  1. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! check this out: http://www.sikhnet.com/Sikhnet/discussion....92?OpenDocument When recitation of Gurbani cured me of deadly cancer, I experienced God. If God is with me, who can be against me ? Not even the deadliest disease of cancer can take my life away and that is exactly the divinely inspiring message of the truly miraculous story of my victorious battle against bone cancer which was medically diagnosed to be multiple myloma. It was the continuous recitation of Gurbani that not only cured me of bone cancer that had already destroyed most of my bones in my skeleton, but also shattered my will to live. The blessings of Guru Granth Sahib not only triggered and accelerated the processes of complete and total cure in my body, but the Guru also enabled me to experience God. This also inspired me to pursue Nam therapy to totally and permanently get rid of otherwise fatal bone cancer. Can Shabad-Kirtan and faithful recitation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib save me from fatal clutches of cancer? Can such a miracle happen? These were the posers that repeatedly crossed my mind and also dominated my dreams. Initially, I dismissed such ideas and being a science researcher with American educational background, I did not even believe in the existence of god. I have always been taught by my American scientists, teachers and professors that our life and the universe are governed by the irrefutable and irreversible laws of science and that God w as nothing but a 'concept' or an illusion invented by timid and non-scientific minds. Hence, I have never been to any place of worship and also never prayed. But not anymore. It was April 27th 2002 when three different teams of oncologists and hematologists from Mumbai, Surat and Ahmedabad presented me with the unanimous medical investigation reports based on their repeatedly unanimous findings, they passed their judgment with one voice that my life is going to end in a few days as the deadly cancer called multiple myloma has ruined most of my bones that are functionally vital for my survival. On April 29th , I had completed three and half years of painful life as a terminally bed-ridden cancer patient. I was slowly dying of cancer. The bony structures of my right ear had been eaten away by bone cancer that gave me total deafness in my right ear. Repeated audio graphs done by several E.N.T. surgeons proved beyond doubt that the decibel loss was irreversible and so immense that Dr. A.B.R. Desai in Mumbai, who is reputed to be the final authority on E.N.T. ailments, told me that there was something very tragically wrong with the bones in my right year and after trying several treatments, Dr. Desai told me that he has no medicine for my ailment and that I will never be able to hear with my right ear. The reputed E.N.T. surgeon Dr. Farida Wadia of civil hospital was of the opinion that if the loss of hearing in the right year was not due to nerve deafness and was really a symptomatic manifestation of some un-diagnosed ailment then the hearing will return after that un-diagnosed ailment is cured. Is she blessed with 6th, 7th and 8th sense? I guess say so because that is exactly how the events ran their course. Dr. Farida Wadia was also using her imagination like telescope in time and exactly predicting things which were yet to come. Later, it was Dr. Kiran Shah, the senior most reputed oncologist hematologist in Surat who himself performed bone marrow analysis and gave me the shocking news that I am not only suffering from bone cancer called multiple myloma but the cancer has already destroyed much my vital bones. As per his advise, electrophoresis of the blood and MRI - [ magnetic resonance imaging ] - of brain and skull as well as Citi Scan were also done at Mahavir General Hospital which confirmed beyond doubt that I am slowly but surely dying of bone cancer. I had been loosing appetite and had developed dislike for food. [anorexia nervosa] in between, I had also suffered from tumor on the right side of my head which gave me excruciating headache and giddiness. I lost orientation and would fall after walking for 30 seconds. As soon as cancer was diagnosed, I was immediately admitted to government civil hospital and six chemotherapy sessions were administered – one every 28th day. This further destroyed my appetite and all the hair on my head and body were gone. I suffered these agonies for more than three and half years when on April 27th 2002, three teams of doctors and oncologists advised me that I should prepare my will as I had only a few days left. Now, this was the phase when the divine miracle began to take shape. It was Sardar Kesar Singh, the owner of reputed " Kwality Group of Hotels and Restaurants" in Surat and his son Sardar Manjeet Singh, who suggested to me that I should undertake a pilgrimage to the holy Golden Temple at Amritsar and offer Akhand Paath and Ardaas with complete faith and total devotion and pray before Sri Guru Granth Sahib to cure me of my cancer and bless me with good vibrant health and long life to remain