Anybody who thinks Harnaam Singh Dhuma is not working under direct instructions of Badal is either politically ignorant or is trying to fool others. When Badal won elections Dhuma could be seen everywhere with him. He is not even trying to hide his links with Badal and has openly admitted his support for him.

Chatanga ji, I am only saying what i am observing. I have seen lot of IPD people talk on sikh channel and you can always see their tacit support for Badal. You will never see them talk anything against Badal. Now what do you make of that. And I am not sure what u mean by saying they don't support Badal but are only 'linked' to him.

Anyone with some political knowledge can make following link. Sikh channel show on on dharma yudh jatha had 4 to 5 IPD members speaking. IPD supports Badal.and we all know what Badal stands for. I see very dirty politics being played here especially using IPD . Sikh channel is doing great work by the way but sometimes even they are not able to identify such dirty politics. It's high time anyone supporting Badal in anyway is boycotted from any panthic initiative.

I am from swindon and I have some observations/questions regarding what has happened and what is happening in this Gurdwara; 1. There have been mixed marriages before in this Gurdawara before without anyone objecting. But this time probably due to a black guy involved half of committe was against it half was in favour. 2. Committe members who were against this invited and supported singhs to stop it. But I feel they should say something about mixed marriages which have already taken place in the same gurdwara. 3. I can understand all the sentiments of not allowing sikhs to marry anyone outside but I feel mone guys who sit in front of SGGS just for lavaan is equally wrong and is an equal beadbi of SGGS. We should treat the subject consistently. 4. The same Gurdwara has a community centre next to Gurdwara where mean and alcohol is served without any restrictions. Where is the maryada there. Why are same committe members who opposed this marriage based on Akal Takht maryada not following the same for community centre? This makes me beleive they just used Akal takht maryada in the case of marriage for personal ego issues with the guy being a black. 5. The same committe members will oppose the same singhs who came over on the issue of community centre because they dont want that to stop. Double standards again. 6. This marriage was just one day of beadbi of SGGS but coomunity centre is a daily beadbi of SGGS. 7. There is Akal Takht hukamnama on having langar on floor. I personally faced committe with this and was severely ridiculed. Again why same committe members not following Aakal Takht maryada in this case. 8. I think it is good that Akal Takht maryada is being enforced in this gurdwara but I hope bigger sacrilege of SGGS (community centre) will also be dealt with same (or much more ) seriousness and committe members who think they have been able to use Akal Takht maryada to their favour understand that now they will have to follow Akal takht maryada in case of community centre and langar also.

Yeah I saw that too. I don't know how many more incidents of these kind sikhs want before they realise that Akal Takht Jathedar is Badal's puppet. We have a jathedar in Bhai Rajoana. This is a golden oppurtunity to get rid of this fake Jathedar who can give fakre-kaum to Badal, who will not say anything about why Sumedh Saini has been promoted by Badal, Who will not say anything when Badal visited Dera Sacha Sauda. The list is endless and some people still think he is leading us! Even the person who was taking interview seemed misguided as he was in all praise for Jathedar. If the whole Panth puts pressure like they did for Rajoana's fansi, even Badal will have to accept Bhai Rajoana as jathedar, but only if so called panthic leaders realise that. And it seems unlikely!

And why is he not talking about leaders who are arrested? and why wasn't he arrested? why he is not campaigning active for release of Rajoana like Daduwal did?

Please make sangat aware of truth about Sant Samaj and Akal Takht Jathedar. remember Akal Takht is supreme not it's jathedar who works for Badal in return of few luxuries. He was having laddoos shamelessly when Fansi was postponed, when he should be working for release of Bhai Rajoana. How can be even call him our jathedar. Sikhs all over world should pressure and make Bhai Rajoana Akal Takht Jathedar. His letters have more power than Jathedar's letters anyway.

Can santranjitsinghji.com please tell us what's Dhadrianwale's stand on people who are arrested like Mann , Bittu, Daduwal etc? Why none of Akal Takht jathedar, Dhadrianwale or Jasbir Singh rode say anything about these people who are arrested? Rajoana asked us to be unied, but he also asked us to be carefull of people who are hand in glove with Badal. So be carefull when you try to wash away anycriticism as being divisive. Rajoana is our real jathedar in today's date. His letters have more value and strength than what Akal Takht jathedar says. How long will Badal's Sant Samaj confuse people by saying that Akal Takht's jathedar is supreme who works under direct instructions of Badal. Its sad to see him and other Sant's sell out, God knows for what and they keep going preaching people!!

