Who is going to the demonstrations in Birmingham and Southall? It will be good if as man people go as possible, maybe the news will reach Panjaab of Western Rallys by Sikhs and show our support?

Jassa/Sunny or any of the other India Sangat, please could you inform us if there is any sort of media blackout? Or is everything being reported fine. E.g. TV channels and news giving coverage etc.. An earlier post stated there was some sort of network failiure or deliberate stoppage of media being aired. Please could somebody clarify or give any news on this, thank you.

(OFF Topic but curious). Why do people spell Vaisakhi with a 'B'? Isn't Vasakhee the start of the month of Vasaakh? Isn't it spelt with a Vaavaa in Gurmukhi? Is it one of those things like Window pronounced Bindo? LOL

It seems because of the success of albumbs like those made by Immortal Productions, the likes of RDB want to jump on the band wagon. However, the albums like Shaheedi Immortality/Panj/Shaheedi 400 were made and promoted by Gursikhs. OK, they used the likes of Tigerstyle and XS Bass but it was supported by Gursikhs not to make money but to actualy promote Sikhi and Sikh Ithaas. I feel RDB and Co don't actually care about the message of Sikhi, they want to make money via this route and to just show people they might care about faith. We all know what kind of music these guys actually produce, and the videos that go along with them. Then they release "Vaiskahi" albumbs too. Anyway, maybe it will help youth realise in which case I'm wrong. Also, that Kalakar thing was WHACK! LOL

PSD your are preacher of "sticking to the topic" as many of your posts demonstrate. Please can you then practice what you preach. Your post above was not exactly sticking to the topic in hand. It is a good quality to have your kehnee and karnee (preaching and practice) aligned. It might be ironic that this post has nothing to do with the topic, but I didnt say we should stick to the topic. You have to big up the PSD though. He gives all the Sangat jokes!

I thought of the Singhragous thing also, but didnt voice it because I didnt think anybody would agree. But I'm with you on this Bhai Sahib. The Singhs could have something similar. There might be issues Singhs may have which are not appropriate in normal sangat. And also it would be good to bring the Singhs and soon-to-be Singhs together. What does the rest of the Sangat think?

Apparently Queen Victoria has done darshan of this pend. Maybe PSD can verify this for the Sangat. LOL. There are many Gursikhs in this pend, it will be great if as much Sangat attend as possible.

Vaheguroo jee kaa Khalsaa Vaheguroo jee kee fateh. Sangat jee please correct me if I am wrong. I have heard the reason why this started (don't know if this true or not though). Back in the day the bibiyan use to wear them suits/lenghas/chunee etc that covered their face like veil type (anti-gurmat). As a result they couldn't see where they were walking and needed to be guided around Sree Guroo Granth Sahib jee Maharaaj. But instead of some random man/men doing this, the brothers did it so they wouldn't let some random touch the Bibi. Like most Punjaabeefied customs carry on now, this also did, without question. Bhulaa chukaa dee khemaa jee.

What's funny is when I was younger, in school the goreh used to take the mickey and ask if Singhs keep knives etc in their turbans. I use to say no, don't be stupid at the same time thinking "where do they get these stupid ideas from" Then I got into Sikhi and realised whoa, Singhs do! LOL.

My dad had recently took amrit and in a conversation between my cousin and my pua's father in-law (typical panjaabi old guy) my cousin told him about my dad taking amrit. The reply was "kyon? koi problem si?" LOL yeah, people only take amrit if they have a problem in their life!

Saadh Sangat jee, I think we should just live in the bhaanaa of Akaal Purkh. Palm reading etc is just a waste of time, most (if not all) of these palm readers can't even predict their own lives let alone anyone else's. And even if they do have the power, Akaal Purkh can change the course of our lives as he wishes. Please, correct me if I am wrong. Thank you
