of you, my point here is that you believe that this is the real sau sakhi, do not force your views on to others on this forum or anybody else for that matter by writing in a bias manner, when you say things like ... "Now, in 1984, a Sant in Phagwara from Dukhniwaran Sahib Gurdwara, gave a part of the real Sau Sakhi to my uncle who is a kathavachak and granthi. " just because you believe it to be true doesnt mean it is, im sorry to be the one breaking this to you. so please dont write in a bias manner in your posts. however this is not to say that your uncle has/hasnt got the real version. Im saying you shouldnt use half baked truths to somehow back your views. "Everybody knows that the Sau Sakhi of Namdharis is fake, as it claimed Namdharis Guru would conquer India. That Guru died but couldn't conquer India, so OBVIOUSLY its fake." I still dont understand what you are trying to get at here ... was the gurus mission to conquer india or something ? could you please give me the excerpt of the "sau sakhi of namdharis" where it says this ... because im assuming here you did actually read it yourself and arent just writing what you have above on word of mouth theory and also bond singh ji if it was so obvious i wouldnt have asked "The one of Dalip Singh is fake too, as Dalip Singh has died, and he wasn't able to get back his kingdom... " 2. I'm referring to Maharaja Ranjit Singh. <<< your seperate post to the quote above so when you write dalip singh you mean ranjit singh ??? Sat Sri Akaal
  3. "The sant that gave the Sau Sakhi to my uncle, was a very rehitvan Sikh. So i dont think we should doubt a rehitvaan Sikh." The sant was 'rehitvaan' , sorry I do not know what this means, but him being 'rehitvaan' is not fact it is opinion more over it is your opinion and you are entitles to it but again you should not write with bias as it influences the reader. ** im assuming here that rehitvaan means a good thing ** "Anyways, revolutionary and gianvirdi, when did i say this version is 100% the real one.. It could be a possibility.... " in your first post you wrote this singh ji ... "Now, in 1984, a Sant in Phagwara from Dukhniwaran Sahib Gurdwara, gave a part of the real Sau Sakhi to my uncle who is a kathavachak and granthi. My uncle gave it to my dad, and both distributed it amongst people." now to be fair you didnt write 100% real sau sakhi which i agree with you, but you should agree with me that you wrote "gave a real sau sakhi". So this is to answer your query of when you said your uncles version of the sau sakhi is real "Everybody knows that the Sau Sakhi of Namdharis is fake, as it claimed Namdharis Guru would conquer India. That Guru died but couldn't conquer India, so OBVIOUSLY its fake." Everybody knows it is fake ? could you please clarify who is everybody ? your friends ? people on this forum ? orthodox sikhs ?namdhari guru's would conquer india ... im not too sure about what you mean here .. do you mean conquer india for land ? money ? power ? "The one of Dalip Singh is fake too, as Dalip Singh has died, and he wasn't able to get back his kingdom... " im sorry which dalip singh are you referring to ? Sat Sri Akaal
  4. "Most Sau Sakhis are tampered with. Versions were circulated (with appropriate changes) during the mutiny of 1857, prophesising a joint Anglo-Sikh victory over the Mughals. The Namdharias circulated versions in the 1860s supporting the claim of Ram Singh to be a reincarnation of Guru Gobind Singh and the future ruler of Hindustan. The supporters of Maharaja Duleep Singh impressed upon him a version in the 1880s prophesying his return to the Punjab as Maharaja with the help of the Russians. New editions of the Sau Sakhi continue to appear to boost the claims of impostors. Now, in 1984, a Sant in Phagwara from Dukhniwaran Sahib Gurdwara, gave a part of the real Sau Sakhi to my uncle who is a kathavachak and granthi. My uncle gave it to my dad, and both distributed it amongst people. My dad says he doesnt remember that clearly anymore, but hes sure such things are mentioned in it.. My dad said, that half page had become true by June 1984... And Half had yet to become..." okay am i the only one that finds the beginning of this post funny, most sau sakhis are fake but my one is real ! because my dad says so ! its funny how you say the namdharias one is fake and supporters of maharaj dalip singh is fake and whatever ... but because some one gave it to your dad its real ! and also why are you writing with such bias in your posts cant you write in another form ? you discard the views of others and claim yourself to be correct or should i say your fathers view "The Unholy Sheikhs shall be destroyed. Pirs and