Exactly same thing is happening, Badal, Akal Takht Jathedar, Sant Samaj, International panthic dal they are all same and together but they are misleading sikhs in different ways and forms. The need of the hour is tomake common sikhs aware who are not so smart politically that this is the case. I am not so sure about even Dhadrianwale anymore.

Anything that Akal Takht Jathedar and , Dhumma, Sant Samaj, Jasbir Singh Rode do will be on instructions of Badal on how to calm sikhs, how to take maximum advantage of the situation and how to make sure sikhs still vote for Badal. Has Bhai Rajoana ji released a letter today. He has been doing it everyday from past few days. Does anyone has any info whether his sister met him today? If there is no letter today it means something serious.

He wants to diffuse the movement. Along with others he is using Akal Takht jathedar to achieve this and thats why Akal Takht Jathedar is busy congratulating sikhs and telling them that we have achieved what we had set out for even though Bhai Sahib might still end up worst than giving shaheedi, Even though Daljit Singh Bittu, Sant daduwal and others have been arrested. If we don't take action against this behaviour of Jathedar, just like Akali Dal has become punjabi party rather than sikh party, Akal Takht will end up Punjabi/bjp/rss entity which will only be used to misguide sikhs for political benefits of politicians in return for some favours and luxuries.

Badal's strategy: Badal had to bow to sikh's pressure, so he decided to plead for clemency in this case. Then he drew strategy to do it in a way which politically benefits him. So he pulls up Akal Takht Jathedar and asks him to give a watered down adesh (not Hukamnama) in which all that was said was that he would meet president. He knew even if he could not secure clemency he could still blame the president. Then he keeps the date of meeting president so close to hanging date to see how much sikhs respond . When he saw clearly that sikhs are out in masses he alerted centre about the situation and knew that he would loose support in Punjab and also sikhs would be unstoppable. In India president doesn't do anything himself/herself, he/she works on advice from government. Centre advised president to put hanging on hold untill Hawara case is heard(basically an excuse to defer the case). This would mean putting it off for at least 1-2 years. Now Badal profits from this in two ways. One he would say that he acted on Akal Takht's directive (which he himself directed the Jathedar to give) and saved Rajoana (even though thats not true completely, but he would have media under his control say that). Second this will diffuse the movement for time being. In 1-2 years they will transfer Rajoana to another state and hang or try to torture him to disable him like many other prisoners or keep him in solitary confinement for years untill he looses his mental balance (Bhullar's case). In the mean time he will ask Akal Takht Jathedar to create some other sikh controversy or issue so that everyone's attention is diverted to that and people forget about this. All problems solved for Prakash and Sukhbir badal. In India he is going to use Sant Samaj in his strategy mentioned above and in coutries like UK it will be done through international panthic dal (Raghbir Singh, Paramjit Singh Dhaddi etc). These people will never let common sikhs understand that Institution of Akal Takht is different from its temporary Jathedars who can be corrupt. Once Akal Takht Jathedar under british influence gave Saropa to killer of jalian wala bagh, does that mean it was panthic decision ? If current Jathedar was impartial and a true sikh he would not have given fakre-kaum to Badal, he would have offered Bhai Rajoana seat of Akal Takht Jathedar to free him, he would have lead at least one protest march personally, he would have summoned Badal for promoting Sumedh saini as Punjab police chief. Today's Punjab Bandh was nowhere in Akal Takht Jathedar's Adesh and group of 8 different jathebandis got together and asked people to observe Bandh. Jathedar infact said in a statement that directions of those jathebandis should not be followed . But sill the bandh was 100% successful. This means that people are getting aware of Akal takht jathedar's shortcomings and this is a really good sign. What we should do: Be politically smart and understand how dirty politics is being played and how even Akal Takht Jathedar is being used for this. Understand that Akal Takht's institution and its sactity and supremacy is for itself and that the Jathedar's are just an interface. We should respect them as much as possible but when they cross a certain limit we should take action against them. Don't let the movement fizzle out, use it to make Bhai Rajoana Akal Takht Jathedar asap. Once that is done his release is imminent or at least he can not be tortured and he can still guide us with his fearless resolve. Once that is done pressing for release of other prisoners would be easier. Follow Bhai Rajoana's directives which come out through his letters. Promote bhai Rajoana as hero through every possible avenue (we know it, tell the world). Rather than trying to do everything at once ( freeing all prisoners, getting khalistan, justice for riot's victims etc) concentrate on Bhai Rajoana's case and make him Akal Takht jathedar, other things can follow because if we try everything we might not achieve anything and might end up losing than gaining anything.And I think most importantly look up to Bhai Rajoana and get inspiration to be better sikhs, better saint-soldiers.

