  1. WahegurujikakhalsaWahegurujikifateh! Bhen Jee, Many Inspirational stories and literature on http://www.akj.org.uk/literature/ WahegurujikakhalsaWahegurujikifateh!
  2. Wahegurujikakhalsa Wahegurujikifateh Please excuse me for being so blunt in this email but i feel that we really need to look inside ourselves and determine if we are actually the cause of our own failure. The passing of these Gursikhs was a tragic event, they came into this life and full-filled their tasks and have now moved onto their next life to carry out their next tasks, they have not vanished or left, their soul is still alive and forever will be, we need to be stronger with ourselves to make us realise that. I have read many messages on this fourm with regards to 'why Guru Jee took them away' and it really upsets me that in such times, do we forget that only Guru Sahib has the answers to these questions so why is it that until today we have not read a single Hukamnama from the MANY Keertans, Akhand Paaths, Simrans etc that took place in their rememberance, all your questions will be answered within that Hukamnama there is no need to search for the answers anywhere else. Panthic unity will not come about with the passing of such Gurmukhs, we are kidding ourselves to even suggest that or think that.. using these Gurmukhs as 'tools' and 'excuses' to gain Panthic Unity will not get us anywhere, they came to do what they done and have now moved on.... The Panth has shed blood of MANY MANY shaheeds over the last 100 years yet we are still not closer to any Panthic unity, have we forgot about all them shaheeds?? Gursikhs are passing away in the name of Panthic unity every day yet not a single mention of them is ever reached to us. Panthic Unity is FAR FAR away and who is to blame for that? all of US!! We living in the Western world shouting for Unity is fine, we might get unity in our local towns, cities, countries but what about where it really matters? Today in Punjab there is probably less Gursikhs than in the Western World, we demand our own Homeland yet the people that will occupy that Homeland are living outside it, have we not abandoned our own Homeland?? until we are actually within our own house we will never be able to make any difference. Its easy for us to sit outside of Punjab and shout about the corrupt leaders etc ... have we ever tried to actually live within Punjab and shout about it?? We all are to blame for this non-unity within the Panth, until we wake up and realise that if we don't look after our house back in Punjab we can shout and scream as much as we want from the outside we will forever be fighting a loosing battle. Please lets not be under the impression that just because of these 3 Gursikhs moving on we will get Panthic Unity, it is majority of Gursikhs vision to see through Panthic Unity not only those 3 Gursikhs and the Panth has shed 1000's of Gursikh lives for the sake of Unity in the past and will do carrying on into the future until we realise that we can only make a real difference when we are sitting within the people that make the difference. 5. Wahegurujikakhalsa Wahegurujikifateh I respect everyones views on the posting... and may wish to add a few points, please take anything you find useful and ignore anything you don't. Firstly its ironic that we take about not changing yet we create this initial division within the Khalsa Brotherhood of Jatha's .. Taksal, AKJ, Nishkam etc etc with each one saying that 'their' rehit is the correct rehit and the others is 'wrong' some even go as far as labelling others as not even Gursikhs, it is very easy to talk about not watching TV, not doing certain things that have changed over the last 100 years or so, but it is us the Khalsa that have created the biggest change within ourselves, nowadays we are proud to call ourselves TAKSAL... i mean to me taksal is nothing, why have a taksal when we have the Khalsa Panth?? if you create change within our own brothers by putting up divides then what more can you expect, people will get put off and drift into things such as TV, Internet, Movies etc etc. I was learning Paath at a local Gurdwara Sahib and during my 2nd lesson some 'kathavachak' came and sat in the class, we had barely passed Jaap Jee Sahib and out of the 2 hours of the class this 'Kathavachak' totally put down every person that does Paath except for Paathi's that have been taught from Taksal, out of the 15 students that were in the class 12 of them got up and left, if we are unable to promote Gursikh in a positive way the way the Gurus taught us then im afraid we are the ones guilty for making people