in his service. I initially, took this suggestion very lightly and argued back that I do not understand Punjabi or Gurmukhi and would therefore, not follow any word of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and whatever brief knowledge of Sikhism and Sri Guru Granth Sahib I acquired was in April of 1999, when I wrote six researched articles on the 300 years of Khalsa celebrations published in the Indian press. But, Sardar Kesar Singh, who is also the president of Gurdwara at Udhana-Surat, convinced me that Sri Guru Granth Sahib's blessings are not restricted to those who speak or understand Punjabi or Gurmukhi. It is the faith and sincere devotion to the Guru which makes you worthy of his blessings. I found Sardar Kesar Singh's advice very much inspiring. Moreover, my sister-in-law Miss Kunti, a staunch devotee of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and a faithful follower of principles of Sikhism since her childhood, was equally instrumental in motivating me to undertake this pilgrimage. she taught me the basic philosophy of Sikhism and brought me a copy of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in English. My mother-in-law Ms.Shanti Hotchand Khatri, have a separate room at their bungalows at Baroda where they offer prayers, Ardaas and listen to Shabad Kirtans every early morning. Their persuasion proved to be decisive. So we left by Golden Temple Mail express train which departed from Surat at around 1-15 a.m. on April 29th 2002. We were received by the staff of Golden Temple and particularly Sardar Diljeet Singh Bedi who is in charge of liaisons with press and the public. Myself being a leading journalist, foreign-educated researcher and U.S.A. trained science writer, was given a VIP treatment and given accommodation in room no. 16 of Sri Arjan Dev Niwas. Since I had only a few days to live according to my doctors, they quickly made preparations for Akhand Paath and Ardaas after I paid Rs 2100 as fees. My wife Kanta, my daughter Halley and my brother-in-law's daughter Puja also sat with me. I was permitted to photograph and tape-record entire Akhand Paath as well as Shabad Kirtans which I wanted to keep listening till I was to breath my last on my death - bed. But I was never to be lying on my death-bed because the moment the Granthi started reciting the Akhand Paath , I began to feel streams of energy entering and flowing thru my body. It rose majestically from the pages of Shri Guru Granth Sahib like a serene cool flame of light entering my body through my fingers. The excru ciating pain which I had suffered while struggling to reach the Golden Temple also disappeared. After 48 hours, I got up on my own two feet and began to feel and enjoy such vibrant health that I almost ran with joy towards Sri Arjan Dev Niwas and quickly climbed the stairs to my room no. 16. My appetite returned. I first took bath and then visited Jaliyanwala Bagh and then went to the 'Hotel Cityheart' and for the first time in three and half years I enjoyed a variety of Punjabi and Chinese foods which I had missed like deserts miss the rains. We returned to Surat on 18th May 2002 and on 25th May again bone marrow analysis and electrophoresis tests were done on my body. No cancer was detected. Hence, to obtain second medical opinion, the samples were sent to Mumbai and Ahmedabad and medical doctors there also confirmed that the bone cancer is gone. My oncologist at Ahemedabad Dr. Pankaj Shah was preparing for stem cells transplant on me which was to have cost me Rs. nine lakhs. The entire medical world was taken by surprise . All doctors agreed that this is, indeed, a miracle because there is no medicine in Allopathy that can cure deadly cancer within 48 hours and effect a 180 degree change. The latest electrophoresis : serum protein test done is dated April 7th 2003 at Abha Clinical Laboratory. The doctors have signed this medical test report with comments: " no myeloma band." I have preserved all the medical reports and x-rays done before and after the Akhand Paath and Ardaas at Golden Temple and they all tell the true story of my miraculous cure. Ever since this miracle, I am not only experiencing Guru's vibrations within me but also feel God's spiritual energy within me which inspires me and guides me in thought and deed, and vibrate in unison with him. I am joyfully back to " cheers and gears of life.", soulfully sharing my God-Given spiritual energy with those who love and faithfully listens to Guru Granth Sahib and enrich their mind, body and soul with divinely vibrant health . Now, I am enjoying the life of guru-inspired faith and taking Sri Guru Granth Sahib and God as my constant companion. It is the miracle and the divine magnetic spell of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, which I also realized through Nam therapy that has not only blessed me with healthy life but considering my greatly vibrant health, spiritual strength and new youthful looks and glamorous shining black hair, the same oncologists tell me that I am totally free of all kinds of diseases. I myself feel so close to the Guru that