Those people who are calling this decision of Akal Takht jathedar good, either lack enough political awareness or are supporters of Badal. Only good thing in the Hukamnama is that Bhai Dilawar Singh and Bhai Balwant Singh are declared martyrs. Jathedar had to do at least this much to save face. Apart from that they haven't done anything. They have asked people to pray for Rajoana on 28th and wear kesri Dastars and hoist Kesri flag on their homes. They know that this action can not politically damage Badal and this will also calm sikhs. But do we need a direction from Akal Takht to do these things. Many people are doing these things anyway. Another thing they have said is that Badal should meet president of India to resolve the issue. What was required was a direction to Badal to pass resolution in Punjab assembly to save Rajoana like tamilnadu assemby have done for Rajiv Gandhi's killers. But again this would have put Badal in a tight spot, so it was avoided. Now Badal can easily put the ball in president of India's court and can blame him for whatever decision comes out. Again it wont damage Badal's reputation. And why could Akal Takht jathedar not sacrifice his position to make Bhai Rajoana Akal Takht jathedar, well again Badal wouldn't have liked it. Now Badal's supporters including internation panthic dal in UK , Sant Samaj led by so called Damdami Taksal chief Harnaam Singh Dhumma and Jasbir Singh Rode, Paramjit Singh Dhadi etc are trying to misguide people to beleive that Akal Takht decision is the best it could be. They are trying hard to make people beleive that Akal Takht Jathedar has directed Badal but they won't tell the whole point like I explained above. these very people were all involved in awarding Badal Fakre-kaum. Thses people are unwilling to criticise Badal for promoting Sumedh Saini as Punjabpolice chief. Anyone who speaks against Akal Takh jathedar, they label him as anti panthic and one who is dividing the panth. I am sure they are getting good favours from Badal's for what they are doing. How can such people of corrupt minds think of any good for Panth. Why don't real panthic people and leaders recognise this and boycott this group. Another tactic this group uses is to link Akal Takht's superiority with its corrupt Jathedar. Akal Takht is an institution not a person. Jathedar is just a person and an interface between sangat and Akal Takht. Bhai Rajoana chose to meet the jathedar not because he thinks that he is a great sikh but because he wanted to surrender his whole body to Akal Takht and the only way to do this was through its Jathedar. It was his compulsion. This fact that Bhai Rajoana chose to meet Jathedar is also being used by these people to justify whatever Jathedar says. I think sikh people should be more politically smart and recognise such people who are not easily recognisable and it is the responsibility of all true panthic minded sikhs to expose such people in front of common people so that sikh sangat doesn't get confused and doesn't get carried away with their false claims. I don't see much hope untill we recognise that Akal Takht needs to be freed from such people. Otherwise everytime we will be asked to leave individual movements and unite under Akal Takht and then Badal's phone call will decide that united panth's fate. How many more such occurences do we need before we learn?