Mureeds shall be no more. " i have no idea what mureed means and i am interested to know what it means, im hoping someone can tell me also what does the shabad in Sri Dasam Granth Sahib mean "mitr pyare noo haal mureeda dha khena" The Lord shall manifest himself in body (as man). im assuming this is after the 10th avtar , but dont orthodox sikhs believe the Guru Granth Sahib the last and only jot of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, also in the ardas "aghya pai akaal ki .... guru granth ko manyo pargat guran ki deh " so if this is the case and one of the quotes above say the lord shall manifest himself in body how can this be ? my question of how can there be an human manifestation after Guru Granth Sahib is only valid on the assumption made that the quote is referring to times after Sri Satguru Gobind Singh Ji Sat Sri Akaal
  5. Sat Sri Akaal Am I correct in saying that Dr. Manmohan Singh is the most educated country leader in the world, I think he is the only leader with a Phd by the fact he as "Dr." prefixed to his name Sat Sri Akaal

  10. Im guilty of not reading the whole thread thoroughly so please forgive me if i repeat or overlook what somebody has already said. I believe having the 'himmat' (will/energy) to have ishnaan, do naam simran, take part in kirtan , read gurbani be it asa di vaar from sri adh granth sahib or chandi di vaar from sri dasam granth sahib or any other bani for that matter, is a very big 'pun/poon' i think thats the correct word, what i mean is that its a very high value deed. in my opinion wether u have stayed awake from the previous night to do naam simran in amrit vela or have specifically woken up to do so does not matter, the face that you are is the main picture. also many respected posters have said 'ive only done it couple of time or something along those lines'. which leads me to ask my question what time does the average asa di vaar that you attend commence ? the ones i attend finish before/as the sun rises and hence are completed in amrit vela. So if i attend the asa di vaar its a 2 in 1 for me as i listen to gurbani whilst doing nam simran, and i consider this amritvela, i have no right to question anyone as i am nobody. so please forgive me Sat Sri Akaal p.s it would be nice to know how people get ready for amrit vela, i.e head to toe ishnaan including hair etc ....
  11. "Sant baba jarnail singh ji pita ji maharaj" can somebody explain this one to me please no offence intended , just seems a bit too much for me
  12. IT?? And hence the nit picking starts, if you start highlighting in bold those who unintentionally refer to the Guru Granth Sahib as 'it' after referring to *the Guru Granth Sahib* before in a sentence, you would probably need a new thread with loads of pages to contain the examples in . * in english language even though I'm no expert i couldve have used 'it' again here it doesnt mean im being disrespectful, its just how the english language is, as its a shortened version and hence saved typing, isnt this the same as writing down GGS or SGGS or WJKK WJKF or whatever? .... ( im not looking for any answers to that question by the way) unless stemmed now this thread is going to start into yet another namdhari bashing debate, can i kindly point out the title of this thread, if you need any clarification on "the guru position" may i recommend you send "kooka" a private message. Sat Sri Akal

  18. wahey a sensible reply "108 stands for the number of Upanishads in Sanatan Dharam. These are the books of knowledge. It is stated that if one gains the knowledge of all 108 will gain brahmgian. The Mala represents the 108 Upanishads and as the name of God is greater then all if one if to recite it with a 108 mala it is as if they have gained the fruit fromt he knowledge of the Upanishads." please forgive my ignorance, but one learns by asking questions right ? ~ what are upanishads (books of knowledge) ? ~ what is brahmgian ? thank you sat sri akal
  19. http://namdhariradio.servemp3.com:8005/mp3...am%20Pataar.mp3 i think this can be downloaded in mp3 format sat sri akal
  20. ^^^^ showing people that you are meditating ? not too sure on that one, but then again as you say those are your views and you are entitled to them, i will not start a debate on the use of a mala, save that for a rainy day, any body have any views on the 108 knots in a mala ? regards gian
  21. Sat Sri Akal I dont know if this topic has been started before, I wanted to know the significance of the number 108, as there are 108 knots in my mala, and also 27 knots in a miniature mala, is 27 only there because its a quater of 108 (if my maths hasnt let me down). Thanks Sat Sri Akal