something tells me that I will live for 125 years and remain in Guru's service and bring true love, happiness and inspiration to all my friends. My life has taken a spiritual turn. I get sound sleep without any sleeping pills. Since 25th April 2002, I am no longer on any medicine. I read Nitnem and get sound sleep and get up early to read Paath and enjoy Shabad Kirtan on Punjabi TV channel. Guru's teachings have gone a long way in dispelling the darkness of ignorance. Guru has not only changed my destiny but made me a devotee with the faith that is not blind but enlightened. So often, I see and meet Gurus in my dreams and they taught me a new healthy life-style to give happiness to others. I am never angry. I have no bad habits and always remain jovial. Now, my motto is: ' people enjoy the happiness they feel. but I enjoy the happiness I give. Guru's one of the teachings says : " Kirat Karani and Wand Chhakana." - meaning: earn the fruits of your hard work ‘Naam Japana’; and share your fruits with others with love. I believe in the sun even when it is not shining. I believe in love even when not feeling it. I believe in God even when he is silent. There is one God. God is truth. He is the creator of the universe and all beings. He is without fear and without hatred. He is the eternal being and the divine soul, birth less, self enlightened. He is enemy to none. Through grace of the Satguru he is met. Diseases and sins are destroyed by hearing the name of God says Gu ru Nanak. The Name, revealed to me by Guru's advice, is the breath of my life and the praise of the lord is my life's vocation. " Truth is great but greater than truth is truthful living." says Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The Khalsa belongs to [ the wondrous guru ] God; all victory of is the victory of [the Wondrous guru ] Wahe Gurujika Khalsa- Wahe Guruji ki Fateh. 3. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Well Let me answer according my knowledge of gurmat which is indeed miniscule. 1. I dont think theres any need for a jot in dardaar sahib, other than when its needed to be for light or decoration.I have seen people sometimes going to the jot and bowing to it.It doesnt make sense, what else do we need when there is our Guru present there.Lets learn to bow to jot in Guruji, these other jots created by us in ignorance will only take us towards darknees rather than bringing any light to us.It will only make us miss the point of recognising and being able to see eternal jot in our Guru Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Well Baba ji might have said so,so that the light is always enough for akhand path or it makes the atmosphere more spritual and will make the pathis do path with more love.Ofcourse someone like baba ji would definitely see only the jot in SGGS as most important one.Sometimes we take literal translations of bachans of mahapurakhs and get confused.Bhul chuk maaf.2.Though I have not witneesed yet an akhand path which has exceeded 48 hours but I think theres nothing in Rehat Maryada which says it has to be 48 hours only or it cant be more or less.I think the basic purpose of akhand path is to go th rough all the jewels present in SGGS and in the process doing sewa.Sometime those jewels are well taken by the pathi jis, sometimes pathi ji might not be so much absorbing Gurbani and some listener might get hold of these jewels by listening to gurbani and ofcourse continous path always generates a spiritual energy and atmosphere which can do wonders. Now there should be nothing wrong in doing path continously but little slowly if the pathi feels so or if the listeners like that more .It can help people absorb gurbani more.ofcourse it can be slow but if its akhand path it has to be continous without break.I think the tradition of completing path in 48 hours has just been taken for granted and its become an unwritten rule unconsciously. well i am not aware of any maryada which asks to do this.If someone has some source of this please share with sangat. Please let sangat know the source .For know I think its manmat to do this. Please bear my lack of knowledge and expereince and firgive if I have said something against gurmat or something wrong. 4. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Well our gurus fought against cast system. If we read gurbani it makes very clear that a person cant be high or low just bcos he or she is born to some cast.If someone feels superior for having an upper cast or feels low bcos of lower cast then its just ignorance. Best thing for sikhs is not to use any surname with name bcos our name should only be singh or kaur ,otherwise it shows we are more proud of our surname than singh or kaur .We should be proud of using singh or kaur with our names without any surnames.it will also unite us as a panth.People who are still using cast names with names are doing so in ignorance of sikhi or in ego which is again an ignorance. About situations in pinds of punjab, well even though sikhi is against many practices, these things are still deep routed in punjabi society. But not all are same, those who know