Well Badal must be laughing that many sikhs and Jathebandis still have faith in Akal Takh Jathedar. Why don't people learn from past events. What did Akal Takht Jathedar do when Sirsa Sadh mocked Guru Gobind Singh Ji, what did he do in Ludhiana Kand. Every time we were fiercely told by Badal supporters that let have faith in the Akal Takht jathedar ,nd everytime it was Badal who instructed the jathedar on what to do to gain maximum political advantage from the situation. About emails, well not long ago they had asked for emails on what type monument for 1984 should be erected in the darbar Sahib complex, Baljeet Singh Daduwal had created sort of movement to get that done, but what happened? what was done with the emails? and where is the monument? And here we are falling for it all over again. Badal and company know very well that they don't have to try hard to make sikhs follow what Akal Takht Jathedar says and that they can turn sikhs in the direction they want using Akal Takht. They kill two birds with one stone, one they kill the chance of any alternative leadership like that of Daduwal by saying that lets unite under Akal Takht and second, once sikhs unite under Akal Takht they scuttle the whole movement in a shrewd way. The most common tactic they use to scuttle such movements is to first make a committe, then buy time to give decision, in the meanwhile normally some other issue comes up in the panth and no one asks them what was done for the last issue.I am pretty sure its going to be same this time. I think sikh individuals and Jathebandis are shying away from their own responsibilities by putting everything on Akal Takht even after knowing that Akal Takht jathedar is not capable of giving sikhs any direction as he is completely working under Badal's instructions. If you say these things in media, Badal supporters generally blame you of mud sludging and tell you that you are against panthic ekta. Thats what they did when I called in a sikh channel show full of Badal people. They told that if Akal Takht jathedar was so bad why did Bhai Balwant Singh ji demand to meet him. Well thats every sikh's compulsion that if they want to dedicate anything to Akal Takht they will have to contact its Jathedar. It was out of this compulsion that Bhai Balwant Singh had to meet the jathedar as he respects Akal Takht like all sikhs. Otherwise everyone including Bhai Balwant Singh know about the jathedar, especially after he awarded Fakre-kaum (Panth's pride) award to Badal. Like I have said before what we need to understand is that Akal Takht and its Jathedar are two separate things. Akal Takht should be respected by all sikhs and was established by Guru Hargobind Sahib ji . Akal Takht jathedars can be good or bad and we should speak out against him if he is being bad. We should force him to either be good according to gurmat principles or leave. When we say things against Akal Takht jathedar, it doesnt mean we are against Akal Takht or its authority, we are just against the Jathedar being used for petty politics in return of some favours. I think the only non political leader of any worth left in Punjab is Sant Daduwal . and the more we can rally behind him the better it will be for sikh panth. One of the best solution I see to the problem is if Bhai Balwant Singh is declared Akal Takht jathedar by sarbat khalsa. But its unlikely to happen as it will be damaging for both current Jathedar and his master Badal.

Puraatan, I was prsent athe the rally and here are some facts for you: 1. The turnout was huge. It was obviously less than june rally but they are not both same issues and the turnout was expected to be less. 2. One of my friend called me in the evening and told me that BBC evening news on TV showed the event coverage and also showed interviews with couple of people from there. Judging by this it was great success as many people watching BBC will now know what Dastaar is for sikhs. Coverage by BBC is important and just for context June rally has never been covered in BBC this way. Not that I am against June rally or anything. If someone has the BBC clip please post it here. 3. There were lot of youth. Khalsa Aid people were there. satkaar committe people were there. manvir singh khalsa was there. And in general lot of young people could be seen around. Lot of young dastaar weaaring bibiyan were there. Lot of small kids with fancy dastaars were there, celebrating their Dastaar. 4. The fact that the event was held simultaneously in different europian countriesand was shown live will definitely put some pressure on governments and will also raise awareness about Dastaar in general. About the live telecasts of sikh channel and Sangat TV, I saw both and I have following to say: 1. I agree sikh channel presenters should not have let people take names and slander anyone but Sangat TV was much worse when Ranjit Singh Rana started it all. just couple of weeks before the event. And even in the latest live teleacast from Sangat TV , even though , Kulwant Singh Dhesi started with saying that Sangat TV will never slader anyone like that, couple of minutes later he himself did the same thing and so did the people on the show. 2. Amrik Singh Gill and some others raised that Baljit Singh daduwal shouldn't have let people take names in his presence. Today in hisinterview Daduwal cleared that he just came couple of days back and wasn't aware of all the background. I personally think he was not at fault even though the presenter should have intervened. But I think Amrik Singh Gill (and JOga Singh)has mistakes on his hands as well like sharing stage with Badal people and Akal takht Jathedar at Sangat TV anniversary. 3. I think even if there were differences those could have been sorted out later. and those who didn't want to attend could have just missed it . Why so much campaign against it just two weeks before the event? 4 Finally I think that probably there are oppurtunists on both sides but I think Sikh federation(Amrik Singh Gill) , FSO (Joga Singh) and well intentioned sikhs on Sikh channel like Sadhu Singh, Gurnam Singh etc all want to do good things for panth. They should put their egos in bin and start afresh and patch up. daduwal also mentioned this in his interview on sikh channel today. But please be aware of Sangat TV unless it distances from Badal's clan.