accept these changes that you talk about, we need to let go of our ego's and come down to the level of Guru Jees Lotus Fee t and accept that we are all brothers of the same father and we need to all work together, when someone see's a khalsa panth of millions of brothers all together they will no doubtdly be attract by the pyaar of Gursikhi and these others materialistic things such as TV, movies, Ineternet etc etc will not even be an issue. Our 'Gurdwara's' need to see some radical change, when they actually become a house of Waheguru and not some political gain party house then will we ever see the Khalsa Panth flourish. These changes that we talk about are happening for a reason, read Gurbani and more importantly understand it, and with the 'paraas kaala' you will automatically start to understand why things are happeneing the way they are, Guru Sahib has told us that there is yet a time to come that will see the raj of the Muslims and when 'soudaar' will need to be done, this is kuljug we are living in, until we start breaking these barriers that we have created between our own brothers we will be encourging more and more people to go towards these other manmut things. We think that sitting on the internet and writing messages on message board is 'parchar' don't let us fool ourselves, effectivly we are also wasting time by doing this, im not saying it is a bad thing, becuase its not, BUT do not kid ourself that you can sit behind a screen for hours on end just writing these messages (i myself is probbaly guilty).... if we look some 70 years back, there was no internet yet parchar was still being done and Sikhi was much more flourishing at that time than it is now.... what good parchar that we might do by writing messages we counter that by wasting time talking on msn, chat rooms, etc etc Bhull Chuuk Di Kayma Wahegurujikakhalsa Wahegurujikifateh
  6. Veer Jee, firstly there is no 'damdami taksal maryada' ... damdami taksal do not own Waheguru Jee... Waheguru Jee has given us maryada which is all backed up by Gurbani, we don't need any taksal or jatha to say this is their maryada, yes there might be faults in the marayada that is inplace from the Panth, but no one can claim maryada to be theirs. Guru will halp anyone and everyone, even if you have made the biggest mistake in this world and you go to Guru Sahib they will forgive you, Guru Sahib is forever forgivining, just as an example Guru Jee went to the rescue of Joga Singh when he was walking on the totally wrong path, neevr stay under this impression that Guru will not help us, Waheguru is the ONLY one that can pull us out of the dumps and get us away from the evils of this world, so even if you someone has made a mistake we need to go head bowed to Guru to ask for fogiveness, maybe Guru Jee will forgive us maybe Guru Jee will forgive you at a later time... never lose faith in Waheguru. wahegurujikakhalsa wahegurujikifateh
  7. wahegurujikakhalsa wahegurujikifateh Khalistani veer/bhen jee Waheguru has chosen everything for us.... Waheguru has also chosen that if we are to go down the wrong path and 'go out' with someone then we are, does Waheguru not say we are mare puppets and Waheguru is the puppeter?? We also need to realise that we are living in Kuljug, over the years we have seen a major decline in our faith for Sikhi and thats the way its supposed to happen, Guru Sahib has told us that there will come a time when the muslims will rule and the last of the chouvess avtar will come to do sudaar and rid all evil and that is what is really happening, Sikhi is declining very rapidly hence us asking questions such as 'is dating allowed' etc.... Waheguru will make us do what Waheguru is making us do, and Waheguru is the one that can make us realise if what we are doing is right or wrong through what ever means. Khalistani... in the area that i live in, i can give you many examples of marraiges which have not worked out and out of them all, only 2 were 'love marraiges' and the many other were so called 'arranged marriages' .... i don't think you can make assumptions like that, if we look back 50 years divorce was not acc epted in Sikhi.... the problem we have nowadays is that divorce is now accepted hence people pointing the finger at 'love marriages' .... its us that have let those divorces happen we have no one else to blame. Guru Sahib has chosen your life partner and also chosen the way that you 'meet' that partner. To understand the play of waheguru there is a VERY good book written by Bhai Rhandhir Singh Jee 'Karam Philosophy' ... the nost unique thing about Bhai Sahibs books is that when you start reading EVERY single arguement is backed up with Gurbani.... unlike many other books where you will find that, thats not the case... to fully understand it you may have to read it a couple of times, but it is sooo enjoyable as you are reciting Gurabni at the same time as learning what Gurbani is teaching us. Bhull chuk maff wahegurujikakhalsa wahegurujikifateh