sikhi well know these things dont have any importance.isuue of casts is one of those things which is deep routed in punjabi society(except for those who live truely by sikhi) and all cast considerations during marriages are under effect of that only.but there is something i beleive is right,That is the marrying people should not be from the same subcast(if both are of same cast as well).I guess scientific reason for this is that people of same subcast (within a cast)are most likely to have common gene pool and in such cases the children are most likely to be born with disabilities. Now this consideration need to be there only if one is marying within same cast.If someone is marrying another cast then ofcourse there should be no problem with anything in this regard.this is what i know from my knowledge ,i would request sangat here to say something on this aspect if someone knows better. As i said caste thing is something which is not in sikhi but surely still in punjabi society, and it is also fact that many people who know sikhi well and find a suitable match in another cast dont hesitate to marry.I have a relative who married in another cast, there were some initial concerns of families but there were good sikhs on both sides and it worked out fine and they now have great life together. Bhul chuk maaf. Gurfateh

  6. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Yes it is that time when every sikh should pay humble respects to the martyrs of panth. Also it is time when we should look into ourselves and see where we are compared to those shaheeds. We say big things but when it comes to action we dont stand up. This courage to walk on the path of truth and justice as tought by our Gurus and as exemplified by our Gurus in their own lives, doesnt come by just shouting jakare or khalistan zindabad. It comes by making ourselves strong and true by the power of Bani, bana, rehat, simran and sewa ,then only we can have singhs who are not afraid to give their heads for the couse of justice and truth. Bhul Chuk maaf Gurfateh
  7. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Here is an article by Yuktanand Singh Ji On sikhnet on Yoga and Kundalini(Kundalini is main thing practised by 3HO). I found it helpful in understanding whats real place of Yoga in sikhi and otherwise.I hope others can also benefit from it. Gurfateh **** http://www.sikhnet.com/sikhnet/discussion....33;OpenDocument *** Someone asked me a question about Kundalini. I would like to share my thoughts about Yoga and Kundalini with the Sangat. A short answer to this question, "What does Gurbani say about Kundalini," would be, not much. This word occurs only once in Gurbani, "Kundalini rises in Sat Sangat" (SGGS 1402:10). Patanjali writes, "Yoga is removal of mind's noise. Then, the observer can become established in view of the Self." Gurbani does not oppose this form of Yoga. Rather Gurbani supports it. All the Shabads that seem to censure 'Yoga' condemn, in fact, only the physical activities and rituals touted as Yoga. Gurbani does not oppose the practice of correct Yoga that is suited for the modern people of this age. Educated Sikhs need to grow out of their phobia of this term. Practice of, correct conduct (Yama), correct diet (Part of Niyama), correct posture (Asana), correct breathing (Prananyama), control of the senses (Pratyahara), mental concentration (Dharana), and meditation (Dhyana), to name just a few, are natural elements of a truly devoted Sikh's daily lifestyle. Correct form of ' ;Yoga' is the natural outcome of a Sikh's submission to the Guru. However, it is practiced as subservient to the practice of Naam Simran. When a sincere desire to see god is awakened inside, one cannot help practicing the above naturally. Those who condemn these components, without any practice of their own, will continue to wander off the path. Yoga exercises do not lead to God realization, per se. Most of the time they result in an obsession with the body and its functions, because they are self-directed, without submission to the Guru. Practice of different postures or some other physical disciplines as means to liberation, is not supported anywhere in Gurbani, either. Such acts only help boost one's ego. However, weights and martial arts training would also boost one's ego also. Should we condemn them too? Yoga is condemned in Gurbani if it dominates our outlook and makes us preoccupied with the body and its functions, if it keeps us away from Naam Simran and inner Bhakti, or if it turns into a mere show of rituals. There is no harm in following simple yoga exercises to improve health, including practice of simple Pranayama. We need to regard Yoga just like other exercises, only for what they are worth, no more and no less. As we know, the word Kundalini refers to the energy (Prana), represented by a symbolic snake that is coiled up and sleeping at the level of Mooladhara Chakra. Under proper conditions, this energy rises through the Sushumna. Sushumna is a channel that runs from the base of spine to head. In ordinary humans the Sushumna is dormant and never used. As this channel