Sangat TV seems to have quite close links to Badal reasons below: 1. Akal Takht Jathedar flying in just to support Sangat TV on its anniversary and to give a speech. We all know this wouldn't happen without Badal's consent and Jathedar is just a puppet of Badal. 2. Badals key men in UK. Balihar Singh Ramewal and Inderjit Singh Sangha were present and were praised so many times by the host. 3. The host of that anniversary function and a regular presenter of Sangat TV, Ranjit Singh Rana has already exposed himself as Badal's man. The sad part is that people like Amrik Singh Gill and Joga Singh attended that anniversary program and shared stage with the Jathedar and sat in audience. They should have boycotted Jathedar as they themselves have been telling sangat that everyone should boycott so called Jathedars. I respect them completely for the good work that they have done but they should clarify their stand on this issue among others.

For well intentioned and politically aware sikhs it is not hard to judge a person based on his deeds, especially in this age of media. And obviously the judgement should be based on gurmat and on deeds done by someone over a period of time. By these parameters Baljit Singh Daduwal and Amrik Singh Ajnala are panths best bets. Efforts will obviously be made by people to align them with panth's known enermies . We can still hear people calling Sant Bhindranwale a congress man. So its nothing new and will never stop. Like mentioned in another thread Daduwal gave a very good interview on sikh channel today and cleared a lot of things. If people still want to call him an agent we know who those people are and why they want to malign his image. and again well intentioned and politically aware sikhs will never fall for it.

I saw a show on Sangat TV today where they explained why they are against dastaar day and how the efforts of unity with sikh channel have failed. I am sure they told things from their point of view . I don't care about people like Rana or whoever else is in Badal's lap or people like Dhesi who keep changing stands all the time and who are power hungry. But people like Amrik Singh Gill and Joga Singh who seem to have made lot of contribution to panthic causes seem to be showing their own egos, I might be wrong and I stil respect them but I have following questions for them. It will be great if they or any of the people close to them can answer following questions which I am sure lot of sikhs have: 1. even if Davinder Bal of sikh channel is an egoistic person, does that mean that everyone has to be like that? 2.If Davinder Bal's ego has resulted in better things why can't sikh organisations like federation take advantage of that and pursue this cause? 3.How can they ignore how Badal's people were all around during Sangat TV anniversary celebraton? How can they not know that if Akal Takht Jathedar can be flown in just for a speech at Sangat TV anniversary it is bound to have close links with Badal? 4.Why did they not boycott Akat Takht jathedar on Sangat TV anniversary even though they have been asking Sangat to boycott them all along? 5.Why did they not see any trouble in dastaar day when sikh channel started advertising about it months ago, why spoil it at last minute? 6.Even if they saw issues with it why couldnt they keep quite untill the event was over so that sangat is not divided? 7.Why do they think they are right in boycotting this event when people like Sukhpreet Singh Udhoke, Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal and various other leaders who know a lot about sikh issues are supporting it? 8.They call Davinder Bal egoistic, well he very well might be but are they not being egoistic themselves to spoil this event? It is really sad to see UK Jathebandis divided but then such is politics and probably will always be. All I know is that I have a chance to stand up for my Dastaar and no matter what anyone tells me I am going to be there.