  8. wahegurujikakhalsa wahegurujikifateh When parents have spoken and the guy and girl both meet up for a chat, which happens in nearly all cases of a rhista, would that be dating too? According to all the posts I’ve read, any contact or verbal communication before Anand Karaj is considered as dating... if we say that its ok in that instance because the parents have agreed to it or have spoken... then what if parents have accepted the fact that they trust their kids enough to go out and chill out with singhs and singhnees and choose their own life partner... would it still be wrong? It’s surprising how we all treat the 'love' word as being such a negative thing. Call it what you want at the end of the day we as Sikhs are not to be attached to anything... anything that brings us attachment is 'maya' ... its easy to sit behind a comp screen and say Sikhi says this Sikhi says that... the fact of the matter is that your Human, we are full of the 5 vices... maya is something that will effect us 100%... us sitting on the screen and being on the internet is maya and love... love for the internet... love for these websites... love for our houses... love for our children... on this whole planet you could probably count the few Gurmukhs on your fingers who have overcome this attachment of 'maya'... if you speak to these Gurmukhs they will tell you that you cant run away from these things, you cant go and hide in some hole somewhere and say I’m not going to be surrounded by this maya of modern day life and hope that it will just go away..... We have to fight it living within this maya.... we are very weak our mind are very weak, if such great Gursikhs such as J oga Singh could be distracted by this maya of a prostitute house then we have a looooooong way to go before we can even start to think that we have overcome or come anywhere near overcoming these thieves. I agree 'dating' is wrong.... but so is ninda, chuglee, lying, money, hurting peoples feelings etc etc .... We still probably do all those other things EVERYDAY of our life.... The problem I see with us nowadays is that we have become 'book worms' we read, read, and read from books and think we know everything... that is just 'kitaabi gyan' ... we have forgotten about doing seva and spending time and doing sangat of Gursikhs such as Bhai Jeevan Singh Jee, Bhai Rama Singh Jee, Bhai Pooran Singh Jee .... When we spend time with these Gursikhs they will indirectly show you what Gursikhi is and how it should be lived. My personal experiences with these Gursikhs are just indescribable, it’s easy saying Sikhi says this Sikhi says that, but actually living Sikhi for what it is just a different experience. I would just urge that anyone who is thinking they have found a life partner that they should let their parents know and get them to initiate a 'gaal baat’ with the other persons parents and if both agree then you could get to know each other.... 99% of people that use the internet chat to the opposite sex on msn, message boards etc etc.. Whats so different from that and chatting in person??? If you look deeper you will find that there is no difference at all.... at smagams and keertans, boys and girls mix and chat freely, whats the difference between that and them same boys and girls mixing outside socially.... again look deeper and you will find that there is no difference and according to you guys all that could also be classified as 'dating'. Sorry if I have hurt anyone’s feelings, but I am a firm believer that Sikhi is unique to every individual, we should not rely too much on hearing or asking things from other people, what they might seem to know, you can do the udhaam yourself and find out and decide for yourself what is right an wrong... Guru Granth Sahib Jee has the answers to everything and also the reasoning into each answer you seek, if we are noting going to search and read Gurbani for ourselves and ask everyone else for answers we will never get anywhere in our Jeevan hence we will forever be asking the same questions such as 'if dating or love is right or wrong'. Bhull Chuk di Khaymaa.. Sorry for the long email, this is the first time I have ever written on the Internet so please forgive me. wahegurujikakhalsa wahegurujikifateh