opens, the energy rises and passes through each of the seven Chakras. Different qualities and perceptions are intensified at each Chakra. In Hatha Yoga and Raja Yoga, the control of Prana is accomplished through various exercises, including Pranayama, control of breath and energy in the channels called Ida and Pingala that run on either side of the Sushumna. However, according to Gurbani, cleansing of mi nd, as a result of following Guru?s teaching leads to the knowledge and opening of the energy channels naturally (SGGS 974:6). http://www.sikhnet.com/sggs/translation/0974.html Gurbani does not dwell upon this subject because, rising of Kundalini is a manifestation of enlightenment, while, enlightenment is not a result of raising the Kundalini. Producing a symptom artificially does not lead to a particular condition. The same way, Kundalini cannot be raised to the Sahasrara (the highest) Chakra without enlightenment. Gurbani does not place the cart before the horse. A Sikh, therefore, seeks enlightenment rather than being busy raising the Kundalini. This is discussed at the end of "Sidh Gosht" (SGGS 944-6). We could say that the Sikh way of raising the Kundalini is the "pull" method (Kundalini rising naturally through pull of Gurbani) rather than the "push" method (desperate personal efforts) of a Yogi. Kundalini is simply a way of describing the phenomena that occur in the body and, at the finer energy levels during our spiritual advancement. Even though certain exercises may help concentrate the energy in Sushumna, doing so by itself can not lead to enlightenment and the ultimate aim of Yoga is not fulfilled (SGGS 946:5). In fact energy directed to higher Chakras without proper direction and Bhakti under the guidance of Guru, leads to erratic and sometimes disastrous consequences. For instance, the earliest consequence of rising Kundalini would be intensified desire for sex, to release the pent-up energy. If Bhakti is not strong enough to subdue this urge for the higher aim, you can imagine how far one can advance spiritually. A fruit that is ripened slowly and naturally, on the branch is much sweeter than the one that is plucked early and forced to ripen artificially (SGGS 1109:2). The same way, when Prana is controlled and channeled properly as a natural consequence of Naam Simran and following Guru 's teaching, the results are much sweeter. This is one reason that Guru Ji did not dwell upon controlling the Prana. As stated in the beginning, Kundalini rises spontaneously when we are in Sat Sangat. The animal desires are controlled easier through Sat Sangat also, and this results is success. A common problem is that we do not know how to be in Sat Sangat. Mere sitting in a Gurudwara or Singing Gurbani is not Sat Sangat. We believe, and we claim a lot based upon what Gurbani says about the greatness of Sat Sangat, but this activity has little influence upon us. We have very little to show and to prove, the benefits and an uplifting of our own personality by Sat Sangat. This shows that something is missing. We need to learn how to be in Sat Sangat. Humbly Yuktanand Singh
  8. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Well Kandola veerji ,let me correct you,its Nanak Jhira Sahib Gurdawra you are talking about not Nanak Tirath. I have been to Nanak Jhira Sahib recently and even before .It is located near Hazoor Sahib. As for the foot prints there. The actual place from where the spring of water is continuously flowing since Guru Ji touched a part of earth there,is not visible and is behind a small enclosure. So the foot prints made of marble near the place where water gets collected first ,the one which is visible to sangat,is in my opinion only symbolic one and not actual. It jut signifies that Guruji has touched a part of earth near that place with His feet.and that is how he got drinking water coming from that place. I am not sure about the gurdwara in Nepal, but it might be same case with this gurdwara. Bhul chuk maaf Gurfateh
  9. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Rochak I think many sikhs will think like you that its just an effort by congress to make us forget their deadly sins. And the suspicion is quite right at its place but my personal opinion is that sonia preferred Manmohan Singh for the following reasons: 1.He is neutral.doesnt have any fights or grudges with other party members. 2.He is the most popular and respected congress man mainly due to his work as finance minister. 3.He is clean man.Doesnt have any scandals on him till now. I dont think Sonia would have given His being sikh much thought. Wounds of sikhs will lessen only on an apology for bluestar. BUt lets accept the fact that we should not expect all rosy things from Him for sikhs just bcos he is a sikh. But as i have said in another post this helps sikhs in many ways. And it does no harm to sikhs.Rest only time and His actions will tell. As far as our brother Narad Muni is concerned,I think we are all aware of people coming on these forums and saying such things ,so theres no reason to get provoked.Everyone acts and says only in the way his or her mind is conditioned by the information one gets.Lets leave the debate "whether blue star was blunder or not" out .lets not get involved in that discussion even if provoked.I am sure majority of us here know the truth quite clearly. My apologies for anything said wrong. Gurfateh