Lot of people are getting deluded by Badal Sarna Politics. If someone calls Jathedar or Makkar wrong, people start saying you are backing Sarna and Darshan Ragi, If people say Akal Takht should be respected they are automatically considered Badal's men. Well as someone clearly suggested in the opening posts that institution of Akal Takht and Jathedars are two different things. Akal Takht is "Akaal" timeless, no one can destroy it, it should always be respected. Jathedars are temporary beings who can be good or bad depending upon their deeds. If you look at current jathedar's role, what he has done and what he has not done, any politically aware sikh will know that he is a Badal's puppet. Issue of Kanha Dhesian raised by sikh channel proves it beyond doubt. Yes he has done right thing by ex-communicating darshan Ragi but that doesn't mean he is impartial. If taking action against ragi had not been politically beneficial to Badal jathedar would have never done that because he doesn't do anything without Badal's permission. But in any case result was good as Darshan ragi should have been sent out. But don't let anyone fool you into thinking that Akal Takht jathedar is not completely under control of Badal. About Bhai Ranjit Singh, I don't have much knowledge of him occupying kothi but I know for sure he was the last fearless Jathedar of current time. he was the one who killed Nirankari Gurbachna who desecrated SGGS in 1978 saka. Badal got him elected as jathedar even while he was in prison because he needed him to gain popularity, but when he came out and didn't fall in line with Badal, Badal threw him out and subsequently started using Jathedar's as puppets.

Just saw bit of speeches of Sangat TV anniversary program. Some of the proofs that its Badal supported: Inderjit Singh Sangha was mentioned again and again and he was in the audience. He is Badal's party's UK head. Balihar Singh Ramewal was also present, he is Badal's party's UK youth head. Akal takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh flew in for a speech. He was given free stage, not asked a single question on his role in containing SGGS beadbi in Punjab.Nor did he say anything about what is being done to control such incidents. It is no secret that Akal Takht jathedar is completely with Badal. Ranjit Singh Rana who we all know about and his links with badal are not hidden in any way was managing the stage. Kulwant Singh Dhesi said that Sikh TV has shut down in UK, Sikh channel is on the verge of shutdown so all sangat should save Sangat TV!! Only thing I am concerned about is Bhai Joga Singh (AKJ) and Bhai Amrik singh Gill( Sikh federation UK)were also present , I give them benefit of doubt for now . May they just want to use every single media avaialble to them but they should clatify their stand regarding Badal's people and Akal Takht jathedar. If they were present there why didn't they ask Akal Takht Jathedar to be questioned live in UK. Badal must be smiling watching all this thinking how he has managed to control sikh people even in UK from where there was quite credible threat to the wrong's he is doing. I really feel sad to see this state of Panth.

I have said this before and I repeat, Rana has always proved himself to be pro badal. I remember when he used to come on sikh channel he always used to interrupt people saying things against Badal. And it was him who hosted shows with Badal's UK party people like Sangha and Balihar Singh Ramewal. He always gave them free space to talk. He presents himself to be a great historian but what he is really doing is using his knowledge of sikhi and history to gain credibility and help his masters. Regarding the latest fiasco. I have very simple questions for Rana or Sangat TV: 1. Dastar issue has been advertised on sikh channel for months now. Where were they earlier? 2. Rana says calling dastaar day D day is dis respectfull to Dastar as the name is cut short. Its such a lame excuse. Why is Damdami Talksal called DDT, why is akhand kirtani jatha called akj. Its just a name and since D day is a popular name using it for a different cause might get media attention. With that logic sangat TV is using "Ik" from "Ik Onkaar" is that not splitting the very first thing in gurbani? 3. Sangat TV says Sikh channel should have involved the organisations. Well again the ads have been going on for months. Why nobody took notice earlier? Yesterday leader of sikh council UK called and said that they have been asked to lead the demonstration, but the presenter was making every effor to put his wordsin his mouth to the effect that Sikh channel has not asked anybody about it. Again why this at last minute. 4. Rana and Sangat TV says that since there is no problem in UK there is no need to demonstrate. Well 1984 happened in India not in UK then why do we demonstrate here every year? Lot of people have to travel to UK for various reasons, is it not an issue for them and can they guarantee that other governments including UK's will not follow italy. 5. They said media shouldn't get involved in things all by themselves. Well who had Sangat TV asked when covering UK riots? and who had they asked before bringing people like Sonia Deol on their channel? Regarding sangat TV. I saw some very good discussions here and there on Sangat TV but their continuous efforts to spoil sikh unity leads me to beleive that It is India's/ Badal's funded channel, probably thats why they never need any donations. They show some panthic discussions just to gain some credibility. I think its best for sikh channel that people like Rana left them . People like him are a shame to the panth and infiltrators who are hard to recognise. It is these kind of people that sikhs should be most aware of.
