  1. After you see the doctor, if it turns out to be hypehydrosis, I would suggest do not just jump into EDS. Surgery may sound like a good idea and some doctors promote it too but do your homework before making any decisions. Message me if you need more detail on it. tc
  2. As far as the speech recognition software available in the market, it tends to be ignorant or simply make some next level shyt up depending on who is speaking it and how something is said. I worked on active noise cancellation for my design project and I would say that speech recognition is pretty intense problem, due to the signal variability due to more than a single source. The issues related to low signal-to-noise ratio is a factor which seems to be the major problem to most of the system till date. If the software isn't able to distinguish the spoken words distinctly or if there is any extra noise in the background, the interference simply causes flawed results. Since you are suggesting gurdawara kirtan programs and house kirtans, I am pretty sure the overlapping speech would be the issue you should consider when progressing with this idea. Also, there are tonnes of similar sounding words, which we only distinguish in the complete phrase and it will be the worst nightmare for speech recognition system, so do look into it to make sure to avoid projecting a different shabad on different notes. I am in no way discouraging the idea bro, I think its a Wonderful idea but if it doesn't deliver at the end, it wouldn't be useful at all. I just wanted to give you my 2cents and wish you the best, if you do choose to proceed with this project.
  3. Bhaaji, I understand where you are coming from but I am not sure if what you are saying is the right way to achieve anything. I am going to keep it short by saying those Punjabis as well as Biharis are Indians and the Biharis are just moving within their own country for a better living standard. How about all those millions, who are moving abroad for similar reasons? Its like saying "Sadda khoon khoon, tuhada khoon paani". Now I am not saying its good that they are moving to Punjab, taking over the way of life and we shouldn't do anything about it but its our own fault - most of apne are stocking up foreign countries and the ones left behind are too good to do any work, this is the void Biharis are filling up. If we are strong enough as a panth, we don't need to be conscious of anyone trying to better their living. Perhaps, we can start by speaking Punjabi in Punjab, its our apne we can/should blame and not have some scapegoat. Last time I checked, everyone in Punjab is so embarrased to speak their own language. I remember listening to a singh speak in Bihari/hindi to a Bihari and when I asked why don't you speak Punjabi, the response I recieved was " Oh! they do not understand Punjabi", now maybe if we start by sticking to our own roots and hold onto them strong enough, nothing can do us apart.
  4. Should have told her when some ignorant worthless teacher makes a choice of not giving me the grade I would like in a course
  5. Maybe you find it necesssary to put others down to make a point but I honestly don't see a need for it, I don't remember anyone making such a statement for it to be called a propaganda, unless you are tagging me as a anti-sikh. Inder Singh Saab: As I mentioned I am unable to access certain sites at work and haven't had the chance to go through the article by Kapoor Singh but will do.
  6. I took me ages to go through Akal Takhat's hukamnama but I made it thru. I understand that it is taking about the incident that happened in 2006 and he didnt provide the true picture at that point in time which is terrible on his part, but we were taking about the recent information that is being fed around. Singh ji, Maybe I am asking for too much but I just wanted to know from someone who has the knowledge (unlike me) and can make a clear statement that its all a big fat lie.
  7. Inder Singh Ji: No you aren't missing anything lol, I am at work and most companies have blocked youtube. I am not advocating anyone, if I don't know something that doesn't mean I should find out either. I believe in Ek Jot Ek Parkash and I admit that I am not at the level to say anything in the matter but I just wanted to know from someone who believe that they have the appropriate knowledge and are capable of making statement if this story is made up or not?
  8. I don't you caught my drift brother, like i said I can't access youtube so haven't seen the video link posted to see if its the same one I know but in the one I encountered, he seemed pretty confident about the story being from Dasham Granth and in no way he was degrading Guru Sahib, he verbalized the story and was putting down even the mere idea of someone thinking/writing/reading about guru Sahib in that manner. Now if you have the complete knowledge of Dasham Granth then you would know it yourself if its in there or not... I am in no position to make such a statement myself. But if its not in Dasham Granth then he should be dealt with accordingly and if it is then perhaps we need to look at the issue little deeper. Just on a Side note, I am not sure what are you mean by staying focused on the blasphemous language for Guru Sahib; if someone is trying to yell out loud to bring awareness to execration against Guru ji, maybe I am at fault but I personally would not consider it as a horrible offence. Now if the same person is making up random stuff to steer masses then thats a different story and should be tackled sooner than later. I hope the Sikhs out there who are fortunate enough to make a clear distinction in matters like these can put an end to any sort of panth Slandering.
  9. Panthic: I heard Prof Darshan Singh going through this story at a gurdawara as well but he provided the story there as one of the reasonings against Dasham Granth and he did not agree with the story nor he used derogatory language for Guru Sahib, infact he was way too emotional telling the story at the Gurdawara and completely discarded any credibility to it. At the end he also provided a small little booklet referencing the story and similar objectionable material. The information was in Punjabi and it would have taken me years to go through it so I haven't checked its validity yet. I am not able to view the youtube link so not sure if he is coming from the same direction as I mentioned but I just wanted to point it my experience of the story.
  10. Soormeya: Gehrat is a synonym of another punjabi word 'Izzat' or in English it is somewhat similar to 'proud' or 'reputation'. I don't know if you know the word 'be-gehrat' its just opposite to 'gehrat' and is usually used in context when there is an 'Injury to a person's character'.
  11. ^^ If you found it... do u wanna share it bro?
  12. Singh# - I don't know if you have any machining experience bro but incase you do/don't AND you want to make karra for yourself, I would suggest using some kinda High grade Ferrous Metal C60. Mahteen was correct in saying pure 100% iron is a rare species, therefore you should be looking for Ferrous material with 0.83% C and with increase in Fe3C content there is an affect on material fracture toughness (it decreases). I would not suggest not looking anything beyond 0.83% as it simply transforms from ductile to brittle. The machinability is reduced beyond this point and if you are looking at making it yourself it would just get harder and harder. As Bundha mentioned, it would be ideal to go with circular tubing for the size that you want and depending on your experience I would say you can go as fancy as CNC or you may find Lathe as the easiest operation. Now finding the material is real easy if you go to a college or University, ideally every University has a machineshop with different Fe3C grade material and also it should have Lathe for machining. Incase, you do not have an access to a University machineshop, you can hit yellowpages. Hope it helps, Waheguru Ang Sang!
  13. well...As far as I know, Zee punjabi isn't a dedicated TV channel only for Sikhs community. Its a Punjabi channel covering Sikhs, and Hindus and their punjabi cultural beliefs and traditions. They are just showing whats out there in the Punjabi practices which is different than Sikhi so to cut it short - No jio, I don't see any problem with it.
  14. I am little skeptical about the names of all three accused, I have heard of Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler involved in 1984 case but Sajjan Singh and Jagdish Singh :D . Might be possible that they could be Rajputs but kinda odd to me.
  15. I believe its just that over the time an act of bravery and nobility that Sikhs depicted has been turned as a stereotyping insult to them. If I am not wrong when someone pulls this 12’O clock joke on a Sikh, they are implying that Sikhs are completely out of their minds at that time and WILL mess up at w/e they doing... I think most of the Sikhs in India would have had faced such remarks and come to think of it, maybe we were outta our minds when we shed our blood to save ppl around us just to be mocked about it by the very same ppl.