  10. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Lets not start bashing Manmohan Singh even before we know enough about him.I have taken note of the following things regarding him becoming PM: 1.A Sikh PM.First time in India.Sikhs jokes take a beating. 2.One of the few well known sikhs who have last name as Singh and not any caste. 3.Sikh with a briliiant track record, integrity, honesty, called architect of indian reforms.Brings good recognition of sikhs in India and internationally as well. 4.I heard his wife on TV saying his favourite couplet is "deh shiva bar mohe" shabad by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. 5.He said 84 riots and Gujrat riots will not happen again. At least by this he made people aware that 84 riots were something horrible and were wrong and compared it with Gujraat riots. At least he has that in His mind. How many times did vaajpayee talked about 84?? 6.He is going to be known internatinally now.France will know what sikh and turban is,America will know that sikhs are not muslims. We have got a brand ambassador for Sikhi. 7.India will have greater respect for sikhs, cos they will know now even better how much sikhs have contributed to this country. 8.RSS takes a beating,by him becoming PM everyone knows he is a Sikh and he is being called Sikh natianlly and internatinally. So clear statement that gets into masses of India:Sikhs are not hindus. Now about that "ohm" sign in his room, well I have some chardikala friends here who rented a house and it has hindu Gods wall hangings, they didnt care about it,it does them no harm.May be owner of the house wanted like that in this case.I remember someone once gif ted me ganesha idol, the person who gifted was hindu,I didnt refuse it and kept it some where without any reverence for it .So it might be just something like that, lets not get paranoid about just a small hanging in His house.I saw on TV all his relatives are keshdhari at least. 9.TV in India are showing lots of sikhs, mostly His relatives. This will make both Indians and foreigners think about sikh religion and philosophy. 10.If by Guru Jis grace,he did well as PM,he can become a national face of India, and that will be a Sikh. Some foreigners naive about India might even think all indians are Sikhs!! Just my opinions on this.Bhul chuk Maaf. Nobody claims he is a chardikala and rehatdhari sikh but He can definitely make things easier for Chardikala and rehatdhari Sikhs both in India and abroad and who knows one day he himself might become one. And yeah his beard is white. He doesnt colour hair. Gurfateh
  11. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! My letter to Gurmustak Singh Ji on this.I got no response for this which I think is a response in itself. waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh Dear Gurmustuk Singh Ji, I appreciate the work you and your team is doing for the panth and I have always beleived that you people are doing a great sewa. But I think its my duty to bring to your notice something in your Youth Forum area. Please refer to the following link http://www.sikhnet.com/sikhnet/youth.nsf/b...87003a227e?Open Well I will just keep my points here and would like you to answer them. 1.In this post it has been said that "Baba Nihal Singh, a Nirankari Jethedar in Anandpur Sahib is one of the most spiritual Sikhs I know" .also "others consider them as the best Sikhs".It is true that its not our business to judge people, nor I think I have the capability to say who is or who is not a sikh.I am just wondering does sikhnet or its sewadars beleive that Someone can be sikh even if they do not beleive in SGGS as their ultimate Guru and even if they dont beleive in Amrit and rehat maryada. Its no secret that Nirankaris dont beleive in SGGS as their ultimate Guru nor do they beleive in panj piare, amrit or rehat maryada ,so how can a Nirankari be called a sikh? Yes baba Nihal Singh might be a very spiritual person ,I have nothing against him personally but he can be a Great Nirankari but not a great Sikh.In 1978 Nirankaris set out to declare some kind of seven stars against Sikhs 5 piare. They also disrespected SGGS,our Living Guru, notwithstanding this some great sikhs went ahead to stop them and were martyred.Till this day we remember those shaheeds with reverence ,but calling Nirankaris best or spiritual sikhs is akin to laughing at their martyrdom.I am told(but i am not sure) that there is a hukamnama from Sri Akal Takht where Sikhs have been asked to keep distance from Nirankaris. 2.If you read respectable GTKK's response to what i wrote he or she has not answered my queries at all.Yes there have been great spiritual people in other releigions but they were best or spiritual hindus or muslims or some other releigion not sikhs. Will we call any spiritual person on earth a Sikh ? 3.GTKK says:"There are so many incidents of Sikhs murdering Hindus, Muslims, etc....as there are incidents of Hindus or Muslims of murdering people...as there are Christians. Does this mean that all Sikhs, Hindus, Muslims and Christians are not GOOD ....(what ever religion they are)? So many horrible things have been done in the name of religion. Even today. When are we going to learn to stop judging one another...being fanatical, prujudiced, narrow minded, self-righteous and hateful?" I never meant to say someone is bad ,It is just assumed by GTKK JI.Just because some one is not bad and is very spiritual ,we will call him a Sikh?I dont understand what kind of justification is this.I am not calling any one bad just because they have done things against sikhi. In fact I am not calling anyone bad at all.Its just that person in question might be good Nirankari or whatever beleif he belongs to. 4.Examine your own consciousness from within...and follow what your intuition tells you...not your ego...not your desires...not our intellect...not fashion...not your parents...not your friends...but your inner Higher Consciousness. I completely agree with the above statement but dont understand what does it have to do with my query?? And does this statement helps to support that nirankaris can be cal led "best sikhs" or "most spiritual sikhs". 5.Once again I repeat that may be person mentioned is a great soul but I ask you if you consider calling a Nirankari Jathedar or Nirankari Sant "best sikh " or "most spiritual sikh".Please answer my question directly by not getting into any remarks which say everything but the thing asked. 6.My objection is because someone who might have enough faith in sikhnet and who has no other source of info might actually beleive that Nirankaris are sikhs and might start attnding their functions thereby getting drifted from the sikhi. What if someone asks abour radha Swamis tommorow?would you go ahead and call a spiritual Radha Swami a sikh??.. 7.Yes we should not argue on who is and who is not a sikh but at least we know that Sikhs beleive in SGGS as their final and ultimate Guru, they beleive in Amrit (even if hey are not amrithari yet),and I think you beleive in Akal takht and we know (which i have to confirm yet) there is a hukamnama. I apologise for any harsh words and I wish i could discuss this topic on sikhnet discussion forum too to know what other participants think of this, but i dont know whether sikhnet policies allow it.I still intend to discuss this issue there at some time and get other peoples views on this.May be I am completely wrong!! Please respond to my queries and questions,i am not writing to GTKK because i think he or she doesnt have anything more to add on this.So I am awaiting your response to this mail eagerly. Please answer my questions as clearly as possible. My apologies once again for anything said wrong. And i repeat this is not to undrmine great sewa being put by sikhnet people. Gurfateh Harminder Singh
  12. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I didnt know these singhs and singhnee personally but am very grieved on this incident.Just finished going through all the responses to this post. Its really a great loss for the panth and we can only do ardaas that we get more such singhs and singhnees to spread sikhi. And do ardas that their soul rests with waheguru ,they have earned what they came here for and left. As a tribute to them we should try to be firm on their footsteps and try to be like them. That will be a real tribute to them. And also its time to reflect on our minds that our time here in life is reducing each moment. We dont know when that momnent will come when we will have no more swas.Every moment spent under influences of maya is going waste ,lets try to do our best, and try to do ardaas with heart and try not to waste our time in maya. May waheguru bless these beautifull souls, and may he get more sikhs to fill the void and to lead . Gurfateh
  13. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Thanks Rochak paji..So from all it is clear the words are by Guru Nanak Dev Ji.I never knew about karni nama and raj nama. Are there any more writing of Gurur Nanak Dev Ji which are not actually in SGGS?? Thanks once again Gurfateh
  14. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Mithun is a big flop himself. He holds the record of having most number of flops in indian cinema. But how much they can ignore the feelings of sikhs while trying to cash in on anything they get is personified by this movie. Its best to avoid hindi bollywood crap for they dont have much substance and they show sikhs in bad image.why sponsor such stupidity by paying them? gurfateh
  15. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Congratulations Vickey Singh for your achievements on this path. You have lot more to do.waheguru is with you. Its very heartening to see young sikhs getting involved in accepting and promoting true sikhi.Keep up the good work. Also I think more and more of us should try to get such things in the media which will make other people know more about sikhs. Gurfateh
